WARNING: All packaging materials, such as tape, plastic, packaging locks, etc., are not part of the product and should be removed for the safety of your child.
Removing the Demo Label: Remove the demo label located on the bottom of the product when taking it out of the packaging.
Unfastening the Packaging Locks:
- Turn the packaging lock.
- Remove the packaging lock from the holder and dispose of it in the trash.
HOW TO INSERT THE BATTERIES?
- Turn off the toy.
- Open the battery compartment door at the bottom of the toy.
- Insert 2 new ‘AA’ (LR06) batteries according to the illustration in the battery compartment. For optimal performance, we recommend using alkaline batteries.
- Replace the door.
- Now the toy is ready for use.
Attention:
- Follow the safety warnings mentioned in this manual.
- Use only one type of batteries at a time.
- Never use new and old batteries together.
- Never use damaged batteries.
- Insert the batteries according to the poles (+,-) to prevent leakage.
Additional Battery Safety Tips:
- Do not short-circuit the power supply terminals.
- Remove empty or weak batteries from the toy.
- If the toy will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire or in nature.
- Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging them, and charge them outside of the toy.
- Charging or removing batteries should always be done under adult supervision.
Disposal and Environment Protection
- The toy must only be connected to a Class II device (identified by the following symbol: ) Environment:
- Dispose of batteries and the product properly. Do not throw them in regular household waste as they contain substances that can be harmful to the environment and health. Take the product and/or batteries to a designated collection point.
- Seek advice from local authorities for information on special locations for Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), where you can dispose of used batteries and/or products.
- The symbol indicates that the product was placed on the market after August 13, 2005.
- Help the environment by disposing of your product and/or batteries responsibly.

Press the volume key to choose between low, normal, or high volume. -

Progress Key
Progress Press the Progress Key to check your progress during certain activities. Note: This is only available for activities in the categories: Letters & Words, Numbers & Shapes, Logic & Games, and the Picture Dictionary activity in the ‘My Downloads’ category. -
USB Port
Connect the included USB cable to the USB port to link the laptop with a computer.
ACTIVITIES
Music Party Choose a melody you’d like to hear. After selecting a melody, you can listen to it. Use the mouse to see a different animal playing an instrument; the main instrument of the melody changes accordingly. Press the number keys to hear a different melody. Press the letter keys to add funny sounds to the melody. You can also download new songs via Explor@ Park™ (see pages 10-12).
My Downloads
This category includes 3 activities:
- Story Time During this activity, you can watch and listen to a short story. You can download new stories via Explor@ Park™ and choose an animal to be part of the story.
- E-card Select this activity to receive a special e-card message.
- Picture Dictionary Press the letter keys to learn letters and words. Afterward, a short animation related to the word is shown. Connect the laptop to Explor@ Park™ to download a new picture dictionary.
Web Friends
This is a fictional social network with five friendly animal friends to play with: Peter Puppy, Billie Bear, Kaatje Cow, Kitty Cat, and Eddie Duck. This category includes 3 activities:

One of the animal friends wants to show you a photo. Then, choose a photo you want to show to the animal friend. -

- Various shapes appear on the screen. Count the number of the requested shape and press the correct number key to answer.
- Addition
- Kaatje Koe and Peter Puppy are picking flowers. Count the number of flowers they have picked and press the correct number key to answer.
- More or Less?
- Kitty Kat and Peter Puppy are picking apples. Choose who has picked more or fewer apples. Use the mouse to make a selection and press the enter key to confirm your choice.
- Bigger or Smaller?
- Help Peter Puppy choose the object that is bigger or smaller. Use the mouse to make a selection and press the enter key to confirm your choice.
Logic & Games
This category includes four activities:
- Shadow Game
* Pay close attention and find the correct animal that matches the shadow. Use the mouse to make a selection and press the enter key to confirm your choice.
- Picture Puzzle
* Each picture is divided into two parts. Choose the correct part that completes the picture. Use the mouse to make a selection and press the enter key to confirm your choice.
- Which One is Different?
* Various objects appear on the screen. Look carefully and select the object that is different. Press the enter key to confirm your choice.
- My Aquarium
* This is a special bonus activity. Various sea creatures swim in the aquarium. Use the mouse to view different sea creatures and press the enter key to feed them.

Software Installation
Before the Junior Web Laptop can connect to the computer, the software application Explor@ Park™ needs to be installed on the computer. You can obtain this software from the VTech® website.
- Go to www.vtechnl.com/downloads to download the Explor@ Park™ software application. (Select the version suitable for the Junior Web Laptop).
- After downloading the software application, install it on your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Once the installation is complete, you can connect the Junior Web Laptop to the computer using the included USB cable. The USB port is located on the left side of the Junior Web Laptop.
Note:

If the power supply is interrupted during data transfer to the Junior Web Laptop, data loss may occur. Ensure that the batteries in the Junior Web Laptop have sufficient power before connecting it to the computer.

Do not disconnect the USB cable during data transfer from the computer to the Junior Web Laptop. This can cause errors or data loss.

If there are issues with downloading data, it is recommended to reset the Junior Web Laptop by holding down the “F” key and the “U” key and then pressing the Power button. Please note that this will erase all downloads and require creating a new user account when reconnecting the Junior Web Laptop to Explor@ Park™.
When the Junior Web Laptop is correctly connected to the computer, an image or will appear on the screen. Once Explor@ Park™ is successfully installed on the computer, it will automatically launch. Follow the on-screen instructions to download new content for the Junior Web Laptop.
Maintenance and Care
- Please clean the toy only with a damp cloth and not with a wet one.
- Do not place the toy in direct sunlight for an extended period or near any other heat source.
- If the toy will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the batteries.
- Avoid dropping the toy on hard surfaces and do not expose it to moisture or water.
- Do not clean the toy with corrosive cleaning agents.
CAUTION: If the Junior Web Laptop freezes or if the sound quality deteriorates:
- Turn off the toy and leave it for a few minutes.
- Turn it back on.
- If the problem persists, it may be caused by almost depleted batteries.
- Replace the old batteries with new ones and try again.
