Product Usage Instructions

Installation Instructions

WARNING: Improper installation can lead to equipment falling causing serious personal injury and damage to equipment. DO NOT substitute hardware. Use only hardware suppliedby the manufacturer.

Note: Specific to SSB-style and SSM-style interface bracket installation: All appropriate screws come pre-installed in the circled locations above. DO NOT attempt to substitute and USE ONLY this pre-installed hardware for SSB- styland SSM-style interface bracket installation.

Step 1: Screw thumb screws onto 10-24 x 5/8 Phillips pan head screws. DO NOT fully tighten thumb screws at this time.

Step 2: Turn the projector upside down on a flat surface.

Step 3: Place four nylon spacers over threaded inserts in the bottom of the projector.

Step 4: Place the interface bracket onto the spacers and the bottom of the projector, aligning the mounting holes in the bracket with the spacers and threaded inserts. Ensure that the triangle in the bracket points towards the front of the projector.

Step 5: Position M4 x 16mm mounting screws into the interface bracket, nylon spacers, and threaded inserts. Tighten all fasteners at this time, securing the bracket to the projector.

Note: Security screws can be substituted when mounting the interface bracket to the projector by using the parts and installation instructions in the All-Points Security Kit.

  • 1. Can I use my own hardware for installation?
    • No, it is important to use only the hardware supplied by the manufacturer to ensure proper installation and avoid any risks of equipment falling or damage.
  • 2. What should I do if I have an SLB/SSB interface bracket?
    • If you have an SLB/SSB interface bracket, follow Step 1 in the installation instructions. If you have an SLM/SSM bracket, proceed directly to Step 2.
  • 3. Can I substitute security screws for mounting?
    • Yes, you can substitute security screws for mounting the interface bracket to the projector by using the parts and installation instructions in the All-Points Security Kit.

INSTALLATION  INSTRUCTIONS

SSB-354, SSM-354, SLB-354, and SLM-354 Interface Brackets are designed for use with Chief® Series Projector Mounts. See the specific installation instructions provided with the mount for additional installation information.
Unpack cartons and verify the kit contents. If any listed parts are missing, immediately contact a Chief Customer Service representative.

  • WARNING : OVER-TIGHTENING OF SCREWS CAN DAMAGE PARTS AND CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! DO NOT over-tighten screws when installing interface brackets.
  • NOTE : Step 1 is only required when installing an SLB/SSB interface bracket. If an SLM/SSM bracket is being installed, proceed to step 2.
  1. Screw thumb screws onto 10-24 x 5/8″ Phillips pan head screws. DO NOT fully tighten thumb screws at this time.

  2. Turn the projector upside down on a flat surface.

  3. Place four nylon spacers over threaded inserts in the bottom of the projector.

  4. Place the interface bracket onto the spacers and bottom of the projector, aligning the mounting holes in the bracket with the spacers and threaded inserts and ensuring that the triangle in the bracket points towards the front of the projector.

  5. Position M4 x 16mm mounting screws into the interface bracket, nylon spacers, and the threaded inserts. Tighten all fasteners at this time, securing the bracket to the projector.

  • NOTE : Security screws can be substituted when mounting the Interface bracket to the projector by using the parts and installation instructions in the All-Points Security Kit.
