Overview
Muzata CK17 is specially designed with LEFT & RIGHT threads to rotate the wire rope in the same direction, resolving the twisting problem when tightening. Made of high-quality T316 marine-grade stainless steel, it is ideal for indoor and outdoor projects as well as seaside applications. Suitable for 4″x4″ or larger wood posts, including level and angled sections.

Installation Steps
4.1 For level railing
Step 1 – Locate the hole position with drill guide ➒; drill through holes on
the intermediate posts with a 9/32″ drill bit ➓.
Step 2 – Locate the hole positions with drill guide ➒, and drill 2 5/32″ deep holes with a 3/16″ drill bit ➍ on all end posts.
Step 3 – Pull cable ➎ and level protector sleeves ➏ through all intermediate posts, then install these sleeves ➏.
Step 4 – Measure two end posts span and mark point B on the cable, cut the cable at point B with cutter ➐.
Step 5 – Mark and cut at C, which is 1 1/2″ away from point B with cable cutter ➐.
Step 6 – Put in cable, swage left-hand lag screw ➊ and right-hand lag screw ➋ twice with hydraulic crimper ➐.
Step 7 – Use bent wrench ➌ to tighten the left- hand lag screw ➊ and right-hand lag screw ➋ in the same direction on both end posts.
Step 8 – Follow the sequence to finish all runs.
4.2 For angle railing
Step 1 – Locate hole positions, and drill 30 degrees through holes with a
5/16″ drill bit ➓ on intermediate posts.
Step 2 – Locate hole positions with drill guide ➒, and drill 30 degrees 2 5/32″ deep holes with a 3/16″ drill bit ➍ on all end posts .
Step 3 – Pull cable ➎ and angle protector sleeves ➑through all intermediate posts, then install these sleeves ➑.
Step 4 – Measure the two end posts span and mark point B on the cable, cut the cable at B with cutter ➐.
Step 5 – Mark and cut at C, which is 2″ away from point B with cable cutter ➐.
Step 6 – Put in cable, swage left-hand lag screw ➊ and right-hand lag screw ➋ twice with hydraulic crimper ➐.
Step 7 – Use bent wrench ➌ to tighten the left-hand lag screw ➊ and right-hand lag screw ➋ in the same direction on both end posts.
Step 8 – Follow the sequence to finish all runs.

Tips
- Ensure that your posts and handrails are properly installed before your start cable installation.
- You may need to buy some spare materials in case some materials may not be reusable after operation mistakes.
- The recommended post spacing between two posts is 3ft-4ft, no more than 4ft.
- The overall height of the railing (including the handrail) should be equal to or higher than 36″ to meet the residential building codes of most states.
- 3″ cable spacing and 200 lbs tension on each cable line is recommended to pass the 4″ sphere test (required by some states). You can buy a tension gauge online or from local stores.
