IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING : Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

  1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.
  2. This Appliance is not intended to be used by children under 8 or anyone lacking knowledge on proper use. Supervision may be necessary. Do not allow children to play with the Appliance.
  3. Do not use the Appliance in extremely hot, cold or humid environments (below 0˚C/32˚F, above 40˚C/104˚F, above 65% humidity). The Appliance can be used to clean outside windows if it is properly tethered to the Safety Pod, winds are calm, and it is not raining or snowing.
  4. Please ensure the Appliance is plugged in while it is cleaning. The Appliance has a Back-Up Battery that charges during use. The Back-Up Battery powers the Appliance if it becomes unplugged or the electricity fails.
  5. Do not leave the Appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
  6. For household use ONLY. Do not use the Appliance in commercial or industrial environments.
  7. Do not use the Appliance on cracked glass.
  8. Only use accessories recommended or supplied by the manufacturer. Only use the Power Adapter supplied by the manufacturer.
  9. Please make sure your power supply voltage matches the power voltage marked on the Power Adapter.
  10. Do not use the Appliance on a framed window with a frame smaller than 5mm (0.2 inches).
  11. Do not use the Appliance on wet or greasy windows.
  12. Store the Appliance away from heat and flammable materials.
  13. Do not use the Appliance if it does not firmly attach to the glass or has visible signs of damage.
  14. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put the Appliance in water or other liquid. Do not place or store Appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
  15. Do not touch power plug or the Appliance with wet hands.
  16. Do not charge the Appliance in extremely hot or cold environments, or it may affect battery life span.
  17. When charging the Appliance, do not place it on other electrical appliances and keep it away from fire and liquid.
  18. Take care not to damage the power cord. Do not pull on or carry the Appliance by the power cord, use the power cord as a handle, close a window on the power cord, or put heavy weights on the power cord. Keep power cord away from hot surfaces.
  19. Do not use with a damaged power cord or receptacle. Do not use the Appliance if it is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged, or come in contact with water. It must be repaired by the manufacturer or its service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
  20. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
  21. The plug must be removed from the receptacle before cleaning or maintaining the Appliance. Do not unplug the Power Adapter by pulling on the power cord.
  22. The Back-Up Battery must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
  23. The Back-Up Battery must be removed and discarded according to local laws and regulations before disposal of the Appliance.
  24. The Appliance must be disconnected from the receptacle before removing the battery for disposal of the Appliance.
  25. Please dispose of used batteries according to local laws and regulations.
  26. Do not incinerate the Appliance even if it is severely damaged. The battery can explode in a fire.
  27. The Appliance must be used in accordance with the directions in this Instruction Manual. ECOVACS ROBOTICS cannot be held liable or responsible for any damages or injuries caused by improper use.
  28. To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when an appliance is used near children.
  29. Do not contact moving parts.
  30. Risk of Electric Shock. Do not expose to rain, store indoors.
  31. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger on the switch or energizing appliance that have the switch on invites accidents.
  32. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  33. Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  34. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
  35. Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
  36. Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130°C may cause explosion. The temperature of 130°C can be replaced by the temperature of 265°F.
  37. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
  38. Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
  39. Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack (as applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.
  40. The minimum ambient temperature for battery storage is – 30°C, and the recommended ambient temperature range for charging is 4°C to 40°C.
  41. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause bums or a fire.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generate, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Notes Before Cleaning

Before use, make sure Safety Tether and Carabiner has been securely fastened to a fixed object to prevent any potential dangers.
Safety Tether and Carabiner are assembled by default. Do not disassemble at will.

Turn ON Station and WINBOT
Press and hold the Power Button on the Station for 2 seconds or more to turn on Station and WINBOT.
Before use, make sure Station has sufficient battery. If Station battery is low, refer to the Charging section. Under room temperature, charging time is approximately 3 hours.

Properly Place the Station
Place the Station next to the window you want to clean.
Notes:

  1. Try to place the Station as close to the window as possible to prevent people or animals from being tripped over by the Compound Cable.
  2. If you need to clean larger floor-to-ceiling windows, ensure that you place the Station on the ground near the window opening because the Compound Cable may not be long enough.
  3. Place WINBOT Station on a flat surface to facilitate the attachment of the Bottom Suction Cup.
  4. Do not place the Station on uneven surfaces, such as carpets, floors with gaps, as it may result in loose attachment of the Bottom Suction Cup.

  • The effective length of the Compound Cable is 5.5 m. Suitable for windows with a maximum size of 4 meters in width and 2.5 meters in height.
  • Bottom Suction Cup can only attach on flat, smooth, and seamless surfaces, such as smooth and seamless flooring, tiles, and marble.

Take WINBOT Out
Open the Front Cover, hold WINBOT handle, and lift WAINBOT upward. You can extend the Compound Cable as needed.

