OPERATION

On/Off

  1. Fit a new batter into the battery compartment to start the indicator directly.
  2. Press [ZION] keyfora short duration, the indicator will be switched on.
  3. Press and hold [ZION] key, the indicator will be switched off.

Zero setting

  1. lnABS Mode (ABS is showing on the screen),press [ZION] fora short duration, then the screen will show “0”oryou may return to the presetted value you once set.
  2. When the indicatoris turned from ABS mode to Relative mode, the screen will show zero and you may achieve relative measuring.
  3. When the indicatoris in”REL” mode, zero cannot be reset.
    Inch/metric
    Inch/metric switching can be achieved by pressing [In/mm] key fora short duration. If mm is displayed, the value is in metric. lfinch is displayed, the value is in inch.

Absolute Measuring and Relative Measuring
Changes between Absolute Measuring and Relative Measuring can be achieved by pressing [ABS] key fora short duration.When ABS is displayed the absolute value is on the screen. Press [ABS] key for a short duration, then ABS will disappear on the screen and the status will be changed to Relative measuring and the value on the screen will be set to “Zero”.You then may test the workpiece and read the deviation from “Zero” directly. Press the [ABS] key again, the status will be changed to Absolute Reading again and ABS will re- appear.

Change+/-

  • Press [In/mm] key until”-” code blinks. When”-” stops blinking and disappears, push the contact point, the value will be minus.
  • Press [In/mm] key until”+” code blinks When”+” stops blinking and disappears push the contact point, the value will be plus.

Preset a value

When theindicatoris in “ABS” and “metric” mode, press and hold [ABS] key for 2 seconds to get in to “Presetting a value” mode. T he number which is blinking is the one that can be changed. Press [In/ mm] for a short duration, then the blinking number can be changed from Oto 9.Press [ZION] key for a short duration, then the blinking number will move one position left. In this way all the number and +/can be set. When the value is set correctly, press[ABS] Key for a long duration to save the preset value and leave”Pre setting a value” mode. Now theindicator will get into ABS mode. Please note that now the “Zero Point l turns to the value “Presetting If [Zero/ON] key is pressed, the “Presetting value will be erased and the absolute Zero will be displayed as “0”. T hen the indicator will leave “Presetting avalue” mode. Please note that the “Presetting value cannot be higher than 99.

Run-out Measurement

  1.  Press [RAN] for a short time to enter the Max& Min Tracing Mode. You can see on the screen and the Max value of the whole measuring process will be recorded. Then, press the button [RAN] again, you can see ,on the screen and the Min value of the whole measuring process will be recorded. Press
    [RAN] once more, you can see on the screen and now the value on the screen is the D-value between the Max value and the Min value At last, once again press [RAN], the indicator will leave the Max &Min Tracing Mode.

  1. In the Max & Min Tracing Mode, press “zero/on” for a short time, zero can be resetted.

Tolerance measurement
Press [TOL] for a long time, the low limit of tolerance is set firstly You can see “Set” and on the screen and the number that you are changing is blinking. Press [in/mm] to adjust the number and press [Zero/on] button to choose which number to be adjusted. After setin,9 the low limit, press [TOL] again for a short time to set the high limit of tolerance and you can see is blinking in the meantime After setting the high limit of tolerance press [TOL] once more to save the whole tolerance and it will be back to the tolerance measurement Pay attention! If the setting value of high limit is lower than the low limit, E3 will show on the screen and you will be back to set the low limit.

Press [TOL] fora short time to enter tolerance measurement and “TOL” on the screen will also blink in the meantime. If the actual value is lower than thelow limit, on the screen will blink. If the actual value is higherthan the high limit, on the screen will blink.

And if the actual value is exact in the tolerance range, tolerance “OK” symbol on the screen will blink as well as the indicating light will be on. The light will keep on for about 6 seconds and then it will turn off to save battery.
In the tolerance measurement mode, press [TOL] key for a short time to exit and come back to normal measurement mode.

MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the indicator housing, the stem and the testing rod with soft oil-free cloth. If it’s very dirty.put some neutral cleaner on the cloth.
  • The hole that holds the indicator stem should be 8H6.
  • Clean the indicator after using.
  • The indicator should be taken apart by professionals onlyin case of serious damage.
  • Replace the battery when LCD turns dim.the figures are notclear orthe indicator cannot be turned on.
