Charging
- When charging, the LED indicator will light up in red, and the indicator light goes out after the charging is completed(As shown below). Please charge it before using it for the first time.
- Please use 5V/1A±0.5A qualified charger to charge the device. Unstable current may damage the equipment.
- Please keep charging at least once every 2 months If the product is not used for a long time.
Installation & Disassembly
Speaker Installation

Open the inner lining of the helmet ear position and fix the Velcro to the ring position.

Fit the headset to the Velcro and fix it to the ring position. (The short-line speaker is on the left).

Stick the microphone and Velcro on the left side of the helmet at a suitable position, aim the microphone at the mouth position, and arrange the wires to the inner lining.
Remark: the microphone should be closed to and aim at the mouth as possible. The speakers are as close to ears as possible. If installation position of the speaker is too deep so that the speaker is too far away from the ear, the sponge in accessory may be used to jack up.
Fixed by clamp

Assemble the clamp and metal clip.

Install the base in a suitable position.

Install the host: Insert the raised buckle at the bottom of the host into the groove of the base, then press the host into the base so that the buckle on the top of the base buckles into the groove on the top of the host.

Insert the microphone and earphone connection line, installation complete.
Disassembly of the Device

Pull out the headset plug.

Press the upper clamp buckle and move the device upward to remove it.

Power on\off
Power on: Press and hold the intercom button and multi-function button at
the same time for about 3 seconds, until the voice prompt “Welcome to
FODSPORTS Bluetooth communication system.
Power off: Press and hold the intercom button and multi-function button at the same time for about 3 seconds, until the voice prompt “Power off”
Battery detection & low battery automatic reminder function
- FX8 AIR has the power detection function. When the device is turned on, short press the
- “Previous” button and the “Next” button at the same time.
- Power over 90%, the voice will prompt: “beep…beep…beep”.
- Power over 50%, the voice will prompt: “beep…beep “.
- Power lower than 50%, the voice will prompt:” beep…”.
Low battery reminder
When the battery level is less than 20%, you will hear a tone: power lower than 20%, please charge.
When the battery level is lower than 10%, the red light of the multi-function button will flash and you will hear a tone:power lower than 10%, it will shut down, please charge it immediately.
Cellphone
- Answering Call: Short press multi-Function button.
- Hangup Call: Call ended, short press multi-Function button.
- Refuse Call: Long press multi-Function button button for 2 seconds.
- Redial: Short press multi-Function button twice.
- Volume Up: Rotate the multi-Function button forward.
- Volume Down: Rotate the multi-Function button Backward.
- Switch manual/automatic answering calls: While in standby, press and hold the “Intercom” button and
- “Previous” “Next” button and at the same time for 5 seconds. (Default: answer incoming calls automatically)
- “Automatic answering calls : the voice prompt “beep…beep”
- *Manual answering calls : the voice prompt “beep…”
The headset is connected to 2 mobile phones at the same time
- Answer an incoming call: When talking with the first mobile phone, if there is an incoming call from the second mobile phone, quickly press the multi-function button once to end the first mobile phone, and press the multi-function button again to answer the second mobile phone.
- Hangup call: To end the call, short press the multi-function button.
- Reject incoming call: When there is an incoming call from the second mobile phone during a call, press and hold the multi-function button for 2 seconds to reject the second call.

