Before you start
Before you start with your installation, you should invalidate the warranty.

Important information

Keeping your Wave Spa in great condition
Your Wave Spa has been designed to give you lots of relaxation and enjoyment. To keep it in top condition, please consider the following:

  • Never switch on your Spa’s heater without water in the Spa – this will cause the heater to overheat
  • When filling your spa, the water temperature should be between 5°C/41°F and 30°C/86°F to ensure correct operation. Water either too cold or too warm will trigger an error message
  • Do not switch on your spa if the water is frozen or below 4°C/39°F
  • Make sure you that you clean your hot tub filter after every two to three uses, this will help keep the water clean and prolong the lifespan of your filters.
  • You should change your filter after every 150 hours of use. Please see our website for how to order more.

Your Wave Spa and Children
Enjoying your new Wave Spa with your family can be great fun. However, you should remember that children can drown in a very small amount of water, so please consider the following:

  • Children should not use a hot tub unaccompanied
  • Consider installing a barrier to ensure that children can’t access the Spa
  • Keep any hot tub chemicals or treatments out of reach of children
  • Always lock the spa cover when not in use
  • Lower water temperatures are recommended for children when spa use will exceed 10 mins

Electrical Safety
Always take care when using electrical appliances. When it comes to the safe setup of your Wave Spa, consider the following:

  • Do not operate if the power cable is damaged, please contact Wave to arrange a replacement.
  • Do not use electrical appliances such as a television within 1.5m of the spa.
  • The power source for the spa should be at least 2m away from the spa itself.
  • Do not bury your cable or locate it where it could be damaged by lawn mowing equipment
  • Do not plug in or unplug this product with wet hands or when you are standing in water

General safety information
Wave Spas are designed for your relaxation and enjoyment, however, safety is always paramount when it comes to water. Please enjoy your hot tub safely:

  • Don’t jump or dive in
  • Take care when getting in or out of your spa, consider taking some steps to make this easier.
  • Completely remove the cover before Use
  • The suction fittings in this spa are sized to match the specific water flow created by the pump. Never operate the spa if the suction fittings are broken or missing. Never replace a suction fitting with an incompatible one.
  • Make sure the floor is capable of supporting weights in excess of 500kg
  • Ensure the area around the spa has adequate draining to deal with overspill
  • Always keep pets away from the spa

Spas and Personal Health:
Before using your Wave Spa, you should ensure that you are in good health:

  • People with health issues such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, low or high blood pressure should consult a physician before using a spa.
  • If you are using medication, you should consult your physician before using a spa
  • If you are in any doubt as to whether you should use a spa, you should consult a physician.
  • Immediately leave the spa if you feel unwell or sleepy whilst in the water
  • Don’t use when under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Spa waters should never exceed 40°C or 104°F
  • Pregnant or potentially pregnant women should not exceed 38°C or 100°F
  • To be sure of temperature you should use an accurate thermometer

Site selection
Before installing your Wave Spa, please check:

  • The site should have plenty of room to get in and out of your spa
  • It’s sheltered from sun and bad weather
  • The space is clean and free from sharp objects
  • There isn’t any vegetation that might damage the spa

Installation

RCD Test
The RCD plug is a trip switch and a key electrical safety feature of your Wave Spa, it should be tested before each use.

  1. Insert the plug into the power outlet.
  2. Press the «RESET» button, the indicator light turns red
  3. Press the «TEST» button, the indicator light turns off.
  4. Press the «RESET» button, the indicator light turns red. The RCD works properly

Assembly

  1. Choose a flat and level surface to lay out your outer liner.
  2. If you have purchased Wave’s LED light track, run the LED lights track through the holes in the inner liner.
  3. Put the heater and inner liner inside the outer liner. Ensure the heater is by the holes in the outer liner.Wave-2-4-Tahoe -Hot-Tub-FIG- \(7\) If your RCD plug does not behave in this way, switch off the spa and  contact Wave’s Customer Services team
  4. Run the power cable and the drainage pipe through the air circulation hole.
  5. Pass the remote control cable through the xx hole.
  6. Fit the inflation cap to the heater through the liner and use the wrench to gently tighten it, this should only be lightly torque.Wave-2-4-Tahoe -Hot-Tub-FIG- \(8\)
  7. Connect the remote control to the cable by screwing it together tightly to ensure that it is waterproof
  8. Starting with the panels that go around the heater, insert the foam panels to build the structure of your spa. Ensure that the groove cut into the panels is on the outside wall. As you build the structure, leave the two panels on the opposite side to the heater as shown below
  9. Now put the inner liner over the structure and attach to the Velcro on the outer liner.Wave-2-4-Tahoe -Hot-Tub-FIG- \(9\)
  10. Insert the filter cartridge into the filter housing
  11. Attach the filter cartridge to the water inlet/outlet
  12. Close the drainage hole
  13. Fill with water (above the mini- mum water level but not exceeding the maximum level). The water teen should ensure correct operationWave-2-4-Tahoe -Hot-Tub-FIG- \(11\)

