For washer 1. Read all instructions before using the appliance. 2. Do not wash or dry articles that have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or spotted with
gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, other flammable or explosive substances as they give off vapors that could ignite or explode. 3. Do not allow children to play on or in the appliance. Close supervision of children is necessary when the appliance is used near children. 4. Before the appliance is removed from service or discarded, remove the door to the washing or drying compartment. 5. Do not reach into the appliance if the drum is moving. 6. Do not install or store this appliance where it will be exposed to the weather. 7. Do not tamper with controls. 8. Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance or attempt any servicing unless specifically recommended in the user-maintenance instructions or in published user-repair instructions that you understand and have the skills to carry out. 9. Do not add gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances to the wash water. These substances give off vapors that could ignite or explode. 10. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for 2 weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot water system has not been used for such a period, before using a washer or combination washer- dryer, turn on all hot water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.

WARNING – Risk of Fire
· Clothes dryer installation must be performed by a qualified installer.
· Install the clothes dryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local codes.
· Do not install a clothes dryer with flexible plastic venting materials. If flexible metal (foil type) duct is installed, it must be of a specific type identified by the appliance manufacturer as suitable for use with clothes dryers. Flexible venting materials are known to collapse, be easily crushed, and trap lint. These conditions will obstruct clothes dryer airflow and increase the risk of fire.
· Do not install a booster fan in the exhaust duct. · To reduce the risk of severe injury or death, follow all installation
instructions. · Save these instructions.

Installation
Flooring For best performance, the Laundry Hub must be installed on a solid floor. Wood floors may need to be reinforced to minimise vibration and/or unbalanced loads. Carpeting and soft tile surfaces do not resist vibration well and may cause the Laundry Hub to move slightly during the spin cycle.
CAUTION Do NOT install the Laundry Hub on a platform or a poorly supported structure.
Water temperature Do not install the Laundry Hub in areas where water may freeze as the Laundry Hub always retains some water in its water valves, pumps, and/or hoses. Frozen water left in the connection parts may cause damage to belts, the pump, and other components of the Laundry Hub.
Washer requirements
Electrical supply and grounding · Use an individual branch circuit specific to the Laundry Hub.
To ensure proper grounding, the Laundry Hub comes with a power cord featuring a three-prong grounding plug for use in a properly installed and grounded outlet. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are not sure about the grounding. Do not modify the provided plug. If it does not fit the outlet, call a qualified electrician to install a suitable outlet.
WARNING · Do NOT use an extension cord. · Use only the power cord that comes with the Laundry Hub. · Do NOT connect the ground wire to plastic plumbing, gas lines, or hot water pipes. · Improperly connected grounding conductors may cause electric shock. · Do not remove or modify the grounding pin of power cord to reduce the risk of electric hazard. · Please use the additional grounding wire provided with this appliance if there is no hole for earth pin in

Installation check codes

Check code
No problems detected

Meaning Vent condition is good.

Vent is nearly clogged

Over 80 % of the vent is clogged. (This may lead to poor drying performance or cause malfunction)

Leave the dryer at room temperature

The internal temperature of the dryer is too low (below 32 °F (0 °C)) or too high (over 104 °F (40 °C)) and therefore vent blockage cannot be detected.

Items detected in Unit is detecting items inside the drum

the drum

or there is an error on the dry sensor.

Solution
1. Clean the lint filter. 2. Check your vent condition. (Refer to
the “Ducting requirements” section) * You must take measures (such as cleaning) through expert personnel.
Leave the dryer at room temperature (41~95 °F (5~35 °C)) for an hour and check again.
Remove items from the drum and check again. If the problem continues, contact a service center.

