Assembly

Important : Do not use this device with other microphone stands. Lift the unit only from the bottom base. Exercise caution when placing larger devices in the holder.

  1. Lift the rubber cover on the top of the main unit and insert the mic stand. Rotate it clockwise to tighten.
  2. Untighten the cradle pole adjustment cap and pull up on the cradle pole. Retighten the cap to secure it.
  3. Untighten the cradle pole cap.
  4. Insert the cradle with mic holders into the mic stand and rotate to tighten.
  5. Untighten the height adjustment cap to set a suitable height. Retighten the cap to secure it.

Rechargeable Battery

This unit has a built-in rechargeable battery pack for cordless operation. The battery should not be serviced or replaced by the user.
To maximize battery life, it is recommended to charge the unit once a month. When the battery indicator on the display flashes slowly, follow these steps to recharge:

  1. Plug the AC power cord into a 120V, 60Hz outlet and connect to the unit.
  2. Allow the unit to charge for approximately 2 hours for a full charge. The battery indicator will turn off when fully charged.
  3. Disconnect the AC cord. The fully charged unit can be used for approximately 4 hours, depending on the selected functions.
    Rechargeable Battery

ATTENTION : The sound volume will adjust automatically when the battery is not full.
Recycling and Disposal Information:

  • Do not dispose of electronic devices or any of their components. (especially batteries and LCD displays) in your municipal trash collection.
  • Consult your local waste management authority or a recycling organization like Earth911. com to find an electronics recycling facility in your area.

CAUTION : Rechargeable batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly.

Energy Saving (Auto Power System APS)

If there is no audio playback, the unit will automatically enter standby mode after 20 minutes.
To resume using the unit, press the  ****button.
APS is designed to save energy.

Connections

Charging the unit

Insert the AC power cord into a conveniently located AC outlet having 120V AC, 60Hz.

  • Connect all cables before plugging the AC adapter into a power outlet.
  • The provided AC adapter is exclusively for charging the built-in rechargeable battery. Do not use it with other devices.

Connecting the Unit to a TV

To output casting video and audio to your TV, follow these steps:

  1. Plug the HDMI cable (not included) into the HDMI Jack on the back of the unit.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI input on your TV.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • This unit can be used with or without a TV, but it is highly recommended to use a TV to access all features.
  • Consult your TV’s User Guide for additional information.
  • Please note that audio and mic input cannot be output to your TV.

To connect the wireless microphone(s), follow these steps:

  1. Press the button to power on the unit.
  2. Press the 1 button on the wireless microphone to turn it on. The Mic indicator 1 or 2 will blink and become solid when connected.

NOTES:

  • The wireless microphone has a working distance of up to 30 feet/10 meters in an open space.
  • If there is no audio input to the unit for 20 minutes, the wireless microphone connection will automatically turn off. To reactivate the connection, turn on the unit and press the button.

To change the wireless microphone’s battery:

  1. Unscrew the bottom of the wireless microphone.
  2. Replace the existing batteries with 2 x “AA” size/LR6 batteries.
  3. Screw the bottom of the wireless microphone back on securely.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

The precautions below should be followed when using batteries in this device:

  1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
  2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
  3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline, Rechargeable and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
  4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
  5. Do not try to recharge a battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture. (Follow the battery manufacturer’s directions.)
  6. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before being charged.
  7. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  8. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
  9. Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

To connect optional wired microphones:

  1. Plug the wired microphone (not included) into the Mic jack marked  1 or 2 (depending on preference).
  2. The corresponding mic indicator light will blink to indicate a successful connection.

Connect unit to Wi-Fi using your mobile device:

  1. Press the button to turn the unit on and ensure to connect it to a TV via HDMI.

  2. USE YOUR MOBILE DEVICE TO COMPLETE THIS STEP:

    a Press the button on your unit or navigate to “SINGCAST OPEN” on your TV screen in the main menu. “CAST” will display on the screen. If this unit has not been connected to your Wi-Fi network a step 1 QR code will pop up on the screen.
    b Scan the step 1 QR code that appears on the screen using your mobile device and wait for it to connect.
    c Once your mobile device is connected to the unit , a step 2 QR code will appear on the screen.
    d Scan the step 2 QR code with your mobile device and wait for a Wi-Fi list to pop up.
    e On your mobile device, select your home Wi-Fi from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password.
    f If the unit fails to connect, double check the password and Wi-Fi frequency, then repeat the steps.

    • Ensure the mobile device and unit are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
    • Connection issues may arise with WPA3 security settings. If using WPA3, consider switching to WPA2 or lower, or seek further assistance from us.
  3. After successful Wi-Fi connection, the on-screen display will show “connected” Download the Singing Machine Karaoke App to enjoy your favorite karaoke music and project HD karaoke videos on your TV.

