Product Usage Instructions

  • Cleaning/Maintenance
    • Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your Tower Fan:
    • Unplug your fan by grasping the plug and removing it from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
    • To replace the fuse on the plug, open the fuse cover located on the top of the plug by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover down towards the prongs. Ensure that the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove the fuse.
    • Remove the fuse carefully by using a small screwdriver to pry it out of the compartment by the metal ends of the fuse.
    • Place the plug on a solid, flat surface and insert a new 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into the fuse compartment. Use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment. Caution: Risk of fire. Replace the fuse only with a 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
    • Slide the fuse cover closed completely. If the fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure the fuse is secured in place completely by pressing down on the metal ends of the fuse.
    • Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. If the attachment plug is damaged, discard the product.
    • To clean the grill surface, lightly run a vacuum cleaner nozzle over it.
  • Fan Storage
    • When storing the Tower Fan, make sure to keep it in a dry place to prevent moisture damage.
  • Warranty Information
    • The Tower Fan comes with a 3-year limited warranty. For more detailed warranty information, please refer to the Owner’s Guide.

  • Can I replace the fuse myself?
    • Yes, you can replace the fuse yourself by following the user servicing instructions provided in the manual. Make sure to use a 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.

    • You can clean the grill surface by lightly running a vacuum cleaner nozzle over it.

  11. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
  12. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or come in contact with hot surfaces, or leave. exposed to high-traffic areas.
  13. Do not use outdoors.
  14. To disconnect, grip the plug and pull from the wall outlet. Never yank on the cord.
  15. Always use on a dry, level surface.
  16. Do not operate the fan until fully assembled with all parts properly in place.
  17. This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial or industrial applications.
  18. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to persons, do not use in the window.
  19. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
  20. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

FEATURES OPERATIONS

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Assembly Time: 10-15 minutes.
  • Tools Required: Phillips head screwdriver.
  • NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL CONTENTS FROM THE PACKAGE. PLEASE CHECK PACKAGING MATERIALS FOR PARTS THAT COULD BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE YOUR FAN. LOCATE THE BELOW PARTS FROM THE BOX TO PREPARE FOR ASSEMBLY:
    • Fan housing
    • 2 pedestal halves
    • 2 base halves
    • 8 M4x8mm screws (4 pcs for pedestal assembly and 4 pcs for base assembly)
    • Cord clip with 2 M4x12mm screws (affixed underneath the base inside the package box)
    • Remote Control (placed in a plastic bag inside the package box)

Follow the steps below to assemble the fan pedestal and base before operating your fan:

  1. To assemble the pedestal, simply snap the 2 pedestal halves together (Fig. 1).
  2. Pull the power cord through the assembled pedestal, making sure the wider end of the pedestal is facing toward the fan housing (Fig. 2).
  3. Align marking “A”, located at the bottom of the fan housing, with marking “A” on the top end of the pedestal. Insert the alignment post from the pedestal into the alignment hole on the fan housing for proper alignment (Fig. 3).
  4. Use 4 screws (M4x8mm) provided to attach the assembled pedestal to the bottom of the fan housing. Secure the screws with a screwdriver (Fig. 4).
  5. Snap the 2 base halves together by sliding the posts of one base half into the slots of the second base half (Fig. 5).
  6. Pull the power cord through the center hole of the assembled base (Fig. 6).
  7. Align marking “B”, located at the center hole of the assembled base, with marking “B” at the bottom end of the pedestal. Insert the alignment post from the pedestal into the alignment hole on the base for proper alignment (Fig. 7).
  8. Use 4 screws (M4x8mm) provided to attach the assembled base to the pedestal. Secure the screws with a screwdriver (Fig. 8).
  9. Wind the power cord underneath the base. Loosen the cord clip and place the cord inside the clip. Secure the cord clip onto the base bottom with the 2 screws (M4x12mm) provided (Fig. 9).
  10. Turn the fan right side up and place it on a dry and level surface before operating.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (SEE FIG.10, 11)

  • A. Power/Speed Settings Press = On, I, II, III, Off
  • B. Timer Control Press = Turns Off in 1, 2, 4, 8 hours
  • C. Oscillation Control Press = Oscillation On, Off
  • D. Natural Breeze, Sleep Breeze Modes Press = Natural Breeze, Sleep Breeze Natural Breeze Mode will cycle through the fan speed settings randomly. Sleep Breeze Mode will cycle through the fan speed settings in order.

REMOTE CONTROL

This fan includes a remote control requiring two (2) AAA batteries, 1.5V (not included).
Battery Replacement

  • a) Remove the battery cover from the remote control. b) Remove old batteries from the remote control.
  • c) Insert two new batteries, pressing them firmly into their slot.
  • d) Replace the battery cover.

NOTES:

  • Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.
  • Being careful not to bend or damage the contact spring, clean the battery contacts and devices’ contacts before installing the batteries.
  • Remove the batteries from the equipment when it is not being used for an extended period.
  • Remove the used batteries promptly.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Do not discard used batteries into household trash containers. Contact your local government for disposal or recycling practices in your area.

Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your Tower Fan. Please remember:

REPLACEABLE FUSE

  • If your (5 Amp, 125 Volt) replaceable fuse blows, please
  • visit our website at www.holmesproducts.com. for information on how to order a new fuse. Follow the below instructions to replace the fuse on the plug.

User Servicing Instructions

  1. Unplug your fan. Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
  2. Open the fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover down towards the prongs.
    • Note: Ensure that the fuse cover is completely open before attempting to remove the fuse.

  4. Place the plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert a new 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into the fuse compartment and use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment.
    • Caution: Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
  5. The slide fuse cover closed completely. If the fuse cover is difficult to close, make sure the fuse is secured in place completely by pressing down on the metal ends of the fuse.
  6. Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. Contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.

FAN CLEANING:

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
  • Clean the fan with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
  • Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing.
  • Do not use any of the following as a cleaner: gasoline, thinner, benzene.
  • You may also clean the front grill of the fan by lightly running a vacuum cleaner nozzle over the grill surface.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

  • Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if, in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively “JCS”) warrants that for three years from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period.
  • Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, a replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value.
  • This is your exclusive warranty.
  • Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.
  • This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of the initial retail purchase and is not transferable.
  • Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not have the right to alter, modify or in any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
  • This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?

  • JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied, or statutory warranty or condition.

  • Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.
