Set-Up
The included CR2032 Lithium batteries are preinstalled in the scale. Open the battery compartment cover located on the backside of the scale and remove the plastic strip from the battery compartment to allow the batteries to power the device. Reapply the battery compartment cover.
NOTE: The positive side of the battery should be facing up.
Operation

Place the scale on a flat, dry surface.

Press power to turn on the scale.

Press UNIT to select your desired measuring unit. Then wait until the screen displays zero before measuring.
NOTE: If the screen does not display zero automatically, press the ‘power’ button to auto-adjust to zero. -
Gently place your desired object in the center of the weighing platform. The LCD display will automatically display the object’s weight.

Hold down power for 2 seconds to turn off the scale.
NOTE: The scale with automatically turn off after one minute of inactivity.
Tare Function
The tare function allows you to measure objects in a container without the having to include the container’s weight in the final measurement.
- Place the scale on a flat, dry surface.
- Power on the scale and wait for the display to read zero.
- Place an empty container on the scale and press power button. The display will now show zero.
- Place objects in the container, and the display will show the net weight of the items.
Take all items off the scale; the display will show the weight of the container with a negative weight.
- When this happens, press power button and the display will clear to zero. You are now ready to weight another object
- If you are finished using the scale you can turn off the scale by holding down power button or allow the scale to automatically turn off.
Maintenance
Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the surface of the scale, followed by a dry soft cloth to wipe away the remaining moisture. You can also use a dry soft cloth to wipe off any dust that may be on the scale. Be sure not to wash the device or immerse it in water or any other liquids.

Etekcity warrants all products to be of the highest quality in material, craftsmanship and service for a minimum of 1 year, effective from the date of purchase. Under the limited warranty, Etekcity will replace or refund any product found to be defective due to manufacturer flaws based on eligibility only within the first 30 days of purchase. This warranty is non-transferrable. Etekcity is not responsible in any way for any damages, losses or inconveniences caused by equipment failure or by user negligence, abuse, or use noncompliant with the user manual or any additional safety, use, or warnings included in the product packaging and manual.
This warranty does not apply to the following:
Damage due to abuse, accident, alteration, misuse, tampering or vandalism.
Improper or inadequate maintenance.
Damage in return transit.
Unsupervised use by children under 18 years of age.
Etekcity and its subsidiaries assume no liability for damage caused by the use of the product other than for its intended use or as instructed in the user manual. Some states do not allow this exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential losses so the foregoing disclaimer may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
ALL EXPRESSED AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ARE LIMITED TO THE PERIOD OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY.
Should your product prove defective within the specified warranty period, please return the defective unit in its original packaging with an original copy of the invoice and your order confirmation number.

Can we control the amount of time before it turns of?
No, you can’t.
Is the top surface covered by a flat/solid piece of glass, or is there a circular cutout for the display?
A solid, flat surface covers the entire area. The display is not cut out in any way. The display is flush with the surface, to put it another way.
Are the unit and tare buttons covered by glass?
No, there is no glass covering the unit and tare buttons. They are a piece of the black plastic and are simple to maintain clean by wiping them off.
Does this scale specifically link to Vitamix blenders as does the Vitamix scale?
No.
Can I weigh hot cups or plates?
As the top is made of glass, it is not recommended to place hot cups or plates.
Can scale be stored sideways?
Yes, it is easy very thin.
Does it measure to the tenths or just even?
It measures to the tenths.
Is there a backlight to the LCD or is it just black?
It has a backlight.
Does it use batteries?
Yes, it takes 2 CR2032 batteries.
Does it convert to grams?
Yes, it does with the push of a button.
Does it come with its own bowl?
No, it doesn’t come with its own bowl.
How do I turn it on?
You could press the power/tare button to turn on the scale.
Can this scale be calibrated?
It self-adjusts.
How easy is it to change the batteries?
Very simply take off the back cover and insert two CR 2032 batteries.
