INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap and turn it to the side to
make room to install the strut tower brace. On some 2002 and later Focus there
is an EGR assembly that needs to be re-located for the brace to fit. It has
two 6mm bolts. It is located next to the brake reservoir. Relocate using one
bolt and the plastic nipple that sticks out off the fire wall as shown in the
pictures below.
STEP 2: Remove the two nuts on each strut tower which are closer to the
engine. It is not necessary to remove the third (outer) nut.
STEP 3: Set the strut tower brace on the car with the holes in the end
brackets over the studs on the strut tower.
STEP 4: Re-install the nuts on the strut tower, over the strut tower
brace brackets. Torque nuts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
STEP 5: Screw the cap back onto the brake fluid reservoir.