Initial setup
· When you turn on the Laundry Hub for the first time, the screen shows the initial setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it.
· Initial setup will not repeat after you’ve completed it. · Tap OK to skip to the next screen.
Run Calibration (For washer only) · You must proceed calibration before using the Laundry Hub washer. · Empty the drum, and then touch and hold to start calibration. · When calibration is complete, power turns off and then turns on automatically. · If you want to proceed calibration again, tap Options and select Calibration.
Laundry guidelines
STEP1Sort
Sort the laundry according to these criteria: · Care Label: Sort the laundry into cottons, mixed fibers, synthetics, silks, wools, and rayon. · Color: Separate whites from colors. · Size: Mixing different sized items together in the drum improves the washing performance. · Sensitivity: Wash delicate items separately. For pure, new woolen items, curtains, and silk items, check
the labels on the items. NOTE Make sure to check the care label on the clothing, and sort them accordingly before starting the wash.
STEP2Empty pockets
Empty all the pockets of your laundry items · Metallic objects such as coins, pins, and buckles on clothing may damage other laundry items as well as
the drum.
Turn clothing with buttons and embroideries inside out · If pants or jacket zippers are open while washing, the drum may be damaged. Zippers should be closed
and fixed with a string. · Clothing with long strings may become entangled with other clothes. Make sure to tie the strings
before starting the wash.

STEP3Use a laundry net
· Brassieres (machine washable) must be placed in a laundry net. Metal parts of the brassieres may break through and tear other laundry items.
· Small, light clothing such as socks, gloves, stockings, and handkerchiefs may become caught around the door. Place them inside a fine laundry net.
· Do not wash the laundry net by itself without other laundry. This may cause abnormal vibrations that could move the Laundry Hub and result in injury.
STEP4Determine the load capacity
Do not overload the washer. Overloading may cause the washer to not wash properly. NOTE
When washing bedding or bedding covers, the wash time may be lengthened or the spin efficiency may be reduced. For bedding or bedding covers, the recommended maximum spin level is Level 2 or Level 3, and the load capacity is 7 lb (3.0 kg) or less.
CAUTION · Unbalanced laundry may reduce the spinning performance. · Make sure the laundry is fully inserted in the drum and not caught in the door. · Do not slam the door. Close the door gently. Otherwise, the door may not be closed properly.
STEP5Apply a proper detergent type
The type of detergent depends on the type of fabric (cotton, synthetic, delicate items, wool), color, wash temperature, and degree of soiling. Make sure to use the laundry detergent that is designed for automatic washing machines.
NOTE · Follow the detergent manufacturer’s recommendations based on the weight of the laundry, the degree
of soiling, and the hardness of the water in your local area. If you are not sure about the water hardness, contact a local water authority. · Do not use detergent that tends to be hardened or solidified. This detergent may remain after the rinse cycle, blocking the drain outlet. CAUTION When washing wool using the Wool cycle, use a detergent dedicated to wool items. If used with the Wool cycle, powder detergent may remain on the laundry and discolor the laundry.

Use HE detergent only
For the best cleaning results, use a high efficiency detergent such as Tide HE, Wisk HE, Cheer HE or Gain HE. High efficiency detergents contain suds suppressors that reduce or eliminate suds. When fewer suds are produced, the load tumbles more efficiently and cleaning is maximized. ( Brand names are trademarks of their respective manufacturers.)
WARNING For best results, use HE detergents only. Do not use non-HE detergent, organic detergent, natural detergent or HE detergents with natural ingredients (such as vinegar, baking soda).

Drying guidelines
STEP1Sort
· Do not mix heavy and lightweight items together. · Wash and dry dark-colored items separately from light-colored items. · Unless recommended on the care label, do not dry woolens or fiberglass items. · Do not dry items soiled with oil, alcohol, gasoline, etc. · Avoid drying unwashed items. · Do not dry wet items that have not been fully spin-dried after washing. This could cause an odor inside
the dryer or cause the dryer to malfunction. · Using a laundry net is recommended for baby socks and other small, light items.
STEP2Empty pockets and turn them inside out
· Turn dark-colored clothes inside out before drying them. This will prevent fabric damage due to friction during the drying process and protect internal parts of the dryer from discoloration and damage.
· Turn the items with buttons or embroideries inside out before drying them. CAUTION
· Empty the pockets. Metallic objects such as coins, pins, and buckles on clothing may damage other laundry items as well as the drum.
· Remove any metallic objects attached to items, pull up zippers, and latch hooks before drying. Metallic objects attached to items may damage other items as well as the drum.
STEP3Check the lint filter
Ensure that the lint filter is installed correctly before putting items in the dryer. · Always clean the lint filter before drying. For more information on filter cleaning, see the “Lint filter”
section on page 80.
STEP4Determine the load capacity
Do not overload the dryer. Overloading reduces the tumbling action, resulting in uneven drying and wrinkling. · Put one wash load in the dryer at a time. · To improve drying efficiency for one or two items, add a dry towel to the load. · For best results, untangle items before inserting them into the dryer. Tangled items may degrade the
drying efficiency or cause the door to open. CAUTION Add or remove items into or from the dryer with the lint filter installed. If the filter is not in place, small items can fall into the filter slot and cause the dryer to malfunction.

