  • Backström is the current that drains the battery when the charger is not connected to the power supply. CTEK chargers have very low back current.

** Charging ripple is the quality of the charging voltage and is very important. High charging ripple heats the battery and can damage the battery’s positive electrode. CTEK chargers produce very clean voltage and current with low ripple.

Connecting the Charger
Refer to the vehicle’s manual and follow the instructions to connect the charger to the battery.

Charging Modes
The charger offers different charging modes for different battery types. The available modes are:

  • Normal Program (Lead Acid)

  • Supply Program
  • Reconditioning Program

Normal Program (Lead Acid)
This program is suitable for lead acid batteries. It provides a normal charging process.

Lithium Program
This program is designed for lithium-ion batteries. It provides a specific charging process optimized for lithium-ion technology.

Supply Program
The supply program allows the charger to act as a power supply for the connected battery without charging it.

Reconditioning Program
The reconditioning program is used to revive and restore the performance of old or deeply discharged batteries.

Warranty Conditions

CTEK provides a warranty to the purchaser of the product. The warranty is non- transferable and is valid for defects in material and workmanship. The customer must return the product together with the purchase receipt. The warranty does not cover if the product has been opened, mishandled, or repaired by anyone other than CTEK or its authorized representatives. If a scratch on the underside of the charger can be sealed. If resealing or damage ceases, the warranty does not apply. CTEK provides no warranty beyond this limited warranty and is not responsible for costs other than those mentioned above, including consequential damages. In addition, CTEK does not provide any warranty beyond this warranty.
