Step 1
The invitee needs to download the Bird Lover APP on her / his smartphone. -
Step 2
After installing and registering a new account to log in, the administrator just goes to the app homepage, taps on the share sign, and then enters a friend account to share devices. (Some permissions are only available to managers).
Explanation of notification icons after upgrade.
The notification has two icons, with red indicating start. The bird-shaped icon only detects birds and does not detect anything else. The pedestrian sign indicates that both birds and pedestrians will be detected.

Q1: What are the requirements for Wi-Fi? Does it have local storage?
A 1: Please use a 2.4GHz wireless network. The device does not support the 5GHz wireless network. If you insert a TF card or buy iCloud service in the APP, it has local storage, and you can take pictures or videos from playback videos. -
Q2: How far should the camera be placed from the router?
A 2: After testing, the WiFi connection distance can normally reach up to 100 meters in the open area. However, the actual situation depends on the strength of Wi-Fi and its surrounding environment. -
Q3: What should I do when the device is malfunctioning?
A 3: Long press the power button to restart the camera. -
Q4: Can more than one person connect to one feeder?
A 4: Only one person can directly connect to one feeder, but you can share the device with your friends and family if they have an account, the personal data will be different. -
Q5: How long does the battery last? How is it charged?
A 5: It depends on the working time of the camera, the battery can last 4 months when keeping standby without charging. If you connect the charging cable to the solar panel for a continuous charge during daylight, you can constantly have the stream running for years. If the weather isn’t good for a long time, you can take off the camera and charge it indoors. -
Q6: Why there is no recorded video in playback even if I insert a TF card and bought an iCloud storage service?
A 6: Please set the recording settings after you insert the TF card or buy Icloud service, and then the camera will automatically record the video when motion was detected. -
Q7: Why the identified result is wrong?
A 7: The resulting accuracy depends on the angle and clarity of the bird pictures. To ensure a correct result, please ensure the picture is clear enough, the identified features (bird head, tail, wings, or pattern on feathers) are not covered by obstacles, and the bird occupies the main position of the picture. If there are two or more bird species in one picture, the identified result will be the one in the main position.
Pair the Camera to Your Phone App
Note: Before installing your bird feeder and camera, please set up your camera first.
Set up the camera
- Step 1
Go to your App Store or Google Play on your smartphone, search for “Bird Lover” or simply scan this QR code to download the application: Then please sign up for a new account, please check the screenshot below for your reference.
1. Agreement and Privacy policies go to the Next Step.
2. Tap ” Sign Up ” for a new account.
3. Input your country “the United States” and your mail address then check on the Agreement and Privacy policies and go to Next Step.
4. You will receive the Verification Code from your E-mail, put it in, and then go to ” Next Step”.
5. Set the password for your account, and then go to Done.
6. Congratulations! You have already registered successfully. Let’s tap the add the camera now!. - Step 2
- Turn on the camera power.
- When the camera is ready to be connected you will see the indicator light flashing quickly and hear a sound.
- Connect WIFI to the camera, select your network, and input your WIFI password.
- Scan the QR code with the camera.
- If you hear the sound from the camera, please go to the Next Step.
- Please wait for a second, you will see this page and the camera.
- Here we go! Tap the ” Done” icon, you will see the camera image.
Solution When the Camera Cannot Connect to WiFi:
The first scenario: Directly restart the camera to connect. The second
scenario: In a network environment with unchanged WiFi, remove the device from
the app and reset the camera. After resetting, reconnect the camera. The third
scenario: In a new WiFi network environment, simply remove the device from the
app and reconnect.
Reset the Procedure Instructions
- Step 1: Gently insert a pin into the hole (Sync/Reset) on the top of the camera, press, and hold for 5 seconds to complete the reset
- Step 2: Connect according to the consistent connection process mentioned above. (Resetting will clear the data. If necessary, please save the required data in advance.)