Check the selected cycle again. · For a gas dryer, make sure the gas supply is on. · Clean the lint filter and exhaust duct. · The dryer may have moved into the cool-down phase of the cycle. · Turn off the Eco Dry option for the Normal or Time Dry cycles. When the
Eco Dry option is on, the dryer performs an air dry process in the beginning of the cycle to reduce energy consumption. The air dry process does not use heated air, so you may feel that the dryer is not being heated, but this is normal.

Problem

Action

Items are not dried.

Check all of the above. Additionally:
· Make sure the exhaust hood outside your home can open and close freely. · Check the exhaust system for lint buildup. Ducting should be inspected
and cleaned annually. · Use a 4″ rigid metal exhaust duct. · Do not overload. 1 wash load = 1 dryer load. · Dry heavy items and light weight items separately. · Large, bulky items, such as blankets or comforters, may require
repositioning to ensure even drying. · Make sure that your washer is draining properly and extracting adequate
water from the load. · The load may be too small to tumble properly. Add a few towels and
restart the dryer. · The load may be too large to tumble properly. Remove some items and
restart the dryer. · Clean the lint filter.

Items are not dried evenly.

· Seams, pockets, and other parts of clothing are harder to dry than others. This is normal.
· Sort heavy and light items separately.

The dryer is too loud.

· Look for coins, loose buttons, nails, and other objects and remove them immediately.
· Check the lint filter. Remove any items stuck inside the lint filter. · Make sure the dryer is level and standing firmly on the floor. · The dryer may hum due to air moving through the drum and fan. This is
normal. · It is normal to hear the dryer gas valve or heating element cycle on and off
during the drying cycle.

There is a smell coming from the dryer.

· The smell of paint, varnish, cleaning agents, and other household items could have circulated in the air and entered the dryer. If you notice such a smell, ventilate completely before using the dryer.
· If drying in an enclosed area, the dryer could cause the ambient temperature to rise. Accordingly, make sure to open a window and ventilate the area.
· Do not attempt to dry wet items after leaving them in the washer or dryer for a long time.

The dryer turns off before the items are dry.

· The load is too small. Throw in a few additional items like towels and try drying again.

Troubleshooting

Problem
The clothes have lint on them.
Water is not draining.
Items still wrinkled after Wrinkle Prevent (Wrinkle Away, Wrinkle Release). Water drips from the nozzle when the Steam cycles starts. Sprayed water is not visible during Steam cycles.
Extended time.

Action · Always make sure the lint filter is clean before putting items into the dryer.
When drying items that generate a large amount of lint, you may need to clean the lint filter in the middle of a cycle. · Some fabrics (such as white towels) causes more lint and should be dried separately from fabrics that lint attaches easily (such as black linen pants). · Check the inside of the pockets to make sure they are empty before drying. · Check the draining hose for twists and kinks. Straighten out the hose if it is twisted or kinked and securely connect it to the drain on the floor. · Check to see if the draining hose is frozen. If the hose is frozen, submerge it in warm water to allow the water inside the hose to melt and drain out. Reconnect the hose and check for proper draining.
· Small loads of 1 to 4 items work best. · Load fewer items. Load similar-type items. · Take out the items immediately after drying is complete.
· This is steam condensation. The dripping water will stop after a short time.
· Sprayed water is difficult to see when the door is closed.
· Sensor Dry automatically senses the moisture in the load and shuts the dryer off when the selected dryness level is reached. The drying time can change according to the type and amount of laundry. See the cycle chart for reference.

If the problem continues, contact a service center. The number of the service center is on the label attached to the product.
