SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
- Please read this operation manual carefully before use.
- The safety and operating instructions in this operation manual should be retained for future reference and must be followed at all times.
- Keep the product away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters or other appliances that produce heat.
- Do not expose the product to direct sunlight for longer periods. High temperatures will shorten the life of the product, destroy the battery and distort certain plastic parts.
- Do not expose the product to extreme cold as it may damage the internal circuit board.
- Avoid liquids getting into the product.
- Do not throw with or stamp on the product. This may damage the internal circuit board.
- Do not try to disassemble the product. This must only be done by a professional.
- Do not use the product during strenuous exercise. Too much sweat may damage the product.
- Do not use concentrated chemical products or detergent to clean the product.
- Keep the surface away from sharp things, as these may cause damage to the plastic parts.
If you do experience any problems with your product please contact the
retailer you purchased the headphones from. The retailer will provide you with
guidance and if that does not solve the problem the retailer will handle the
claim directly with KREAFUNK.
bGEM is a pair of wireless in-ear headphones with Bluetooth function. Each
earbud can be used individually or together for stereo sound and they both
come with a built-in microphone. The headphones support listening to music and
enables hands-free phone calls.

CHARGING THE HEADPHONES
Before using bGEM for the first time please fully charge both earbuds using the below instructions.
- Remove the USB protection cap from each earbud.
- Plug in the double micro USB charging connectors to the earbuds
- Then connect the charging cable to an AC adaptor or USB port on a computer.
The red LED light is on:
Headphones are charging.
The red LED light is off: Charging is finished.
It will take approximately 1.5 hours to finish the charging of the headphones.
When the headphones are low on power they will remind you every two minutes by
emitting “please charge” and the red LED light will start flashing instead of
the blue LED light. Please recharge the headphones.
GETTING STARTED
Wearing the headphones
a. Choose the suitable ear tip size for your own convenience.
b. Wear the L (left) and R (right) earbud accordingly, and adjust them both to
get the best sound experience.
USING ONE EARBUD
Each earbud can be worn individually and function as a Bluetooth headset for hands-free phone calls e.g. when driving.

Power on
Press the power button for about 3 seconds and release it when the blue LED light starts flashing, and the earbud prompts “power on”. -
Connecting bGEM to Bluetooth device
Set the earbud into connecting mode by pressing and holding down the power button until the red and blue light flashes alternately and the earbud promts “pairing”. Then power on the smartphone or any other Bluetooth device you want to connect bGEM to. Switch on the Bluetooth on your device and connect to either bGEM L or bGEM R. After a successful connection, the earbud prompts “source connected” and the blue LED light will flash twice every 5 seconds continuously. -
Power off
Press the power button for about 6 seconds and release it when the red LED light shows for 1-2 seconds, and the earbud prompts “power off”.
Remark:
- The earbud will automatically connect with the latest connected Bluetooth device.
- If disconnected from the device the earbud will automatically switch to standby mode, and the blue LED light flashes once every 2 seconds. After 5 minutes of standby time, they will power off automatically.
- The functions are the same for both bGEM L and bGEM R.
USING TWO EARBUDS
The following instructions are for the use of two earbuds simultaneously.
There are two methods for pairing the earbuds:
Method 1
- Power on both earbuds one by one. They will pair with each other automatically. After a successful pairing, the earbuds will prompt “Master” and “Slave” individually. The blue LED light will flash once every 2 seconds on the “Master” earbud, and twice every 5 seconds on the “Slave” earbud.
- Press the power button on the “Master” earbud for about 2 seconds to set it into connecting mode.
- Now switch on the Bluetooth on your device and connect to either bGEM L or bGEM R depending on which is the “Master”.
Method 2
- Power on one earbud and connect it to your device via Bluetooth. Then power on the other earbud and the two earbuds will pair automatically.
- The earbud that was connected to your device in the first step will be the “Master” earbud.
The blue LED light will flash once every 2 seconds on the “Master” earbud, and twice every 5 seconds on the “Slave” earbud.
Remarks:
After a successful pairing, the two earbuds (“Master” / ”Slave”) will remember
each other.
EARBUDS PAIRING / CONNECTING
Please follow the below steps if the two earbuds cannot connect with each other.
- Power on both earbuds and press each power button for 6 seconds to enter pairing mode (the red and blue LED light flashes quickly).
- Press the power button on just one of the earbuds for 2 seconds to enter search mode (the red and blue LED light flashes slowly). The two earbuds will connect automatically.
TOUCH BUTTON OPERATION FOR HANDS-FREE CALLS
Answer / end a phone call
When receiving a phone call, slightly press the touch button on “Master”
earbud once to answer.
Repeat this to end the phone call.
Reject a phone call
When receiving a phone call and you wish to reject it, press and hold the
touch button on “Master” earbud for about 2 seconds and release it when the
“Master” earbud prompts “dudu”.
Switch from headphones to smartphone
During a conversation, you can switch the sound from the headphones to your
smartphone.
Just slightly press the touch button on “Master” earbud twice.
TOUCH BUTTON OPERATION FOR PLAYBACK
Play / pause
When the headphones are connected to your device, slightly press either left
or right touch button twice to play or pause the music.
Next song / previous song
For next song: Press the touch button on right earbud once.
For previous song: Press the touch button on the left earbud once.
When only using one earbud a single press on the touch button will switch to
next song. You cannot switch to previous song when only using one earbud.
Volume up / down
To increase volume: Press and hold the touch button on the right earbud until
desired volume is reached.
To decrease volume: Press and hold the touch button on the left earbud until
desired volume is reached.
The above volume control functions only work when using both earbuds
simultaneously.
Battery display
When the headphones are connected to a iOS or Android device, the remaining
battery on the headphones will display on the device (next to the Bluetooth
icon in upper right corner). When the headphones are low on battery, the
battery symbol will turn red and the headphones prompt “please charge” every 2
minutes.

Factory Reset
To reset the headphones, press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds
when in charging mode and release it when the red and blue LED light flashes
simultaneously.
Remarks:
After a factory reset, the paired list of earbuds will be deleted. When you
power on the earbuds and connect them to a device again, they will enter
pairing mode automatically on your device.
FAQs
1. What does it mean when red the LED light flashes instead of blue LED?
The battery is low on power, and needs to be recharged.
2. Why is the red LED light not showing during charging?
a) Please make sure the charging device is connected correctly with the earbuds. b) The battery has run completely out of battery. Please charge the battery for 30 minutes, and then the red LED light will show.
3. Why can’t I hear the sound on the headphones?
a) Make sure the volume is not too low or muted. b) Make sure the headphones are connected correctly with the device. c) Make sure the distance between the headphones and the device is within the accessible Bluetooth range.
4. Why does the “play / pause” + “next / previous song” functions not work on the touch buttons when playing music?
Please check and make sure your Bluetooth device supports AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control profile).
