Heater Inlet Hose NON-HP2
REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS > HEATER INLET HOSE REPLACEMENT (NON-HP2) >REMOVAL PROCEDURE.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
-
Remove the air intake tube.
-
Remove the heater and surge tank hoses from the mounting clip.

Squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs.

Pull the connection apart.

Remove the inlet heater hose from the water pump.

Remove the inlet heater hose.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Install the inlet heater hose.

Install the inlet heater hose to the water pump.

Connect the heater hose to the heater core.

IMPORTANT: Firmly push the quick connection onto the heater core pipe until you hear an audible click. -
Install the heater and surge tank hoses to the mounting clip.

Install the air intake tube.

Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .

Callout/Component Name: Preliminary Procedure
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
- Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement.
- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
- Remove the air cleaner resonator outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement.
Heater Inlet Hose Quick Disconnect Procedure

Squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs and pull the connection apart.
-
The joint should audibly click upon reassembly and the technician should pull back on the joint to ensure it’s engaged properly.
Heater Inlet Hose Clamp Procedure: Using J 38185 reposition the radiator surge tank outlet hose clamps.
Special Tools: J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers -

REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS > HEATER OUTLET HOSE REPLACEMENT > REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .

Remove the air intake tube.

Remove the heater and surge tank hoses from the mounting clip.

Squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs.

Pull the connection apart.

Remove the outlet heater hose from the water pump.

Reposition the outlet heater hose clamp at the surge tank.

Remove the outlet heater hose from the surge tank.

Remove the outlet heater hose.
