Before Using the Appliance for the First Time
Ensure hands are dry when using the appliance. Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and dry it before use. -

Start the appliance and allow steam to escape. -
Cleaning the Sole
Iron an old piece of cotton or linen fabric to clean the sole of the iron. -
Filling the Duct with Lid
Fill the duct with a lid with a maximum of 350 ml of water.

Safety Instructions
- Mains connection: The voltage must comply with that shown on the appliance label.
- Never pull on the mains cable / with damp hands. Disconnect the mains plug in case of faults during use, before cleaning, relocation, and after use. The plug must be within reach at all times.
- RRegularlycheck if the power cable/appliance/extension lead is defective. Never switch on damaged appliances (after falling / leaky) incl. mains lead – have repairs carried out / obtain a replacement from the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s service point, or from qualified experts.
- Never carry or pull the appliance by the flex. Don’t pull the flex over sharp edges. Don’t wedge it. Don’t bend it. A short circuit can occur if the cable breaks.
- Switch the appliance off and pull the plug out of the mains when it is not in use. Don’t wind the flex around the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance in water / other fluids. The danger of short-circuiting!
- Children aged 8 years or over and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, lack of experience, or knowledge may only use the appliance if they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or if they have been shown how to use the appliance safely and they have understood the risks inherent in its use. Cleaning and maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children without supervision.
- Children should not be allowed to play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its power cable out of reach of children aged under 8. Never leave the appliance unattended while in operation.
- Keep packaging (e.g. plastic bags) away from children.
- Never place the appliance/cable on hot surfaces or near open flames. Do not store/expose the appliance to intense heat (from radiators, or prolonged sunshine). Only extinguish burning appliances using a fire blanket.
- Do not use attachments not recommended/sold by the manufacturer.
- The appliance is designed for household use and not for industrial operation. Do not operate the appliance outdoors.
- Operate and put down the appliance vertically on a dry, even, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Allow the appliance to cool before storing it away.
- Do not use this appliance near the water (bathtubs, washbasins, etc.) nor expose it to rain or other humidity. Ensure hands are dry when using the appliance!
- Should however the appliance fall into the water, only take it out after pulling the plug. Do not use the appliance anymore. It has to be checked by an authorized service department first.
- Only trained experts should repair electrical appliances. Unskilled repairs can cause considerable danger to the user.
- No warranty for any damage can be accepted if the appliance is used for an improper purpose, wrongly operated, or unprofessionally repaired. In such a case, any warranty claim is void.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated or connected to an external timer or separate remote control switch.
- Never place fingers or objects into appliance openings. Do not cover appliance opening.
- The appliance will become very hot during use – do not touch it, otherwise, you may burn yourself.
- Do not fill any chemicals, perfume, vinegar, or descaler into the water tank.
- Never take an appliance into an explosive environment or where oxygen is administered.
- High temperatures are generated during use which could cause burns. Always use only the handle.
- Never leave the hot iron unattended! Never direct steam jet against parts of the body!
Disposal
- Make worn-out appliances unusable. Pull out the mains plug and sever the cord.
- Electric appliances are to be returned to a shop of sale or handed over to an official dump.
- No household waste. Must be disposed of by local regulations.

Warranty Information
With this appliance, you get a 5-year guarantee starting from the date of purchase. Under the guarantee, in the case of material or manufacturing defects, the appliance will be replaced or repaired. Replacement with a new appliance or money-back return is not possible. Excluded from the guarantee are normal wear and tear, commercial use, alterations to the appliance as purchased, cleaning activities, consequences of improper use or damage by the purchaser or a third person, and damage, that can be attributed to external circumstances or caused by the batteries. The guarantee requires that the faulty appliance be returned at the purchaser’s expense along with the retail ououtletated and signed guarantee card or a sales receipt.
