Installing the Printer onto the 1500-sheet Feeder
To prevent possible injury or damage to the printer, follow these steps:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect all cables from the rear of the printer.
- If there are optional feeders installed, make sure to separate the printer from them by ensuring that the tray-lock lever is in the unlocked position.
- Position the 1500-sheet feeder where the printer will be located.
- Using the handles on the sides of the printer, lift the printer onto the 1500-sheet feeder.
- Align the base of the printer holes with the mounting pins on the 1500-sheet feeder.

Follow these steps to adjust the paper size and load paper:
- If the 1500-sheet feeder is tray 5 for HP LaserJet 4250/4350 series, open the feeder door and remove the tray-number-indicator block. Turn it around and reinstall it so that the number 5 is visible through the slot in the door. If the feeder is any other tray, proceed to the next step.
- Move the tray-lock lever located along the top-left side of the tray into the locked position for each installed tray.