  4. The unit automatically pairs with a previously connected Wi-Fi network. To connect to a different WiFi network, access the main menu, go to SETTINGS > Wi-Fi settings > DISCONNECT to disconnect from the current network and connect to a new one.

  1. Press and hold the button for a quick return to the main menu.
    Navigate using the and buttons to select the SETTINGS icon, indicated by “set up” on-screen.

  3. Choose Software update to update the unit’s software.

  4. Choose Software info to view the latest software version and serial number of the unit.

  5. Select Factory setting to delete all stored data in the unit.

Using Sing Cast Casting

  1. Connect the unit to a TV as previously described. Power on the unit by pressing the button. The power indicator will solidly light up.

  2. In the main menu shown on the TV, select SINGCAST using the , , , navigation buttons OR press the button in the unit. The word “CAST” will be displayed on the screen.

  3. Download the Singing Machine Karaoke App to access a wide selection of HD karaoke videos to project from your mobile device to your TV (make sure your mobile device and the unit are connected to the same WiFi network).

  4. Register your account and choose your favorite song. Press the “ “ icon and select “SingCast_Cube” to cast the karaoke video to your TV.

  5. Turn on the microphone by pressing the button.

  6. Adjust the volume using the MUSIC VOLUME/MIC VOLUME control until it’s comfortable.

  7. Use the MUSIC VOLUME/MIC VOLUME control on the unit or the or – buttons on the mic to adjust the volume of the microphone.

  8. Select a voice effect by pressing the or button.

  9. To record your singing performance along with the music, press the REC button. The record indicator will light up. Press the REC button again to stop recording.

    • A USB drive (not included) must be inserted into the USB slot for recording.
    • The audio file will be saved on the USB drive.
  10. To turn off the unit, press and hold the button.

Instructions for using the unit with a Bluetooth device:

  1. Begin by connecting the unit as previously described. Once connected, press the button to turn the unit on.

  2. To navigate the menu, press the button or use the , , , Navigation buttons to select “BLUETOOTH OPEN” in the menu casted on the TV. When successfully selected, “BT” will light up on the display, and the indicator will flash.

  3. The unit will automatically search and pair with a previously paired Bluetooth device, if any. If there are no previously paired devices, follow the next step to establish a connection.
    NOTE : If you want to pair a new device while one is already connected, you can press and hold the button to disconnect the currently paired device.

  4. On your device, access the settings and turn on the Bluetooth option to initiate a search for discoverable devices with a Bluetooth signal. From the device results in the Bluetooth menu, select “SINGING MACHINE”
    NOTE : For detailed instructions specific to your Bluetooth device, refer to its user manual.

  5. After successful pairing, the Bluetooth indicator light will remain solid.
    NOTES:

    • If your Bluetooth device prompts for a passcode during pairing, enter “0000” to connect.
    • Some Bluetooth devices may require selecting your Bluetooth device as “Use as Audio Device” or a similar option after pairing is completed.
    • If the connection is lost after successful pairing, ensure the distance between the speaker and the Bluetooth-enabled device does not exceed 30 feet/10 meters.
  6. Start music playback either by controlling your Bluetooth device or by pressing the button on this unit (ensure the music app is open). Press the button again during playback to pause the song.

  7. djust the volume to your desired level using the MUSIC VOLUME/ MIC VOLUME control on this unit and the volume control on your Bluetooth device.
    NOTE : The music played through Bluetooth and your singing performance will only be heard through the unit’s speakers.

  8. Turn on the microphone by pressing the button on the microphone.

  9. Use the MUSIC VOLUME/MIC VOLUME control on the unit or the or buttons on the mic to adjust the volume of the microphone.
    Increasing this control will amplify the microphone volume.

  10. RECORD YOUR SINGING PERFORMANCE Press the REC button to start recording your singing and the music. The record indicator will light solid. To stop recording, press the REC button again. The record indicator will turn off.
    NOTES :

    • Insert a USB drive (not included) into the USB slot to record.
    • The recorded audio file will save onto the USB drive.
  11. SING WITHOUT THE LEAD SINGER ON THE RECORDING Press the button to remove the lead singer from the recording. Press the button again to resume the lead singer.
    NOTE : Lead vocal removal effectiveness may vary depending on the song.

  12. SELECT A VOICE EFFECT:
    Press the or button to choose a voice effect.

  13. TURN OFF THE UNIT:
    Press and hold the button to power off the unit.

Steps for playing songs from a USB drive:

  1. Connect the unit as previously described and press the button to turn it on.

  2. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port on the unit.

  3. If the unit is connected to a TV, press the USB button or use the Navigation buttons , , , to select “USB OPEN” in the main menu. The display will show “READ” indicating that the USB mode is being accessed. Note that the USB mode cannot be accessed until a USB drive with songs is inserted.

