Product Usage Instructions

Getting Started with DT Connect

1. Visit detectortesters-connect.com to create your account.
2. Sign into the Cloud Portal to register your device. Purchase a subscription for connected services. XTR2 comes with an extended free trial when registered.
3. Download the DT Connect app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Charging the Battery
The battery is charged by placing it into the charge cradle and connecting to a power source using the supplied mains adaptor.

Installing the Smoke Cartridge
Slide the smoke cartridge into the smoke generator housing following the guide rails after pairing with the DT Connect app.

Installing the Battery
Clip the battery into place securely.

Using the Cloud Portal
The Cloud Portal allows users with admin privileges to access and manage connected services.

GETTING STARTED WITH DT CONNECT

STEP 1
Visit https://detectortesters-connect.com to create your account.

STEP 2
Sign into the Cloud Portal to register your device. You will need to purchase a subscription to use connected services however your XTR2 comes with an extended free trial which starts from the moment you register your device. You will be informed via the portal and DT Connect app when your free trial subscription is about to expire.

STEP 3
Download the DT Connect app for your smartphone device from the App Store or Google Play Store. The following smartphones are supported:

• Apple iPhone with iOS 12 or later
• Android OS 8 or later

CHARGING THE BATTERY

The battery is charged by placing the battery pack into the charge cradle and connecting to a power source using the supplied mains adaptor.

Important: Testifire XTR2 needs to be paired to the user’s smartphone via the DT Connect app before first use.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLING THE GENERATOR
Take care not to touch exposed electrical contacts when installing product components. Ensure all components are securely fitted.

• Ensure unit is switched off and open the back cover
• Insert the generator firmly, engaging clips 1 and 2

INSTALLING THE SMOKE CARTRIDGE
Slide the smoke cartridge completely into the smoke generator housing following the guide rails.

Note: Do not insert the smoke cartridge until the generator has been fully fitted. In order to ensure maximum capacity from each new smoke cartridge, Testifire XTR2 must be paired with the DT Connect app.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY
Clip the battery into place.

USING THE CLOUD PORTAL

The Cloud Portal can be accessed by all users with admin privileges and enables users to:

• View, download and send test reports in PDF or CSV format
• Register new devices and purchase new subscriptions
• Register new technicians or back-office staff to your company
