Safety

  • WARNING: STRANGULATION HAZARD
    Children have STRANGLED in cords. Keep this cord out of the reach of children (more than 3ft (0.9m) away). NEVER attempt to use cord without the protective covering. Check protective covering before each use to ensure that the cord is not exposed to your child. Immediately discontinue use if protective covering is damaged or broken.

  • This product cannot replace adult supervision. Ensure your child’s health by checking on him/her regularly.

  • This product is designed for indoor use only.

  • This product is designed to be used behind or next to a standard crib, in the middle of the long side of the crib.

  • Place the product thoughtfully to avoid tripping over the base or cable.

  • This product and its packaging are not toys. Do not allow children to play with them.

  • Adult assembly is required. Keep small parts away from children when assembling.

  • Clear a large enough space for the assembly process and keep children away from that area.

  • Use only the AC power adapter included with your Nanit.

  • When disassembling, be careful to not get pinched.

Follow the in-app instructions to set up your Nanit Camera.

Choosing the height for the Floor Stand

If you will begin monitoring your baby while they are sleeping in a bassinet, adjust the height of the floor stand by removing segment 2 before assembling the floor stand (go to the next page).
Otherwise, skip to page 9.

Adjusting the height for the Floor Stand

To remove segment 2 (marked with two dots), slide the cord cover up and out of the back of the segment and pull the segment away from the cord. Store the removed segment for future use.
When you begin monitoring your baby in a crib, return segment 2 and reassemble the stand to full height (page 19).

Assembling the stand

For easiest assembly, start at the top. The next pages will guide you through the full assembly process.

Start with the top segment (A). Align the button of the top segment with hole of the next segment and click into place (B & C). Pull the excess cord through as you assemble (D). Repeat for the remaining segments (E).

Lay the assembled pole on the floor near the base, and tilt the base on its side (F). Pull the excess cord through the bottom of the base and slide the pole into the base (G & H).

Consider where your power outlet is located in relation to where you will put the stand, and choose which direction you would like the cord to go out from the base (left or right).

With the base on its side, press the elbow piece into the chosen side of the base until it clicks, using the ridges on the elbow piece as a guide (A). When in place, the elbow piece should curve towards the direction of your outlet.
Pull any excess cord through the elbow piece and press the cord into the base (B).

Connect the cord management channels by squeezing the end of one channel and inserting it into the other channel. Then twist until it locks in place.

Plug the power cord into the power adapter, and then plug the adapter into the outlet (A).
Attach the camera to the stand (B).

Pair camera using your Nanit app.

Adjusting the camera angle

To fine-tune the view of the camera, adjust the angle of the neck of the stand.
Turn the knob counter clockwise to loosen and adjust the neck to the desired angle (A).
Turn the knob clockwise to tighten and secure the neck in place (B).

Wall mounting (optional)

For added security, you can attach the Floor Stand to the wall. Secure the Wall Bracket to the wall 32″ (81 cm) from the floor, using the provided adhesive strips attached to the back of the bracket or drywall screws (not included) (A). Click the U-Clip around the Floor Stand pole into the Wall Bracket (B & C). To release the Floor Stand from the wall, squeeze the sides of the wall bracket and pull the pole away from the wall (D).

Appendix: Raising the height

If you have previously removed a segment and want to return the Floor Stand to full height, start by unplugging the Floor Stand from the outlet and pulling the camera away from the stand to detach it from the floor stand (A).
If your Floor Stand is secured to the wall, release the Floor Stand from the wall by squeezing the sides of the wall bracket and pulling the pole away from the wall (B).

Detach the cord management channels from the elbow piece by twisting and pulling the elbow piece and the cord management channels apart (A). Lay the stand on its side, unthread the cord from the base and pull the cord to create enough slack to make space for the previously removed segment (B).

Slide the cord cover up and out of the segment that was previously removed (C). Detach Segment 1 (top segment – marked with one dot) from the rest of the stand by pressing the button while pulling the segments apart (D).

Thread the cord through the channel on the back of the removed segment (A) and slide the cable cover back down on to the segment (B). Reconnect all of the segments while pulling the excess cable through the bottom of the stand (C).

Press the cord into the base of the stand (A). Place the stand upright and reattach the cord management channels to the elbow piece (B).
