Extension Cord Reel Retractable Heavy Duty

Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use, If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.

when using electrica l appl iances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/ or injury to persons including the following:

• Do not open the cover. This cable reel is equipped with springs under high tension.

• The warnings, cautions and instructions mentioned in this user manual cannot cover all possible conditions or situations that might occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors that cannot be  built into this product, but must be considered by the operator.

• Keep the work area clean and dry. Damp or wet work areas can result in injury.

• Keep children away from work area . Do not allow children to handle this product.

• Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force small equipment to do the work of larger industrial equipment.
  There are certain applications for which this product was designed. It will do the job better and more safely at the capacity for which it was intended . Do not mod ify this product, and do not use this product for a purpose for which it  was not intended.

• Check for damaged parts . Before using  this product, carefully check that it willoperate properly and perform its intended function. Check for damaged parts and any other conditions that may affect the oper ation of this product.  Replace damaged or worn parts immediately.

• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times to prevent tripping, falling, back injury, etc.

• Do not use the product when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating this product may res ult in serious personal injury.

• Ensure that only a qualified electrician may install/service this product. This product must not be used by children or unskilled persons.

• Ensure that the power supply voltage does not exceed the maximum voltage rating of the prod uct.

• Connect the product to a properly grounded outlet only.

• Ensure that the product is properly installed before connecting to the power supply.

• Disconnect the product from the power supply be fore servicing.

• Check for frayed and broken wires before each use.

• Before starting work, make sure that you know ho w to stop the product In the event of an emergency. Any other use could damage the product or cause serious injury.

• When malfunction occurs, immediately disconnect the product from the power supply .

• Never remove, tamper with or cut out the safety devices fitted by the manufacturer.

• Do not use the product in damp or wet conditions.

Parts pre-attached. Detach them before installation.

Before First Use

DANGER Risk of suffocation!

• Keep any packaging materials away from children — these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation .

• Check the product for transport damages.
  Remove all the packing materi als.

• Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the produc t rating label.

Installation

WARNING Risk of electric shocked!

• Before mounting, determine the suitable mounting location. The mounting surface must be capable of supporting the weight of the product.
• Install the product in premises conformi ng to local regulations and standards coveri ng elect rical systems and work environments .
• Do not drill into any pipes or power lines beneath the surface during mounting holes preparation. Use voltage/metal detector.

NOTICE
For mounting the product on a wooden wail, the wall plugs (F) are no t needed .
For mounting the product on a metal plate, use the hex washer bolt s (H), split washers (l) and nuts (K) instead.

Operation

1. Check the reel for correct operation by slowly pulling out the cord. A “clicking” noise will be heard every half revolution of the drum.
2. To latch the ree l, slowly pull out the cord and allow it to ret ract after hearing th e first, second or third click”.
3. To unlatch an d wind , slowly pull out the cord until the clicking” noise stops, then let the cord retract until the cord stopper (B) rests against the reel case.

NOTICE
Avoid To avoid damage to the reel case, always hold on to the cord while it is rewinding,

NOTICE
Adjust the cord stopper (B) to the suitab le pos ition when required.
To do so, loosen the stoppe r screw s and slide the cord stopper (BJ to the desired position. Tighten the screws after the adjustment.

Resetting the Circuit Breaker

NOTICE DO NOT OVERLOAD the outlets. The product can accommodate a total equipment load of up to 15 A (1875 1/vj (for mode l: B086F5LJK4) or 7.5 A (937.5 W) (for model: B086FBCSKJ) (whether plugged into a single outlet or spread out over multiple outlets). If the loa d exceeds the maximum wattage, the circuit breaker built-in into the reset button (D) trips and the outlet s stop providing power.

In case the circui t breaker trips, proceed as below:

1. Unplug all the connected equipment.
2. Remove the plug (E) from outlet.
3. Press the reset button (D).
4. Connect the equipment one by one.
   While doing so, do not exceed a total maximum wattage.

Cleaning and Maintenance

WARNING Risk of electric Shock!

• To prevent electri c shock, unplug the product before cleaning.
• During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.

8.1 Cleaning

• To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
• Never use corros ive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.

8.2 Maintenance

• Any oth er servicing than mentioned in this manual should be performed by a professional repair centre.

Troubleshooting

add tension to the reel’s internal  spring.
Cord does not retract at all.| •  Call an authorized technician for service.
No electrical power at output end of cord.| • The circuit breaker tripped. See “Resetting the Circuit Breaker” chapter.