WARNING
TAKE CARE WHEN FILLING (ESPECIALLY ON FIRST USE). WATER MUST REACH THE MINIMUM LEVEL LINE BUT MUST NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM LEVEL. OVERFILLING MAY CAUSE PUMP FAILURE AND DAMAGE TO THE SPA.

Spa safety and security

Your Wave Foam Spa comes with an inflatable cover designed to retain heat. When not using your Wave Spa, it’s recommended that you use the inflatable cover to secure it. This will also ensure maximum running efficiency by keeping the heat in. To set up the cover you should:

  1. Place the inflatable section inside the
  2. Remove the inflation cap and attach the cover the inflation hose

  4. Press the Bubble button to inflate the cover, once inflated press again to stop
  5. Clip the cover on using the child-safe clipsWave-2-4-Tahoe -Hot-Tub-FIG- \(14\)

Spa Operation

When you power on your Spa, the LED display will show the current temperature of the water. You can use the temperature units selector to change between °C and °F.

Heating your spa:
°C/°F
To set your Wave Spa to heat to the desired temperature, press the + or – key and the LED display wil  start to flash, using the + or – buttons, select the desired temperature between 20°C/68°F and 40°C/104°F

Bubbles:
To activate the bubble function, press the button, pressing it again will stop the bubbles. The bubbles will automatically switch off after 30 minutes. you can re-activate them at this point if required. Running the bubbles will cool the spa.

Timer:
The timer button allows you to set your spa to start heating at a certain point. To set the timer, first press the heater button and then press and hold the timer button until the display flashes up 0.5H, you can then use the +/- buttons to set the timer.

Filter:
Press the filter button to start filtering your spa’s water.

Heater:
Press this to activate the heater and the filtering system at the same time. When the heater is active, it will switch on when the temperature of the water drops 2°C below the set temperature  After 150 cumulative hours of operation, an alarm will sound on the heater to remind you to clean your filter. You can reset the heater by Holding the button for 5 seconds to reset the timer.

Power:
The power button switches the remote control on or off. If the remote control is switched off, the Spa can be operated from the heater unit.

Troubleshooting

If your spa does suffer from an error, it will display one of the following codes. Before attempting to solve the error, it is important to disconnect your spa from the power supply.

Before switching your spa back on you should:

  • – Check the water is between the lower and upper limits
  • – Clean or replace the filter cartridges
  • – Unscrew and clean the entry and exit nozzles inside the spa and remove any waste if necessary
  • – Check that the propellor of the filter pump doesn’t contain any foreign matter
  • – Reconnect your spa

Warranty

If you purchased your Wave Spa directly from Wave, then your warranty will be automatically registered. If you purchased from a third party, please visit: www.waveglobal.com/pages/warranty for information on how to register your warranty. All Wave products are inspected before leaving the factory. We warrant this product against material defects and workmanship for a period of time (unless local law has a specific requirement) as follows:

  • – 1 year for the pump
  • – 6 months for the liner

Warranty for the product begins on the day of purchase and we will require proof or purchase to validate this. During the warranty period, we will replace or repair any defective items. Any replacement or repaired products will be warranted for the remainder of the original period.

Shipping costs
Outside of the warranty period, the cost of shipping any parts back to Wave will be the responsibility of the owner. During the warranty period, this will be the responsibility of Wave.

Warranty policy
This limited warranty does not apply to any defect arising due to negligence, accident, misuse or any other reason beyond Wave’s control included but not limited to; normal wear and tear, negligence or failure to follow the instructions in this booklet, improper or inadequate maintenance, connection to improper power supply, chemical damage, damage caused by loss of water, unauthorised modification or repair, use for commercial purpose, fire, lightening, flood or other external causes.

This warranty is only available in the country of purchase. Where the cost of repairs or replacement is not covered by this warranty, Wave will inform the owner of the cost in advance of any repair or replacement. The warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Any repairs which are made by a non-Wave-approved service centre may invalidate this warranty.