Take Out Accessories
Gently press the Back Cover and take out Mopping Pad and the bottle.

Fill up the Reservior
It is recommended to add the tap water into the reservior. The maximum volume of the Reservoir is about 60 ml, and it can spray for about 60 minutes when the Reservoir is full.

Note:
Do not add too much tap water to overflow the Reservoir.
Do not add purified water nor filtered water.

Install Mopping Pad

Wet the Mopping Pad
Before using, wet the Mopping Pad manually.

Twist the Mopping Pad to wring water out.
To ensure cleaning performance, wring it out as much as you can.

Stick the Mopping Pad
Stick the Mopping Pad onto the Velcro at the bottom of WINBOT, and press it with your hands to help the Mopping Pad stick firmly.

Tie the Safety Tether
Properly tie the safety tether to a stable object that cannot be easily moved (e.g. table leg, chair leg, bed leg, sofa leg, curtain rod, stair handrail, etc.), and lock the carabiner as shown below.
Hang the rope and wrap it around the surpport.
Open the carabiner, then attach it to the rope on the other side.

Note : To ensure safety, please make sure to secure the carabiner before use.
It is recommended to fasten the Safety Tether with the Carabiner on a firm and safe metal railing.

Select Cleaning Mode

Select the appropriate cleaning mode by pressing buttons on Station. If you do not select any mode, WINBOT will apply the last remembered mode*.

Recommendations for Mode Selection:
Daily cleaning ( ≤ 1 time per quarter): Quick Mode for fast and clean effect.
Deep cleaning ( ≥ every half year): Deep Mode with a denser cleaning path, including edge cleaning.

Edge Cleaning will not be remembered. Factory default mode is Deep Mode.

Start Cleaning

Start Cleaning
Make sure Station and WINBOT is turned on.

1. Press and hold START button on WINBOT for 2 seconds to start the fan.
2. Place WINBOT’s bottom close to the glass. WINBOT will automatically attach itself and start cleaning.

Notes:

  • When Station is charging, fan cannot be started. Use WINBOT after Station is fully charged and the power plug is unplugged.
  • Do not place WINBOT too close to the edge of the window. It is recommended to keep a distance of at least 10cm from the edge of the window.
  • WINBOT is only suitable for flat surfaces without gaps.
  • After the fan is started, do not bring small objects such as hair close to the fan to prevent them from being sucked in and blocking the fan.

Switch Modes
When WINBOT is working, you can switch cleaning modes by pressing Mode Switching Button on the Station. After switching modes, WINBOT will start the new cleaning mode immediately.

Note: Press Mode Switching Button to switch between Deep Mode, Quick Mode, and Edge Mode in sequence. To learn and use more modes, refer to ECOVACS HOME App.

Pause Operation and Move Station

Pause
If you need to pause WINBOT’s current operation, press the Power Button on the Station. WINBOT will immediately pause its work and stop moving. Press the Power Button on the Station again, and WINBOT will resume and continue the unfinished cleaning task.

Move Station:
If you wish to move the Station during the cleaning process:

  1. Press and hold the Power Button on the Station, and then press the Mode Switching Button (short or long press). WINBOT will pause its work, and the Station’s suction cup will automatically release its grip.
  2. Move Station to the new location as needed, ensuring that it is placed on a flat and smooth surface.
  3. Press the Power Button on the Station again, Station’s suction cup will automatically attach, and WINBOT will resume and continue the unfinished cleaning task.

Note:  After Station’s suction cup releases its grip, if there is no button operation within one minute, the suction cup will automatically attach to prevent Station from accidentally tipping over.

Maintenance during Cleaning

For heavily stained glass, please wash or replace the Mopping Pad several times and clean the four Spherical Sensors in time.

Finish Operation

Finish Operation During the Cleaning Process

  1. Press and hold the Reeling In Button on the Station for 2 seconds or more, then WINBOT will immediately halt its current task, return to its original position, and wait to be removed.
  2. Press and hold the START Button on WINBOT for 2 seconds or more to stop the fan. Then, remove WINBOT according to voice prompts.

Finish Operation When Cleaning Task is Completed
After finishing the cleaning task, WINBOT will automatically return to its original position, and wait to be removed.
Press and hold the START Button on WINBOT for 2 seconds or more to stop the fan. Then, remove WINBOT according to voice prompts.

Store after Cleaning

Steps

Store WINBOT
Place WINBOT with its front facing outward and the Compound Cable exit end facing upward. Then, insert WINBOT from top to bottom into the Station’s storage compartment, ensuring that WINBOT hangs on the hooks in the storage compartment.

  • When storing WINBOT, remove the wet mopping pad. Store the mopping pad after it is dried to avoid any unpleasant odors.

