FAQs
I just bought the scale and paired it with my phone. It has my data, why won’t it display body fat and other measurements besides weight?
I just purchased this and I’m having the same issue with displaying my measurements other than weight and BMI. However, I created a profile for my mom and all her measurements showed up right away.
How in the world would this scale be able to tell you an accurate BMI?
BMI is nothing more than a height to weight ratio. A bodybuilder who is 6 feet tall, weighs 250 lb, and has a 4% body fat would still fall into the obese category. Body fat percentage is a better individual indicator of body composition. BMI (body mass index) is an effective tool for large population evaluations. The bodybuilder example is rare. 99% of people falling into the obese or overweight categories would also have high body fat percentages.
How do you get bluetooth to turn on on the scale itself? The bluetooth symbol is not showing.
Depends on whether you have android or IOS software. Both location and Bluetooth need to be turned on for Android 6.0 and later. Download the VeSyncFit app, you should see a plus symbol in the top right corner, press this and then step on the scale with bare feet. Add the device name that appears, keep standing on the scale for 5-10 seconds. Pairing is successful when your final weight appears on the VeSyncFit app. Wait for the zeros to stop flashing before getting off the scale.
How do you switch from lb to kg? Button on the back?
Yes, during the initial setup the units are selected…. either Kg or Lb can be selected for each tracked individual as well as the scale in general… the setting is done by a bluetooth connected app (I use an IOS iPhone)
Does it come with batteries?

Does it work on carpet? I’d prefer to weigh myself first thing in the morning, but my room is carpeted.
It is not suggested that you weigh yourself right when you wake up. The best time to check accurate measurements of weight as well as getting accurate readings of the other biometrics that this type of scale offers is after you relieve yourself. Typically I tell patients to use this type of scale after you have relieved yourself, properly stretched or walked around for a bit, after you have showed and without any garments on. I understand if you are only using this scale for weight measurements however, you will get a more accurate reading of weight after you have done what I suggest. Weighing yourself on carpet had actually never been suggested and in all of my studies, scales throughout all of history will only give an accurate reading on a solid sturdy surface.
How do I sync or use this for samsung health?
To sync this smart scale with your Samsung Health, you need to connect it to the VeSync app first, and then click More >Third Party Services, select “Samsung Health” to connect.
How does this scale get all those numbers like bmi etc? just by doing the math based on your weight, or are there any other factors or sensors?
A weak current is emitted from the electrode sheet, and an electrical impedance value is obtained through the principle that the muscle is easy to conduct electricity and the fat is not conductive, and then the electrical impedance value is combined with the height and weight etc. to calculate the body fat percentage. Our algorithm has been verified by clinical measurement with many medical institutions, and has been approved by the FDA.
how accurate is the fat per percentage? What is the +/- of scale/bmi reading?

No monthly and the app is easy to install. I really like it.
Can anybody just step on the scale and get an accurate weight without having to download an app?

There are a few things that not clear about adding mem’s to the App: Does each member need to dl the app? Or does the 1 phone get all updates?
One phone can add all the members! Go to the “My Account” tab and “Add a Member” is an option just under your email/profile information!
Will this work with an i phone 7?
Yes, it will work with and IPhone!
Is it easy to get on & off, I got balance issues?
Yes. You may want to hold on to something while you step on, but once you are on it, it is balanced
What’s the difference between Bluetooth and smart options?
There is not much difference in functionality between the Bluetooth and Smart Scale on this listing. Regarding the difference between the Bluetooth Model ESF14 and Smart Model ESF-551, ESF-551 has an offline data upload function, namely, when you weigh without open the app device page, the weight data will be stored in the scale and will be synced to the app when you open the APP device page next time. As for ESF 14, you need to open the app device page every time when you weigh, it won’t store the data on the scale.
