Precautions

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING

Power Supply

• Please use a power supply that meets UL, CSA, VED, or CCC standards
• Please use the power supply that meets manufacturer’s power requirement
• Please unplug the power supply when the device is turned off or a during thunderstorm
• Please do not expose the device which has battery power to heat or let it overheat
• If battery leakage occurs, please do not touch the liquid with your skin or eye. If you do come in contact, please see a doctor
• The battery included with with the device may cause fire or chemical burns if handled improperly

Location

To avoid deformation, discoloration, or other serious damage, do not expose this unit to the following conditions:

• Direct sunlight
• Extreme temperature or humidity
• Excessive dusty or dirty location
• Magnetic fields
• High humidity or moisture
• Strong vibrations or shocks

Cleaning

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, slightly moisten the cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, cleaning alcohol, paint thinners, wax, solvents, cleaning fluids, or chemical-impregnated wiping cloths.

Instructions

• Start

Power On the S1, the I/O indicator will illuminate, please set up the connection according to the diagram.

• Power On/Off and Battery management

Power On/Off: Toggle the power switch to On/Off to power On/Off the device.

Battery management: When the device is On, the battery indicator. When the battery is about to run out, the battery indicator will blink in RED, please charge the device via the USB port.

Charge: When the power supply is plugged in, the charging indicator will illuminate. When the charging is complete, the indicator will turn GREEN.

• Output volume level adjustment

Please utilize the MASTER knob at the side panel to adjust the master volume level.

• Preset patch selection

Display: The LCD Screen shows the currently selected preset patch.

Preset bank selection: Press footswitch A + B to Bank Down, and press footswitch C + D Bank Up.

Preset patch selection: Press footswitch A, B, C, and D to select a preset patch.

• Drum Machine/Looper

Press the footswitch B + C to switch between the preset control mode and looper mode.

(Preset Mode/drum machine + looper mode)

• Looper

REC: Press the footswitch A (footswitch LED will blink slowly) to enter recording standby mode. S1 will start recording when the first note is detected, the footswitch LED will start to blink quickly. The screen will show the recording loop as well.

PLAY: When the looper is at REC/STOP status, press the footswitch A to playback, and the footswitch LED will stop blinking. The screen will show the recording loop as well.

DUB: At the playback status, press the footswitch A to start DUB (The footswitch LED will blink quickly), and the screen will show the recording loop s well. Press the footswitch A to playback or dub, then press the footswitch A again to stop the dub.

STOP: During REC/PLAY/DUB status, press the footswitch 8 to stop, footswitch LED will stop blinking, and the loop in the display screen will stop rolling.

DELETE: Press and hold the footswitch B to delete the recorded track (the LED of footswitch A & B will be Off ). The “LD” will display on the screen.

• Drum machine

Play/stop: Press the footswitch D to play/stop the drum machine.

TAP: Press the footswitch C to enter TAP mode (The footswitch LED will blink, and the blinking speed synths with the drum machine speed). Press the footswitch C for more than 3 times to set the drum machine speed. The TAP mode will quit automatically after being idle for 3 seconds.

Drum groove selection: Press and hold the footswitch C for 2 seconds, the footswitch C/D will start to blink. Press the footswitch C or D to switch between drum grooves. The groove selection mode will quit automatically after being idle for 3 seconds, the footswitch LED will stop blinking, The display screen will show the number of the selected drum groove.

• Sync mode

Sync Off: When the sync mode is Off, the loop and drum machine will not sync with each other. The looper will start to record when the input signal is detected, the drum machine will not start to play automatically.

Sync On: When the sync is On, press the footswitch A, and the drum machine will have 4 count in beats according to the setting speed, then the loo per start to record and the drum machine start to play automatically; when the looper stop recording, the drum machine will stop simultaneously. The looper restarts and the drum machine will restarts well The speed and groove settings need to be setup properly before the recording starts, as those settings cannot be changed during recording. (During recording, the drum machine can be muted, but it cannot be stopped)

• Tuner

In the preset mode, press and hold any footswitch for 1 second to enter.

• Bluetooth

Please open the Bluetooth menu of your mobile device, search for S1, and confirm connecting. Then the S1 can play the audio tracks from the mobile device via Bluetooth, and the Bluetooth indicator will illuminate.

• USB-OTG

Prime S1 supports USB directly recording with mobile phone tablet via OTG cable, users can monitor the audio track via the OUTPUT or the headphone output jack.
In the MIXER menu of the Prime S1 App, users can adjust the OTG recording output level, the audio playback output level, and the instrument input level.

*It is recommended to use the USB-C to USB-A cable.