Open mobile phone voice input function automatically
After FX8 AIR is connected to the cellphone, short press the “Mode” button to
activate the voice control function. Requires cellphone with voice control
function.
“Cellphone must have voice commend function.”
Music Function
- Play: Short press the multi-function button.
- Pause: Short press the multi-function button.
- Volume Up: Rotate the multi-Function button forward.
- Volume Down: Rotate the multi-Function button Backward.
- Play Previous: Short press Previous button.
- Play Next: Short press Next button.
EQ Sound Selection
Under the music playing state, short press the Mode button EQ sound effect selection button, you can switch the sound effect when listening to different types of songs.
- HiFi bass: Corresponding voice: Bass boost
- Popular Golden Classic: Corresponding voice: Midrange boost
- Pure human voice: Corresponding voice: Treble boost
APTX HD Audio
In the cellphone song playback format settings, select the APTX format, and
you can enjoy real HiFi sound effects when the song is played (the mobile
phone must support APTX format playback) Intercom Function
Intercom Function
- Switch Intercom On: short press Intercom button.
- Switch Intercom Off: short press Intercom button.
- Volume Up: Rotate the multi-Function button forward.
- Volume Down: Rotate the multi-Function button Backward.
FM Function
- FM ON: Long press Next button for 3 seconds.
- FM OFF: Long press Next button for 3 seconds.
- Volume Up: Rotate the multi-Function button forward.
- Volume Down: Rotate the multi-Function button Backward,
- Search channels: short press Previous / Next button.
Memory Clear
Clear pairing records: FX8 AIR can manually clear pairing records with other devices. In the standby state of the device, press the “multi-function” button and the “Previous song” button at the same time for about 5 seconds, the red and blue indicator lights flash at the same time, and the clearing of the pairing record is completed. (The voice prompt “beep…beep…beep”)
Device pairing and connection
- Pairing Mode
- Passive search mode
When device is on, press and hold the multi-function button for about 6 seconds, the red and blue indicator lights flash alternately quickly, enter the pairing search mode, and the voice prompt “beep…beep”. The passive pairing mode is used to connect to Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones and GPS.
Active search mode
When device is on, press and hold the intercom button for about 6 seconds, the red and blue indicator lights flash alternately slowly, enter the active search mode, and the voice prompt “beep…”. Active search mode is used for the intercom function connection between
(A) FX8 AIR connect with (B) FX8 AIR
A FX8 AIR is on positive search mode(refer to 5.1.2), B M1S-PLUS is on passive search mode(refer to 5.1.1), A and B FX8 AIR change from flashing red and blue lights alternately to multi-Function and intercom buttons flashing blue lights at the same time, connect successfully.
Pairing With Cellphone
STEP1. When device is on, long press multi-Function button, red and blue
light flash quickly, entering passive pairing mode. (refer to 5.1.1)
STEP2. Turn on cellphone Bluetooth, select FODSPORTS FX8 AIR, the pairing
is complete. Voice message will also say “Device Connected”.
Connect with two phones
Step 1: Connect to the first phone(refer to 5.3)
Step 2: Long press the multi-function button, FX8 AIR enters the passive
search mode again and connects with the second mobile phone (refer to 5.3).
Notice: FX8 AIR can connect to 2 phones, but only support one phone for audio input
Wire Connecting
FX8 AIR can be connected to audio output devices such as radio, GPS navigator,
speedometer, music player, etc. through the standard 2.5 to 3.5mm AUX audio
cable.
You need to purchase a cable if you need a wired connection for Walkie-talkie equipment.
Note: The wired audio cable function can only be used in standby mode.
pairing connection
Occasions: Rider A connect with Passenger B for intercom. Then A connect with
two bluetooth devices and one wired equipment and B connect with one bluetooth
device(as shown below).
Step 1: A FX8 AIR connect with B FX8 AIR(refer to 5.2)
Step 2: Short press one time A or B intercom button to disconnet intercom
Step 3: A connect with 2 phones (refer to 5.4)
Step 4: A use 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm AUX audio line to connect with one audio
device
Step 5: B connect with one phone(bluetooth device)Paired connection(refer
to 5.3)
Step 6: Short press intercome button of A or B for connection.
Notice: If A or B need to use the audio function of phone(bluetooth device), you need to disconnect the intercom.
Remark 2: Intercom is interrupted and reconnected:
In the 2 people intercom state, if there is a mobile phone call, the intercom
will be automatically disconnected, and the intercom state will be
automatically connected after the call is over. If it is interrupted due to
distance or poor signal, please click the intercom button to return to the
intercom state
Memory Connection Function
FX8 AIR will remember the paired device, when you use it again, please follow
the steps below:
STEP1. Switch off all 2 units(A,B) and all Bluetooth devices connected to the headset such as cellphone and GPS.
It will affect the pairing)
STEP2. Switch on Unit A and B, press Unit A intercom button, A and B are
connected successfully..
STEP3. After all 2 units reconnected, switch on original connected
Bluetooth devices such as cellphone and GPS.
FX8 AIR can connect up to 2 devices.

Q&A Warning
Q1: No sounds from one or two side speaker.
A1: Check device plug, needs to firmly connected.
Q2: Can it be recharged from bike USB charger while riding?
A2: 1.Not recommended, unstable power source will cause damage on internal circuit, may cause unable to recharge/can't fully charged/can't switch on. 2. Power bank will be good.
Q3: When using radio, not transmission or continuous transmission.
A3: Check 2.5mm pin, has to insert firmly. The pin equipped with waterproof aprons, user might think its already plugged
Q4: New device can't switch on.
A4: Recharged at least 30 minutes before switch use.

Sound Volume Warning Long period or too loud may hurt hearing ability.
Disassemble or Modification
The FX8 AIR is precisely made in factory. Any disassemble or modification may
damage the device. please do not tear any of the safety regulation and serial
sticker from the device that will void the warranty. Please contact us
directly if needed.
