IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To prevent injury and property damage, please read this manual carefully and avoid misuse.
If the appliance is not used in the right way or the contents of this manual are ignored, serious damage and injury may result. Please pay attention to the following instructions.

Warnings

  1. To avoid fire hazards and injury, only use the appliance at 120V ~ and do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. (Do not attempt to fix the power cord yourself, twist it, put it in a hot environment, or pull or wrap the power cord as this may damage the power cord and cause injury.)

  2. Read all instructions.

  3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

  4. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord or plugs in water or other liquid.

  5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

  6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

  16. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug In anyway.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

    The light indicates that the appliance is on. When the light is off, this indicates the appliance is off.

  3. Working indicator light
    The light indicates that the appliance is heating. When the light is off, the appliance has stopped heating. The appliance functions in this on/off cycle.

Note: After use, the grill plate will retain heat. Please allow it to cool down before cleaning to prevent burns.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Before the first use, wipe and clean the appliance using a soft, dry cloth.
  2. The baking trays are not detachable. You can heat the appliance for 5-10 minutes to remove unpleasant doors and sterilize the trays. Wipe and clean the appliance after it has cooled down completely.
  3. When operating the appliance, keep it at a distance of over 20cm from walls and the edge of the surface on which it is placed.
  4. ln the process of heating, steam or some smells may be emitted. A ticking sound after the expansion of the heating tube is normal and not a sign of product failure. The smells emitted by the appliance after heating will gradually disappear with use.
  5. It is normal for the outer shell of the appliance to become hot during the heating process. Because the appliance is baked with double-sided heating, so the surface will be relatively hot.
  6. The appliance is heated at a constant temperature that cannot be adjusted during use. You can place your sandwich in the appliance first and then plug it in to start toasting your sandwich.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place the dry and clean appliance on a flat surface.
  2. The appliance will start heating ‘(pre-heating) as soon as the power plug is inserted into the power socket.
  3. Close the appliance and plug in the power cord, the power indicator light is on indicating the appliance is heating up.
  4. To prepare grilled meat/sandwiches/ingredients: use the preheating process (about 2 and a half minutes) to prepare the ingredients.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Always unplug the Sandwich Maker and allow it to cool before cleaning. The unit is easier to clean when it is slightly warm. There is no need to disassemble it for cleaning. Never immerse the appliance in water or place it in dishwasher.
  2. Wipe cooking plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue. For sticky food residue, squeeze some warm water mixed with detergent over the food residue then clean with a non abrasive plastic scouring pad or place wet kitchen paper over the cooking plate to moisten the food residue.
  3. Do not use anything abrasive cleaner which can scratch or damage the non-stick coating.
  4. Do not use metal utensils to remove food residue, they will damage the non-stick surface.
  5. Wipe the outside of the Sandwich Maker with a damp cloth only. Do not clean the outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, they will damage the finish.
