About this Instruction Manual
These operating instructions are to be considered a component of the device.
Please read the safety instructions and the operating instructions carefully
before use. Keep these instructions for renewed use at a later date. When the
device is sold or given to someone else, the instruction manual must be
provided to the new owner/ user of the product.
General Warnings
RISK of bodily injury!
Children should only use the device under adult supervision.
Keep packaging material, like plastic bags and rubber bands, out of the reach
of children, as these materials pose a choking hazard.
RISK OF FIRE/EXPLOSION!
Do not allow the Smartphone used with the adapter to be exposed to direct
sunlight through the observation optic (e.g. telescope or spotting scope)! The
light concentration causes a build up of heat that can result in fire or
explosion of the Smartphone. Irreparable damages to the Smartphone are the
consequence.
RISK of property damage!
Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a defect, please contact your
dealer. The dealer will contact the Service Centre and can send the device in
to be repaired, if necessary.
BRESSER GmbH assumes no liability for damages resulting from improper handling
of the device itself or of other alternative devices (optics, phones, etc.)
Intended Use
This product is intended only for private use. It was developed for the
increased display of objects in nature or astronomical objects, with the aid
of an observation optic (telescope, spotting scope, etc.) and a Smartphone.
By using this adapter, you are able to capture and save images and videos
directly thorough an optic (telescope, spotting scope, or the like) using your
Smartphone.

Design of the device
A: Adapter plate (A1) with suction cups (A2) and safety strap (A3) to fix the
Smartphone
B: Eyepiece clamp with universal size adjustment
C: Adjustment ring for the eyepiece clamp
D: Adapter opening
E: Height adjustment wheel for the adapter plate
Mounting the adapter
Note: Always make sure that the adapter is securely fastened to the eyepiece. The adapter must be connected absolutely wobbly-free to the used optics.
- Open the eyepiece clamp by turning the adjusting ring until it stops.
- Put the eyepiece clamp over the eyepiece and close it by turning the adjusting ring until the adapter is firmly seated on the eyepiece.
Use with a smartphone
Note: Before attaching the smartphone to the adapter, remove any protective covers as well as dust and grease stains from the housing.
- Focus the observation object so that it is centered and sharp when looking through the eyepiece.
- Place the smartphone with the front camera lens cente- red over the adapter opening.
- Firmly press the smartphone housing onto the suction cups on the mounting plate.
- Tighten the securing strap around the smartphone and the mounting plate.
- Turn on the smartphone and start the camera app. The picture can be seen through the optics in the display.
- If necessary, readjust the focus by adjusting the focus of the optics and the height adjustment wheel of the adapter plate.
- Use the zoom function of the smartphone to display the observation object in full format on the display.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their type, such as
paper or cardboard.
Contact your local waste-disposal service or environmental authority for
information on the proper disposal.
