Product Usage Instructions

What’s in the box
The package includes the wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapter, a Type-C power connector, and a Smart button.

Interface and connector
The Type-C power connector should be used to power the adapter. The Smart button has specific functions: Press and hold for 3s then release to switch to update mode (only for Android phone). Press and hold for more than 15s to perform a factory reset.

Connection diagram
Connect the adapter to the factory USB A port or USB C port in your car. Ensure that the adapter is plugged into the USB port designated for wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto if there are multiple USB ports in your car.

How to set up wireless CarPlay
No interface will be displayed until Bluetooth pairing is successful. Follow the Bluetooth pairing instructions provided with your car’s multimedia system to set up wireless CarPlay.

How to set up wireless Android Auto
Follow the setup instructions provided with your car’s multimedia system to enable wireless Android Auto. Ensure that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your Android smartphone for seamless connectivity.

Firmware update
Firmware updating is NOT recommended when every function works well. If an update is necessary, follow these steps: The red and blue indicator lights will flash alternately while updating. Wait for more than 30s after the light is always on, then disconnect and reconnect the adapter from the USB port to complete the update process.

  Yes, this adapter allows iPhone users to wirelessly use Apple CarPlay and Android smartphone users to wirelessly use Android Auto on compatible factory car multimedia systems.

• How do I know if the firmware update is successful?
  During a firmware update, the red and blue indicator lights will flash alternately. Once the light is continuously on, wait for more than 30 seconds before disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter to complete the update.

How to set up wireless CarPlay

• Turn on your iPhone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then pair to the Bluetooth named “AUTO2-xxxx”
• Tap “Pair-Allow-Use CarPlay” on the iPhone pop-up notifications
• It will then connect to CarPlay wirelessly after a few seconds.
  NOTE! No interface will be displayed until Bluetooth pairing is successful.

How to set up wireless Android Auto

• Make sure [Wireless Android Auto] enabled in Android Auto app settings.
• Pair your smartphone with the adapter’s Bluetooth: [AUTO2-xxxx]. It will then connect to Android Auto wirelessly after a few seconds

Update on iPhone

• If your iPhone is connecting to the wireless CarPlay, enter 192.168.1.101 on iPhone’s browser, next tap “Update” if there is an update available.
• If your iPhone could not connect to the wireless CarPlay, please join the adapter’s WiFi network [AUTO2-xxxx] by manual and the password is 88888888. Next enter 192.168.1.101 on iPhone’s browser, and tap “Update”.

Update on Android smartphone

• If you have connected to the Android Auto wirelessly, disable Bluetooth and forget the WiFi network first.

• While powered on, press the button and hold for 3s then release. The led indicator will switch to green light after 1-2 seconds.

• On your phone, go to WiFi >> Advanced settings >> WiFi direct, tap [AUTO2-xxxx] and make sure it has connected.

• Enter 192.168.1.101 on smartphone browser, next tap “Update” if there is an update available.

Please enter 192.168.1.101 on your iPhone browser to submit the issue details after connected to the WiFi network [AUTO2-xxxx]

For Android users
Please follow the 1-3 steps of [Update on Android smartphone] on the previous page, then enter 192.168.1.101 to submit the issue.
