Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

  1. Power On/ Off:
    • Remove the plastic battery isolator strip attached on Gets Tag before using. (Gets Tag will be powered on once the strip is removed, and there will be a ringing chime. If not paired within 5 minutes after being powered on, Gets Tag will be powered off automatically.)
    • Press the Gets Tag Function Button once to turn it on. There will be a ringing chime to indicate the Gets Tag is powered on.
    • To power off, hold the Function Button for at least three seconds. You will hear two beeps to indicate that your Gets Tag is powered off.

  2. Check For Updates:
    • To use the Apple Find My app to locatel Gets Tag the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS is recommended. The Find items app on Apple Watch requires the latest version of watchOS.

Add Your “Gets Tag “

  1. Start the App
    • Open Find My app on your supported iPhone* or iPad
    • Allow notifications from the app

  2. Connect your Gets Tag
    • Power on your Gets Tag
    • Tap “+” then “Add Other Item”
    • Once your Gets Tag is located, tap “Connect”
    • Choose a recognizable name and emoji for your Item Locator and tap “Continue”
    • Find My will ask for confirmation to add your Gets Tag to your Apple ID – tap “Continue”
    • Lap “Finish” and your Gets Tag will be set up and ready to be connected to whatever item you wish to locate, e.g., your keys

Locate Your Item

  1. Find Gets Tag when it is Nearby
    • Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch
    • Tap on your Gets Tag from the list
    • Tap “Play Sound” to make your Gets Tag beep
    • Tap “Stop Sound” to stop the beeps once you find your item

  2. Find Gets Tag’s Last Known Location
    • Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch
    • Tap on your Gets Tag from the list
    • Our Gets Tag’s last known location will appear on the map
    • To navigate to that last known location, tap “Directions” to open the Maps app

Find Item When Out of Range

  1. Enabling “Notify When Left Behind”
    • Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch
    • Tap on your Gets Tag from the list
    • Under “Notifications”, enable the “Notify When Left Behind” toggle
    • You will receive a notification when you leave your Gets Tag behind and it’s no longer in range of your device.

  2. Enabling “Notify When Found”
    • Under “Notifications”, enable the “Notify When Found” toggle
    • When your Gets Tag is seen by another Find My enabled device, you will receive a notification of its updated location
    • Note: “Notify When Found” can only be activated when your Gets Tag is out of range

How to deal with device loss

  1. Enabling lost Mode
    • Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch
    • Lap on your Gets Tag from the list
    • Under “Lost Mode”, tap “Enable”
    • A screen detailing Lost Mode will pop up, tap” Continue”
    • Enter your phone number or email address and tap “Next”
    • You may enter a message that will be shared with the person that finds your item
    • Tap “Activate” to enable “Lost Mode”
    • Note: When “Lost Mode” is enabled, “Notify When Found” is automatically enabled
    • Note: When “Lost Mode” is enabled, your Gets Tag is locked and cannot be paired to a new device

Resetting Your Gets Tag

  1. Remove the Gets Tag from Find My app
    • Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab
    • Tap on your Gets Tag from the list
    • Please ensure “Lost Mode” is disabled
    • Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap “Remove Item”
    • A summary will open, tap “Remove” to confirm

  2. Factory Reset Your Gets Tag:
    • After successfully removing the Gets Tag from Find My app, press the Gets Tag’s function button four times rapidly and then hold it a fifth time until you hear a ringring chime.
    • The Gets Tag is now reset and ready to be paired to a new Apple ID.

But Wait… There’s More

  1. Replace the Battery:
    • Use your fingernails at the small gap on the side of your Gets Tag to carefully open the case
    • Replace the battery with a new CR2032 battery placing it positive side up (text facing up)
    • Carefully align the top hole on both sides to close

  2. Unwanted Tracking Detection:
    • If any Find My network accessory separated from its owner is seen moving with you over time, you’ll be notified in one of two ways:
    (1) If you have an iPhone, iPad, or Find My will send a notification to your Apple device.
    This feature is available on iOS iPod touch, or iPadOS 14.5 or later.
    (2) If you don’t have an iOS device or smartphone, the owner’s locator will automatically make a sound after a period of time. These features were created specifically to discourage people with its owner for a penod of time will emit a from trying to track you without your knowledge.

Warning

CAUTION:
The battery used with Gets Tag should be kept away from small children.
If your kid swallows a battery, promptly see a doctor. In the U.S., have the doctor phone 202-625-3333 collect (if you want to know more about button battery, please call 1-800-222-122), or, in Canada, have the doctor call your provincial Poison Control Centre.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY IMFORMATION
Please retain this information for future reference. Batteries should be replaced by an adult.

CAUTION:

  • Always follow the instructions carefully. The device is only compatible with CR2032 battery. Use only battery specified and be sure to insert it correctly by matching + and – polarity markings.
  • Do not mix old battery and new battery.
  • Always remove exhausted or dead battery from this product. Battery leakage and corrosion can damage this product.
  • Remove battery during long periods of non-use.
  • Never short circuit the battery terminals.
  • Do not recharge, disassemble, hole, heat, burn or damage the battery.
  • Do not use sharp objects to remove the battery.
  • Do not dispose the battery in a fire. The battery may explode or leak.
  • Store the product in cool and dry environment.
  • The battery should be kept away from children. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
