Maclean MCE25 Infrared Wall Motion Sensor
Specifications
- Model: MCE25
- Type: EN Infrared Wall Motion Sensor
- Protection Rating: IP20
Description
The MCE25 is an EN Infrared Wall Motion Sensor with a protection rating of
IP20. It features a good sensitivity detector and integrated circuit, offering
automatism, convenience, safety, energy-saving, and practical functions.
The sensor utilizes infrared energy from humans as a control signal source, instantly activating the load when someone enters its detection field. It has the ability to differentiate between day and night automatically. The MCE25 is designed for easy installation and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
Installation
- Choose a suitable location on the wall for mounting the sensor.
- Ensure the power supply is switched off before installation.
- Securely mount the sensor using appropriate screws and tools.
- Connect the sensor to the power supply following the provided wiring instructions.
- Test the sensor by entering its detection field to verify proper functionality.
Operation
Once installed, the sensor will automatically detect motion within its range
and activate the connected load. It will also adjust its sensitivity based on
ambient light conditions to optimize performance.
Maintenance
Regularly clean the sensor’s lens to ensure optimal detection performance.
Check the connections periodically for any signs of wear or damage.
FAQ
-
Q: Can the MCE25 sensor be used outdoors?
A: No, the MCE25 is designed for indoor use only due to its IP20 protection rating. -
Q: What is the detection range of the sensor?
A: The detection range of the MCE25 sensor is approximately [insert range here] meters.
Installation
Infrared Wall Motion Sensor
INFO: The product adopts good sensitivity detector and integrated circuit. It gathers automatism, convenience, safety, saving-energy and practical functions. It utilizes the infrared energy from human as control-signal source and it can start the load at once when one enters detection field. It can identify day and night automatically. It is easy to install and used widely.
SPECIFICATION
- Power Source: 220-240V/AC

- Power Frequency: 50Hz
- Detection Distance: 5-12m (<24°C) (adjust.)
- Ambient Light: <3-2000LUX (adjustable)
- Working Temperature: -20/+40°C
- Time Delay: min.10sec – max. 7min
- Working Humidity: <93%RH
- Power Consumption: approx 0.5W
- Rated Load: max . 1200W/ 300W
- Detection Moving Speed: 0.6-1.5m/s
- Installation Height: 1.8-2.5m
FUNCTION : Can identify day and night: The consumer can adjust working state in different ambient light. It can work in the daytime and at night when it is adjusted on the “sun” position (max). It can work in the ambient light less than 3LUX when it is adjusted on the “moon” position (min). As for the adjustment pattern, please refer to the testing pattern. SENS adjustable: It can be adjusted according to using location. The detection distance of low sensitivity could be only 5m and high sensitivity could be 12m which fits for large room. Time-Delay is added continually: When it receives the second induction signals after the first induction, it will compute time once more on the basic of the first time-delay rest.
INSTALLATION ADVICE
As the detector responds to changes in temperature, avoid the following
situations: Avoid pointing the detector towards objects with highly reflective
surfaces, such as mirrors etc. Avoid mounting the detector near heat sources,
such as heating vents, air conditioning units, light etc. Avoid pointing the
detector towards objects that may move in the wind, such as curtains, tall
plants etc.
WARNING!
Danger of death through electric shock! Must be installed by a professional
electrician. Disconnect power source. Cover or shied any adjacent live
components. Ensure device cannot be switched on. Check power supply is
disconnected.
CONNECTION
Screw off the nail on the front cover and unload the front cover. (refer to
illustration). Find the wire hole with gasket in the bottom and pass the power
wire through hole. Fix the bottom on the selected position with the inflated
screw (refer to illustration). Connect the power wire into the connection-wire
column according to the connection-wire diagram. Install back the front cover,
tighten the screw and switch on the power.
Then you can test it.
CONNECTION-WIRE DIAGRAM: (See the illustration)
TEST: Turn the LUX knob clockwise on the maximum (sun). Turn the TIME knob
anti-clockwise on the minimum. Turn the SENS knob clockwise on the maximum.
Switch on the power; the load and the indicator lamp don’t work. After Warm-up
30sec, the indicator lamp turns on .Under the condition of no sense signal,
the load should stop working within 10sec±3sec and the indicator lamp would
turn off. After the first induction is out, make it sense again after 5~10sec.
The load should work again. When no sense signal, the load should stop working
within10sec±3sec. Turn LUX knob anti-clockwise on the minimum
(moon). If the ambient light is more than 3LUX, the inductor load should not
work after the load stop working. If you cover the detection window with the
opaque objects (towel etc), the load would work . Under no induction signal
condition, the load should stop working within 10sec±3sec.
Note: when testing in daylight, please turn LUX knob to (SUN) position, otherwise the sensor lamp could not work! If the lamp is more than 60W, the distance between lamp and sensor should be 60cm at least.
SOME PROBLEM AND SOLVED WAY
The load do not work: Please check if the connection wiring of power and load
is correct.
DISPOSAL
The device is marked with the symbol of a crossed-out rubbish container, in
accordance with the European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Products marked with this symbol should not be
recycled or disposed of with ther household waste at the end of their useful
life. The user is obliged to dispose of waste electrical and electronic
equipment by delivering it to a designated point where it is recycled. For
information on where and how to dispose of used electrical and electronic
equipment in an environmentally safe manner, the user should contact the
relevant local authority, the waste collection point or the point of sale
where they purchased the equipment.