Reel in the Compound Cable
After placing WINBOT into the storage compartment, press the Reeling In Button, and the Station will immediately start reeling in the Compound Cable .

  • As the reeling-in process nears completion, the reeling-in speed slows until the cable is fully reeled in. This is a normal occurrence; do not worry.
  • During the reeling-in process, the Compound Cable may become twisted. Do not worry and help straighten it. Then press the Reeling In Button again to complete the reeling-in process.

Power Off
Press and hold the Power Button on the Station for 2 seconds and more to power off WINBOT.

If WINBOT is powered on but the fan is not working, and you do not operate any buttons on the Station or WINBOT for an extended period ( ≥ 10 minutes), WINBOT will automatically power off. To use WINBOT again, long press and hold the Power Button on the Station to turn on WINBOT.

Advanced Features

To enjoy all available features, it is recommended to control your WINBOT via the ECOVACS HOME App.

  • Multiple Cleaning Modes
    Deep Mode: A denser cleaning path with edge cleaning for thorough and complete cleaning.
    Fine Mode: A dense cleaning path for removing heavy dirt.
    Quick Mode: Quick cleaning for light dirt removal.
    Edge Mode: Dedicated edge cleaning for clearing residue in corners and edges.

  • Troubleshooting
    When WINBOT issues alerts, you can go to ECOVACS HOME App for a comprehensive troubleshooting guide. This will help you quickly and accurately address any issues and reduce concerns.

  • Omni-directional Remote Control
    Through the app, you can use the omni-directional remote control feature to control WINBOT. It supports both inside and outside window perspectives, 360° remote control, spot cleaning, and manual water spraying.

Charging

Place the Station near a power outlet and connect it to the power source. The charging time is approximately 3 hours at room temperature. During charging, the battery indicator light slowly flashes BLUE. Once the charging is completed, the battery indicator light is in solid BLUE.

Notes:

  1. Charging may slow down in low temperatures; for example, at 5° C, it may take approximately 5 hours to fully charge the Station.
  2. WINBOT and its Station are suitable for use in temperatures ranging from 0° C to 40° C. Do not charge the Station in temperatures outside this range.
  3. WINBOT’s fan cannot operate while charging. Please use WINBOT after charging is completed.
  4. If you do not use WINBOT for an extended period, it is recommended to periodically charge the Station to help maintain its battery health.

Maintenance

Mopping Pad
Replace the Mopping Pad
Remove the dirty Mopping Pad from WINBOT and place a clean new one on it. Then, press the Mopping Pad with your hands to help it stick firmly. Please make sure the Mopping Pad is correctly attached, and do not cover the Spherical Sensors.

  • Clean the Velcro at the bottom of WINBOT with a clean brush if it is dirty. Do not wash with water to avoid damage caused by water.

Wash the Mopping Pad
Remove the Mopping Pad. Wash it with tap water, and wring it dry before use.

Note : Wash with tap water.
Washing the Mopping Pad regularly can extend its service life.
If the Mopping Pad becomes worn or no longer fits exactly within the fastener area, replace it with a new one to achieve optimal cleaning performance. Explore more accessories at ECOVACS HOME App or at

Troubleshooting

Hold the Safety Tether or the Power Cord. Meanwhile, press Direction Buttons in ECOVACS HOME App to let the WINBOT leave the gap or barrier.

The Mopping Pad Plate is blocked by small obstacles on the glass.

The driving treads are stuck.

| Check if there is any dust or debris on the Driving Treads. If so, please clean the Driving Treads as described in Maintenance. Start WINBOT again. If problem persists, please contact Customer Service.

| The bumper rail is stuck.| ****

Remove WINBOT from the window. Check if the bumper rail is stuck. Clean the bumper rail and restart WINBOT. If problem persists, please contact Customer Service.

The bumper rail is damaged.


Spherical Sensors signal abnormity.

| A. Remove the Mopping Pad and re-attach it making sure it will not cover or affect the Spherical Sensors.

B.  Clean the Spherical Sensors as described in Maintenance.

C.  If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service.

Fan malfunction.| A.  Clean the Fan as described in Maintenance.

B.  If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service.

WINBOT is too close to the edge of the glass or obstacles.

| Use the Direction Control buttons in the App to move WINBOT away from the problem area and at least 10 cm (3.94 in) from window corners and obstacles. Restart WINBOT. Alternatively, remove WINBOT from the window and put it at least 10 cm (3.94 in) from window corners and obstacles. Restart WINBOT.

WINBOT is stuck.

|

It is stuck by obstacles.

| Fix the Safety Clasp and tether firmly. Hold WINBOT power cord and meanwhile, use ECOVACS HOME App to move WINBOT away from the stuck area. If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service.