  4. Turn on the microphone by pressing the button.

  5. Adjust the units volume to a comfortable level using the MUSIC VOLUME/MIC VOLUME control.

  6. To adjust the microphone volume, toggle the MUSIC VOLUME/MIC VOLUME control on the unit or press the or buttons on the microphone.
    Increasing this control will increase the volume of the microphone.

  7. To start playback of an MP3 file, press the button. If you wish to pause the music momentarily during playback, press the button. Press the button again to resume normal playback. To stop playback, press and hold the button.

  8. SKIP : Advance or go back one track by pressing the or button. To skip forward or backward 10 files/tracks, press and hold the or button.

Steps for using the AUX IN jack on the device

  1. Connect the unit as described previously and press the / button to turn it on. The power indicator will light up.

  2. Connect an external unit to the AUX INPUT Jack using a 3.5mm auxiliary audio cable (not included). This will allow the audio from the external unit to be played through your Singing Machine.
    NOTES :

    • It is highly recommended to set the volume on the auxiliary unit to 1/3 or lower to avoid distortion.
    • Skipping files/tracks is not possible on this unit when using an external device.

  3. If the unit is connected to a TV, press the AUX button or use the Navigation buttons , , , to select “AUX IN OPEN” in the main menu. The display will show “AUX” to indicate that the AUX mode is activated.

Troubleshooting Guide

If your unit exhibits a problem, try the following before seeking service:

No Power

  • Press the button to turn on the power.
  • Connect the unit to AC power to recharge the battery.
  • Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected.
  • Try connecting the unit to a different outlet.
  • The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong Electro-Magnetic
    Interference. If so, simply restart the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. In case the function could not resume, please use the product in another location.

No Sound – General

  • Raise the volume by adjusting the MUSIC VOL/MIC VOL control.
  • Correct function was not selected; select the correct function.
  • If using an external device, increase its volume.

No Sound – If connected to a TV

  • Ensure the correct mode (Sing Cast) is selected on the unit.
  • Note that Bluetooth music audio and singing performance cannot be output to the TV.
  • Check the TV volume and unmute if necessary.
  • Select the correct source (usually HDMI) on the TV’s menu.

No sound from the microphone

  • Replace the batteries in the wireless microphone.
  • Set the mic’s ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
  • Adjust the MUSIC VOLUME/MIC VOLUME control to an appropriate level.
  • Note that the microphone input cannot be output to the TV.

Bluetooth device pairing or connection issues

  • Turn off other Bluetooth devices to prevent accidental pairing.
  • Activate the Bluetooth function on your device  or refer to the Bluetooth device user’s manual.
  • Press and hold the button to restart pairing mode.

Music not available on the unit after successful Bluetooth connection

  • Ensure your Bluetooth device supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
  • Increase the volume or unmute the external Bluetooth device.

Failed to connect to the Wi-Fi network

  • Make sure the unit is within the Wi-Fi signal range.
  • Verify that you have entered the correct password.
  • Confirm that the mobile device and unit are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Note that WPA3 security settings may cause connection issues. Consider switching to WPA2 or lower security, or seek further assistance.

Need Help Casting? Start here!

Scanning QR code fail

  • Rescan the QR code. If unsuccessful, try using a specific QR code scanning app.
  • Alternatively, connect the SingCast unit directly to your Wi-Fi network through the “SETTINGS menu/Wi-Fi setting.”

No Internet connection

  • Make sure the unit is in SingCast mode.
  • Verify the correct Wi-Fi password is entered.
  • Ensure the SingCast unit is within 10 meters of the router to avoid weak signal. If the WiFi signal level is weak we recommend that you relocate the SingCast unit closer to the router.
  • The unit is compatible with Wi-Fi security standards: WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2, WPA2-PSK, WPA3, WEP 64 bit & 128bit, IEEE 802.11x, and IEEE 802.11i.
  • If your router has a security standard higher than WPA3, set it to WPA3 or lower.
  • If still unable to connect, consider factory resetting your router while noting down your SSID and password. *Make sure you have written down your existing customized SSID name and password, this will help in reconnecting your previously connected devices and revert to your previous WiFi security settings.
  • Check for any internet connection problems on your router and ensure the SingCast unit is not restricted from going online.
  • Connect the unit’s Wi-Fi to your mobile device’s hotspot with data service to verify Wi-Fi functionality.

Cannot find the SingCast unit on your Karaoke app casting list / No Casting video to TV

  • Ensure both the SingCast unit and your mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check advanced security settings to enable DLNA if SingCast is not appearing as a casting option.
  • If using a router with Mesh function, enable the “Access Intranet” function.
