GENERAL WARNINGS
RISK OF PHYSICAL INJURY!
- Do not use in the presence of small children or animals! Store out of reach of small children and animals!
- Never touch device parts during operation or before they have cooled down completely (approx. 45 minutes after switching off)!
DANGER OF AN ELECTRIC SHOCK!
This device contains electronic parts that are powered by a power source
(mains connection). Use only as described in the instructions. Failure to
follow the instructions may pose a RISK of ELECTRIC SHOCK!
- Only operate the device in a completely dry environment and do not touch the device with wet or damp body parts.
- Never bend, squeeze or tug power and connection cables, extensions and connectors. Protect cables from sharp edges and heat.
- Check the device, cables and connections for damage before use.
- Do not use the device if is damaged or contains damaged live parts! Damaged parts must be replaced immediately by an authorized service centre.
RISK OF GLARE!
- Ensure that people and animals do not look into the light. The high luminosity can cause glare to the eyes and afterimages. This impairment of vision can lead to accidents.
DANGER OF PROPERTY DAMAGE!
- Always place the device so that it cannot tip over, and ensure that it is stored in a safe place.
- Make sure that nobody can trip over the device’s connection cable. The device could be knocked over.
- The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage to property caused by improper or insufficiently safe installation!
- Only use the recommended power supply unit!
- The manufacturer accepts no liability for electrical damage caused by the use of an unsuitable power supply unit!
FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD!
- Keep children and animals away from the device! They could knock the device over.
- Make sure that nobody can trip over the connection cable. The device could be knocked over.
- Do not expose the device to high temperatures!
- Do not short-circuit the device or throw it into a fire! Excessive heat and improper handling can cause short circuits, fires and even explosions!
- Never cover the ventilation slots or cooling fins of the device during operation or until it has cooled down completely!
- Only use the recommended power supply unit!
IMPORTANT!
- Do not disassemble the device! In case of a defect, contact your dealer. The dealer will contact the service centre and send the device for repair if necessary.
- When the device is not in use, during longer interruptions to operation, and before maintenance and cleaning work, disconnect the power supply by pulling out the mains plug.
- Place the device so that it can be disconnected from the power supply at any time. The socket outlet should always be close to the device and easily accessible, as the plug on the mains cable is used to disconnect the device from the mains supply.
- To disconnect the device from the mains, always pull the mains plug and never the cable!
- Do not expose the device to excessive vibrations or heat!
PACKAGE CONTENTS (Fig. 1 + 3)
Softbox cover (A), mounting struts (4x) (B), daylight with power cable (C),
diffuser cloth (D), lamps (4x) (E), lamp stand (F)
NOTE:
The package contents refer to the standard version of the daylight lamp,
which is equipped with four lamp sockets, two rear light switches and a
softbox system.
Depending on the model/set purchased, the number of light sockets (1, 2, 4 or 5) and light switches (1, 2 or 3) may vary. Please refer to the diagrams in Fig. 2a.
Special accessories may also be included, for which separate operating instructions may apply.

ASSEMBLY (Fig. 3, I – VI)
STEP I
Insert the graduated ends (B1) of the mounting struts (B) into the openings (6) on the lamp housing (1).
STEP II

Place the softbox cover (A) with the round opening over the lamp housing (1) and the protruding mounting struts (B), working from behind.
NOTE:
When attaching the softbox cover, make sure that the side with the silver coating is facing inwards (see Fig. II). -
Slide the rounded ends (B2) of the mounting struts (B) into the corner tabs (X) on the softbox cover (A).
STEP III
Screw the lamps (E) into the lamp sockets (2). As soon as you feel a slight resistance, the lamp is screwed in tightly enough.
CAUTION! Screw the lamps in carefully and not too tightly. The lamp may be damaged if it is screwed in too tightly!
Only use lamps of the type specified in these operating instructions (see “Technical Data”)!
STEP IV
- Place the diffuser cloth (D) over the softbox, working from the front.
- Fasten the cloth to the side of the softbox using the hook-and-loop fastener (Y).
STEP V
- Loosen the wing screw (Z) on the stand.
- Pull the stand legs (T) out as far as they will go and tighten the wing screw again.
STEP VI

Turn the wing screw (9) on the stand connection anti- clockwise to loosen the screw far enough to expose the opening on the stand connection (10).
NOTE:
Do not unscrew the screw completely. -
Place the pre-mounted daylight lamp with the stand connection opening (10) onto the spigot adapter (S) on the lamp stand (F).

Hold the daylight lamp firmly and simultaneously turn the wing screw on the stand connection clockwise to secure the lamp to the stand.
POWER SUPPLY (FIG. 4)
1. Plug the mains plug (12) on the power cable (11) into the socket (100-240
V).
2. Tilt the light switch(es) (5) to the ‘I’ position to switch on the light.
2. Tilt the light switch(es) (5) to the ‘0’ position to switch off the light.
NOTE:
Depending on the model, the lighting is controlled via one or more light
switches. With several switches, the lamps can be switched separately or in
pairs. Please refer to the diagrams in Fig. 4a.
OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION / RE-PLACING THE FUSE (FIG. 4)
An overvoltage in the connected mains current can lead to a sudden failure of the device. This indicates that the overvoltage protection mechanism was activated by the builtin fuse. The fuse must then be replaced in order to continue using the device. Proceed as follows:

Turn the cover of the fuse compartment (8) labelled ‘FUSE’ in the direction of the arrow/counterclockwise and remove it.

Remove the fuse (P) (small glass tube) from the holder in the cover and replace it with a new fuse of the same type.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure to use the same type as stated on the fuse! -
Reinsert the cover with the new fuse into the fuse compartment and tighten it in the opposite direction of the arrow/clockwise.
WARRANTY
The regular warranty period is 2 years and begins on the day of purchase. To
benefit from an extended voluntary warranty period as stated on the gift box,
registration on our website is required.

DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging materials according to type. Information on proper
disposal can be obtained from your municipal waste disposal service or
environmental agency. Do not place electrical appliances in household waste!
According to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment and its transposition into national law, used electrical
equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally
sound manner.
