Product Introduction

The Mirage X Sensor Bin (Model: EK9260 / EK9260R) is a high-quality sensor bin designed to provide convenient and hygienic waste disposal.

Power Supply

EK9260: Alkaline battery version

To power the bin, follow these steps:

  1. Turn the bin around and unlock the battery cover.
  2. Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries into the battery box following the directions provided. (Note: Batteries not included)
  3. Make sure to insert the batteries correctly, avoiding reverse installation.
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

Note: Do not use rechargeable batteries for the EK9260 model.

EK9260R: Rechargeable version

To charge the bin, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the cable to the USB Type-C charging port located at the side of the sensor lid.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a power supply outlet or adaptor with a USB plug. (Note: Adaptor not included)
  3. A green light indicates that the bin is fully charged, while a red light indicates that the bin is currently charging.
  4. The charging time is approximately 2-3 hours.

Power ON/OFF

  1. To turn ON the bin, simply switch on the power button located at the side of the bin.
  2. When powered ON, the sensor panel will light up to indicate that the bin is ready for use. The LED lights will flash approximately every 6 seconds when the bin is in standby mode.
  3. To turn OFF the bin, switch off the power button located at the side of the bin.

Operating Instructions

Sensor Mode
The sensor mode allows for automatic opening and closing of the bin.

  • 5 seconds automatic countdown close: The LED signal lights will count down for 5 seconds before the bin automatically closes.
  • To keep the bin open, place your hand or object within the sensor range. Alternatively, you can use the touch buttons to operate the bin.

Manual Mode

The manual mode allows for manual control of the bin lid.

  • When the lid has been opened using the touch button, it must be closed by lightly pressing the button.
  • Lightly press the button to keep the lid open or to close it.
  • Do not flip or slam the lid by hand to avoid damaging the mechanism.

Change Bin Bag

To change the bin bag, follow these steps:

  1. Pull out and tighten the drawstrings of the bin bag.
  2. Remove the bin bag from the bin.
  3. Replace the bag in the inner bucket, tucking any excess bag into the stabilizer or folding it over the liner ring.
  4. Securely place the lid back on top of the bin.

Note: The liner ring is only available for certain models (45L/68L/80L).

Deodorizer Compartment
The deodorizer compartment is located at the front inner side of the lid.

  1. Open the cover of the deodorizer compartment.
  2. Insert a deodorizer into the compartment.
  3. Close the cover securely.

Note: Deodorizer is not included with the product.

Power Supply

EK9260: Alkaline battery versions

Turn to the back of the bin,unlock to open the battery cover,insert 4AA alkaline batteries according to the directions in the battery box.

  • 4AA alkaline batteries not included.
  • Do not use rechargeable batteries.
  • Do not install the batteries in reverse.

EK9260R: Rechargeable versions

To charge the bin, connect the cable to the type-C charging port at the side of the sensor lid, then connect the other side of the cable to a power supply outlet / adaptor with a USB plug.

Operating Instructions

Sensor Mode

Sensor Open/Close

Place hand or object 0-20(±5cm) directly above the sensor panel to open the bin.
All LED signal lights will turn on.

5 seconds automatic countdown close: LED signal lights count down 5 seconds before the bin automatically closes.

Stay Open
Keep hand or object within the sensor range to keep bin open, or use touch buttons to operate the bin.

Manual mode

When lid has been opened using the “ ” touch button, the lid must be closed by lightly pressing the “ ” button.

  • Lightly press to keep the lid open
  • Lightly press to close

Please do not flip or slam the lid by hand to avoid damages to the mechanism.

Change Bin Bag

Depending on waste sorting and recycling needs, use with or without bin bags.

  1. Pull out and tighten the drawstrings, then remove the bin bag.

  3. Deodorizer compartment is located at the front inner side of the lid. Open the cover of deodorizer compartment. Insert deodorizer into the compartment, then close the cover.

Using the built-in deodorizer compartment

Compartments larger than 8x8x0.8CM are compatible with EKO Charcoal Odour Filters or perfume capsules.

Compartments smaller than 8x8x0.8cm are compatible with EKO Charcoal Odour Filters (SKU EK8148 only) or EKO perfume capsules.

Attention

  1. When installing batteries, please mind the battery polarity. Reversed installation of batteries is prohibited.
  2. Avoid use under long exposure to direct sunlight and humidity.
  3. Avoid manual force on the bin’s lid during operation.
  4. Wipe lid with clean dry cloth and do not clean with running water.
  5. If lid contacts water, remove the battery compartment cover and air dry the lid before use.
  6. Avoid pressure on the lid and repeated flipping of the lid.
  7. Replace batteries timely when the lid stops opening, can’t be opened, or will not close.
  8. Keep sensor panel clean for optimal use.
  9. Keep away from heat, wind sources and high traffic areas.
  10. Do not mix old and new alkaline batteries and do not use rechargeable or acid-based batteries.
  11. Please do not disassemble or attempt repair of the product on your own.

Troubleshooting

  1. No lights on – Please make sure the batteries are installed correctly or try new batteries.
  2. No response from sensor – The lid may have been closed by hand in manual mode. Pressing ” ” will reset the modes.
  3. Sensor lid does not open fully – Indicates low power, please replace batteries with 4 new AA alkaline batteries.

Battery and Safety Instructions

  1. Only adults should handle batteries.
  2. Always use the correct type of batteries (AA alkaline batteries).
  3. Always use all new batteries.
  4. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
  5. Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types.
  6. Remove batteries from equipment which is not to be used for an extended period of time.
  7. For recycling and disposal of batteries, please check and comply with your local regulations.
