FAQ
- What should I do if the LCD is not clear or the data is incorrect?
- Clean the measuring surfaces if they’re dirty, check and reset the preset data, and ensure the battery voltage is above 2.7v or replace the battery if needed.
- How can I conserve the micrometre’s battery life?
- To conserve battery, the micrometre will turn off automatically after five minutes of inactivity. You can manually turn off the micrometre by pressing the “ON/OFF” key.
- What are the key functions of the micrometre?
- The “ON/OFF SET” key is for power and data sets, the “ABS/INC UNIT” key switches between absolute and relative measurement and metric/inch conversion, and the “Zero” key resets the current position to “0”.

KEYS
- ON/OFF SET key: Power switch. DATA set.
- ABS/INC UNIT key: Absolute & relative measuring.Metric/inch conversion.

LGD DISPLAY
- “INC”: Relative measuring mode.
- “in”: Unit: inch.
- “mm”: Unit:metric.
OPERATION
Two ways of pressing the keys are used in the following illustrations:
- Press and release;
- Press and hold (2sec.or more)
ON/OFF key
- Press and release: Power on/off.
- Sets data automatically after battery reset.
ABS…mm/in key
- Press and release: Absolute and relative measuring mode conversion; “INC” sign displayed on LCD in relative measuring mode. No sign is displayed on the LCD in absolute measuring mode.
- Press and hold(2sec.or more): Metric/inch conversion; “in” displayed on LCD for inch, otherwise “mm”.
Zero key
- Press and release set the result to” at any position
POWER
- The cr2032 Lithium battery is inserted into the back of the instrument with a positive pole outward. Replace the battery when the display data is blurry or the data on LCD is flashing.
- If not used for five minutes the power will auto-off. The micrometre will turn on by pressing the “ON/OFF” key. Power on the micrometre by pressing the “ON/OFF, key to save the battery.

PRECAUTIONS
- Do not subject the instrument to blows or knocks. Do not drop it or apply excessive force.
- Do not disassemble the instrument.
- Do not press the keys with a pointed object.
- Do not use or store instruments under direct sunlight, or in an excessively hot or cold area.
- Do not use the instrument near strong magnetic fields and high voltages.
- Use a soft cloth or dry cotton to clean the instrument. Do not use organic solvents such as acetone or benzene.
- Wipe the measuring faces of the instrument before using it.
- Remove the battery if the instrument is not used for a long period.
