Waterdrop WD-G2MRO Multiple Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filter

Installation Instructions

CID Multiple Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filter (MRO)

Replacement for the following water filtration system:

Waterdrop G2 Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System

Filter Use: Up to 24 months or 2,200 gallons, whichever comes first may vary depending on water conditions.

Note: This filter should not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

Getting Started:

With the leak-free design, filters could be replaced directly without cutting off power and water. No tool is required.

  1. Before removing the filter, please turn off the faucet first and wait for 30s to fully release the internal pressure of the RO machine, which makes the filter easier to remove and install.
  2. Twist off the filter counterclockwise **(Figure 1 );

  1. Remove the shrink wrap and protective cap from the new filter;
  2. Insert the filter into the hole, aligning the arrow with the empty circle on the housing **(Figure 2);

  1. Apply slight forward pressure to the filter and rotate it a 1/4 turn clockwise, until the arrow is aligned with the solid circle on the housing. You may hear a click when the filter is fitted properly **(Figure 3);

  1. Reset the filter with reference to the following steps:

  2. Press the filter life reset indicator for 5 seconds (Figure 4). Release the indicator when you hear a beep. Now filters are ready to be reset;

  3. Press the reset indicator and choose the MRO filter (there is no need to choose if only one filter expired). The MRO filter life indicator will flash when it is selected;

  4. Press the reset indicator for 5 seconds again. The reset is completed when you hear a beep. The MRO filter life indicator will be permanent blue.
    NOTE: Please do NOT wait longer than 3 seconds between each steps, otherwise the unit may exit the reset mode before it’s complete.

  5. Turn on the RO faucet to flush for 30 minutes, until the filtering indicator is permanent blue.

Storage and maintenance

  • Please replace the filter regularly according to the filter life indicator reminder.
  • Stored filters do not expire. Keep your unused filters in a cool, dark, and dry place until you need them.
  • The water source should meet the requirements of municipal tap water.
  • It is recommended to avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight.

WARNING:

  • To reduce the risk of property damage due to water leakage, this filter MUST be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and instructions.
  • Failure to follow instructions and operating specifications will void your warranty. Furthermore, the manufacturer shall not be liable for damage resulting from the misuse of the product.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Why does filtered water taste weird?

A: 1) The filter is about to expire. Check the indicator reminder to confirm if it is about to expire. If so, replace it; 2) The system hasn't been used for a long time. Turn on the RO faucet, and allow it to flush for a while before drinking.

Q: What will happen if I do not change my filter when the filter life indicator light turns red?

A: Overused filters will degrade the filtration performance, causing contaminants to leak back into the water and affecting your health. It's recommended to replace the filter if the filter life indicator light turns red.

Q: Why is the filter life indicator still red after changing the filter?

A: You may have forgotten to reset the filter life indicator. Please reset the filter according to relevant installation instructions.
