Precautions

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING

Power Supply
Please connect the designated AC adapter to an AC outlet of the correct voltage. Be sure only to use an AC adapter that supplies 9V DC, 300mA. Unplug the AC power adapter when not in use or during electrical storms.

Location
To avoid deformation, discolouration, or other serious damage, do not expose this unit to the following conditions:

  • Direct sunlight or other heat sources
  • Magnetic fields
  • Excessively dusty or dirty locations
  • Strong vibrations or shocks
  • High humidity or moisture

Radio Frequency Interference
Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interference. Operate this unit at a suitable distance from radios and televisions.

Cleaning
Clean only with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, slightly moisten the cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers, cleaning alcohol, paint thinners, wax, solvents, cleaning fluids, or chemical-impregnated wiping cloths.

Operation

  • Please do not toggle the switch or rotate the knob heavily.
  • Please do not let paper scraps, metal debris, or other items fall inside the unit.
  • Please do not let the unit fall from a high level, or push or strike the unit heavily.

  1. SUB
    Rotate to adjust the volume level of the subjacent octave effect.

  2. UPPER
    Rotate to adjust the volume level of the upper octave effect.

  3. S.TONE
    Rotate to adjust the tone colour of the subjacent octave effect.

  4. U.TONE
    Rotate to adjust the tone colour of the upper octave effect.

  5. SAVE
    Press to scroll between 14 saving slots. Press and hold the button to confirm saving changes.

  6. DIRECT
    Rotate to adjust the volume level of the dry signal

  7. SUB footswitch LED
    Indicate the On/Off status of the lower octave effect. LED On for lower octave On; LED Off for lower octave Off.

  8. UPPER footswitch LED
    Indicate the On/Off status of the upper octave effect. LED On for upper octave On; LED Off for upper octave Off.

  9. SUB footswitch
    Press to turn the On/Off subjacent octave effect.

  10. UPPER footswitch
    Press to turn On/Off the upper octave effect.

  11. LED indicators of saving slots
    Indicate the currently selected slot. There are 14 slots, 7 for RED, and 7 for BLUE.

  12. INPUT
    1/4 mono audio (TS) jack.

  13. OUTPUT
    1/4 mono audio (TS) jack

  14. Power port
    Connect to power supply. 9V 300mA original power supply is recommended to avoid unexpected noise.

Instructions

Select saving slots
Tender Octaver X2 has 14 saving slots. 7 RED saving slots, 7 BLUE saving slots. The user can select them via the methods below:

  1. Press the SAVE button to scroll through the slots.
  2. Press the LEFT and RIGHT footswitch simultaneously, and the SAVE button and footswitch LED will start to blink as it is in the footswitch select mode. Press the left footswitch to scroll up, and press the right footswitch to scroll down. The footswitch mode will quit automatically after being idle for 3 seconds.

Turn On/Off effect modules
Tender Octaver X2 has two effect modules, the SUB (subjacent) octave module, and the UPPER octave module; press the SUB or UPPER footswitch to turn On/Off the relevant module.
Effect editing
Rotate the DIRECT to adjust the volume level of the dry signal when the pedal is On. Rotate the knob to the 5 o’clock position (maximum value), and the volume level of the dry signal will be the same as the input signal; rotate the knob to the 7 o’clock position (minimum value), and the dry signal will be Off.

  • Rotate the SUB or UPPER knob to adjust the volume level of the subjacent octave and the upper octave. When the knob is at the 5 o’clock position (maximum value), the volume level of the octave effect will be the same as that of the input signal; When the knob is at the 7 o’clock position (minimum value), the volume level of the octave effect will be Off.
  • Rotate the S.TONE or U.TONE to adjust the tone colour of the subjacent/upper octave effect.

Effect Parameter Saving

  • When any changes to the parameters are made, the scale/tonality LED indicator will blink for a reminder.
  • Press and hold the SAVE to save the current selected change. Or you can press the SAVE quickly to switch scale/tonality, or power Off the pedal to discard saving.

Factory Reset

Press and hold the SAVE button while plugging in the power cord, and the LED indicators will blink slowly, then release the SAVE button, the LED indicator will blink quickly, and then Off to finish the factory reset. Or you can unplug the power cord before releasing the SAVE button to cancel the reset.
