FUNCTIONALITY

The functionality, specifications, and specific capabilities of this Docking Station vary, depending on whether it is connected to a macOS® or Windows® computer with a Thunderbolt™ 3 port or if is connected to a computer with a Multi-Function DisplayPort (MFDP) compatible USB Type-C® port. Please refer to your computer’s user’s manual or technical specifications to determine whether it supports one of these requirements or not.

Thunderbolt 3 Computer
When connected to a computer with a Thunderbolt™ 3 port, the Host and DisplayPort connections on the Docking Station support the following specifications and capabilities when connected using a Thunderbolt 3 cable (included).

  • Host: The Host port (7) supports an input bandwidth of up to 40Gbps (data+video) and up to 60W of USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) to the connected host computer, with 5VDC/3A, 9VDC/3A, 15VDC/3A, or 20VDC/3A of power.
  • DisplayPort 1.4: The two DisplayPort® ports (8 and 9) support 4-lane DisplayPort 1.4 operation, with a maximum single-display resolution of 8K@30Hz. They also support Multi-Stream Transport (MST) operation, with support for two monitors with maximum resolutions of 8K@30Hz+4K@30Hz or 4K@60Hz+4K@60Hz.
