WARNING: Shut off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse panel before removing the old fixture, ballast, or fluorescent tubes. If you are unfamiliar with electrical installations, we recommend you contact a qualified electrician to do the installation.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: The distance between two holes is 31.4in or 800mm.

SUSPENDED INSTALLATION

Mounting to drywall

  • Drill two 1/4in. holes in the ceiling to clear the closed flaps of the toggle bolt (not included).
  • Make sure to fasten the toggle bolt into the butterfly nut before inserting the flaps into the ceiling.
  • Tighten the toggle bolt.

Mounting to wood

  • Drill two 1/16 in. diameter pilot holes in the ceiling.
  • Make sure to fasten the combo wood-machine end into the metal hook.
  • Tighten the hook screw (not included) into the wood.

Installing the bracket and clip for hanging

  • Insert the ends of the V clip (E) into the openings in the U bracket (D).
  • Snap the U bracket (D) onto the back of the fixture body near one end.
  • Repeat the installation process for the U bracket (D) and V clip (E) on the other end of the fixture body.
  • Hook the V clip (E) on each end of the fixture to the metal hooks installed in the ceiling.

Optional suspending the fixture with chain

  • Attaching the fixture light to the chain. Install one closed loop of hanging chain (F) to the metal “S” shaped hook (G) on the fixture body. Repeat this step on the other side of the fixture.
  • Attaching the chain to the ceiling Hang the fixture body by one chain set (F, G) over each hook (not included) that has been installed on the ceiling. Adjust chains to level light.
  • Insert the plug to the power socket, and turn on the switch to activate the fixture.

  • The continuous mounting steps are based on the suspended mounting.
  • Open the end cap by screwing off the two screws, remove the waterproof connector and linking cable, and punch out the knock out holes (0.86-inch) on the end of each end cap where the fixtures will connect.
  • Insert a type 1/2 out diameter conduit and nut through both open knock-out holes.
  • Insert one end of the jumper wires (not included) into the wire connectors from the first fixture, then run jumper wires through the conduit and nut (not included), and insert the other end into the wire connectors from the next fixture to make the electrical connections.
  • Refer to the suspended installation steps to finish the suspended mounting of all the fixtures.

NOTE

  • The Conduit shall comply with UL1660, UL LISTED, Liquid- tight, and suitable for outdoor use.
  • The conduit fitting comply with UL514B, UL LISTED, is Liquid-tight, and suitable for outdoor use.

Nut: P502-1/2, E256570, Conduit: PLFNCB-1/2, E361947 Multiple light fixture can be connected, up to a maximum of 8 lights.

SURFACE MOUNTING

With power disconnected to the electrical box, remove the existing fixture. Make a sketch of how the current fixture is wired (by wire color or mark the wires with masking tape and a pencil so you will know how to properly reconnect the wires to the new LED light fixture. Also, open one side of the end cap by screwing off the two screws, remove the waterproof connector and linking cable of the new fixture before the surface mounting.

Installing the U brackets

  • Hold the U brackets (D) up to the mounting surface to determine the mounting position.
  • NOTE: The U brackets (D) should be positioned 33 inches apart.
  • Mark the screw positions for the U brackets (D) on the mounting surface.
  • Drill two 1/8 in. pilot holes into the screw locations marked on the ceiling. You can also use an awl or nail to dimple the screw holes.
  • Install a drywall anchor (C) in each drilled mounting hole.
  • Insert two mounting screws (B) through the U bracket (D) and into the drywall anchors (C) installed in the mounting surface.
  • Tighten each mounting screw (B) to secure the U bracket (D) to the mounting surface.
  • Repeat the installation for the second U bracket (D)

Completing the installation

  • Snap the fixture body into the U brackets (D) installed on the mounting surface..
  • Feed the electrical connection wires through the open hole of the end cap.
  • Connect the hot and neutral (black and white) wires from the fixture body to the same color wires from the electrical box using the wirenuts.
  • Connect the green wire from the fixture body to the grounding wire from the electrical box using the wirenuts.
  • Wrap the wirenuts with electrical tape for a more secure connection.
  • Screw up the end cap and restore the power supply to turn on the light.

The continuous mounting steps are based on the surface mounting and continuous suspended installation.

NOTE: Multiple light fixture can be connected, up to a maximum of 8 lights.
