Battery Installation
Before Working on Equipment
- Turn off all power supplying this equipment before working on or inside equipment.
- Use push-to-trip button to trip the device.
- Use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm power is off.
Installation
- Unscrew the screws of the front cover and remove it as directed in the instruction sheet of the device.
- Install the wireless indication auxiliary in the corresponding accessory slot.
The location of the wireless indication auxiliary in the device defines its function:
- OF: Indication of the open or closed status of the device
- SD: Indication of the tripped or non-tripped status of the device
- SDE: Indication of the tripped or non-tripped status of the device due to an electrical fault.
ComPacT NSX100-250 / PowerPacT H-, J-Frame
The installation of wireless indication auxiliary in OF1 slot is not possible if a SDTAM module or SDx module are already installed.
The installation of the wireless indication auxiliary in the SDE slot requires prior installation of the actuator (LV429451), to be ordered separately if required.
ComPacT NSX400-630 / PowerPacT L-Frame
ComPacT NS630b-1600 / PowerPacT M-, P-Frame

Alarm switch (SD) is not available for electrically-operated devices.
ComPacT NS1600b-3200 / PowerPacT R-Frame
Setting LED Indication Mode
Set the LED indication mode of the wireless indication auxiliary to ON to indicate a circuit breaker trip locally when the auxiliary is installed in the SD slot.
The LED indication mode is factory-set to OFF.
| 1 Press the Reset button.
The wireless indication auxiliary status LED blinks

| 2. Press the Reset button three times in less than two seconds: The
auxiliary is in setting mode. Status LED flashes:
- three times if LED indication mode is OFF
- six times if LED indication mode is ON.
| 3 Press the Reset button once to change the LED indication mode.
The flashing pattern of the status LED changes according to the new LED indication mode.
| 4. To exit setting mode, press the Reset button for three seconds.
NOTE: If the Reset button is not pressed, the auxiliary exits setting mode after two minutes.
Commissioning
- The wireless indication auxiliary can be commissioned with the device switched off.
- Before proceeding with pairing, ensure that the gateway or Panel Server has the latest available firmware version.
Refer to the user guide of the concerned gateway.
Pairing
Put the wireless indication auxiliary in pairing mode in one of the following ways:
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is not installed in the circuit breaker, press the Reset button or the actuator.
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is installed in the OF slot, open and close the circuit breaker.
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is installed in the SD slot, open, close and action the push-to-trip button on the circuit breaker.
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is installed in the SDE slot, open, close and trip the circuit breaker electrically.
Result: The status LED blinks orange. The wireless indication auxiliary stays in pairing mode for three minutes.

Pair the gateway or Panel Server with the wireless indication auxiliary by
using EcoStruxure Power Commission software or the webpages of the gateway or
Panel Server.
Result: The status LED blinks green to indicate that the auxiliary is
paired.|
Configure the wireless indication auxiliary by using EcoStruxure Power
Commission software or the webpages of the gateway or Panel Server.|
Change of the Radio Frequency Channel
To change the radio frequency channel used by the gateway or Panel Server to communicate:

Wake up the wireless indication auxiliary in one of the following ways:
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is not installed in the circuit breaker, press the Reset button or the actuator.
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is installed in the OF slot, open and close the circuit breaker.
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is installed in the SD slot, open, close and action the push-to-trip button on the circuit breaker.
- If the wireless indication auxiliary is installed in the SDE slot, open, close and trip the circuit breaker electrically.
Result: The wireless indication auxiliary wakes up, and is ready to be configured for three minutes.

Change the radio frequency channel used by the gateway or Panel Server to communicate with the wireless indication auxiliary by using EcoStruxure Power Commission software or the webpages of the gateway or Panel Server. Result: The status LED blinks green to indicate that the auxiliary communicates with the gateway or Panel Server.
Reinstall Front Cover
DANGER
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION OR ARC FLASH Put back the device front
cover before energizing device to prevent access to live terminals.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
HAZARD OF EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
- Be careful not to pinch electrical wires when installing front cover.
- Tighten all front cover screws to stated torque.
- Do not over torque screws.
- Do not use power equipment to torque screws. Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.
- Put back front cover as directed in the instruction sheet of the device.
- Device is ready to be placed in service.
Unpairing
Press the Reset button for 3 s to unpair the wireless indication auxiliary.
Wireless Indication Auxiliary Removal
Release tab to remove the wireless indication auxiliary.
