Product Usage Instructions
Replacing the EXTRET Switch
Warning: Before starting, make sure to disconnect the power.
The EXTRET switch can be easily replaced by following these steps:
Removing the Old Switch
- Take a flat blade screwdriver.
- Gently pry the switch out at the top and bottom using the screwdriver.
- Take your time and proceed slowly to avoid damaging the switch or surrounding components.
- The switch will gradually come out as you pry it.
Terminal Configuration
There are 3 rows of 2 terminals on the switch:
- The top and bottom terminals operate the Extend and Retract functions.
- The middle 2 terminals are for the power and negative wire of the 12-volt motor.
Replacing Terminals
- With the old switch removed, use the flat-blade screwdriver to remove one terminal at a time.
- Make sure to place each terminal in the same position on the new switch.
- Repeat this process until all 6 terminals are replaced.
Installing the New Switch
- Gently push the new switch into the housing until it locks in place.
- Make sure the switch is securely fitted.
Testing
Reconnect the power and test the switch operation to ensure it is
functioning correctly.

EXT\RET Switch lugs
The switch has top and bottom plastic lugs that hold it in place.
To remove the switch, take a flat blade screwdriver and gently pry the switch out at the top and the bottom. Take it slowly and the switch will gradually come out.
