BEFORE Fl RST USE
- Before using your blender for the first time, remove any packaging material and promotional labels.
- Be careful when handling the blades as they are extremely sharp.
- Wash the jug, lid, blade assembly, and attachments with a soft cloth in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. All parts (except the motor base) may also be washed in the dishwasher, but only on the top shelf.
OPERATION
- Place the measuring cup into the lid and turn it anticlockwise to lock. Insert the blade assembly into the jug and turn it anticlockwise. Then, place the food you wish to blend into the glass jug; do not exceed the MAX line.
- Put the lid on the jug and close securely. Correctly mount the jug assembly onto the motor base and turn clockwise to lock. Note: The blender will not operate if the jug assembly is not installed correctly. Plug in the blender.
Switch on the blender by turning the control knob to one of the following settings: SPEED SETTING| USE
---|---
CHOP (1)| Low speed, to combine delicate foods using a folding motion. This is good for combining wet and dry ingredients.
LIQUIFY (2)| High speed, ideal for breaking down ingredients to make ice-based drinks and other finely blend-ed mixtures.
PULSE (P)| Short high-power burst. - Always move the knob to the ‘O’ position after using the blender. Remove the glass jug from the motor base by turning it anticlockwise. Pour out the processed food and unplug the blender.
TIPS: Blending jug
- Run the blender only for the amount of time required. Do not over-blend the ingredients.
- Use the PULSE setting when food is too thick or coarse to circulate in the jug.
- If any moisture or liquid appears on the top of the motor base during blending, immediately switch off the blender and unplug it. Remove the blender jug, and wipe the motor base with a dry cloth or paper towel.
- This blender can process a maximum of 8 ice cubes from a standard ice tray at one time.
- Thicker mixtures puree more easily if the jug is full.
- Do not insert metal utensils into the jug as they may damage the blades or blender jug.
- Do not blend heavy mixtures for more than 10 seconds at a time. For normal blending tasks, do not blend for more than 1 minute. If you do need to blend for longer, first turn off the blender and stir the ingredients before starting again. This rest will help protect the motor from wear and tear.
- The blender cannot knead dough or mash potatoes.
- Do not blend hot or boiling ingredients. Allow food to cool down to a warm temperature before placing it in the blender. This is to safeguard against sudden bursts of steam that could dislodge the lid.
- When blending warm ingredients, place a tea towel over the lid and hold it down firmly.
Overload protection system
The motor cannot run for more than 3 minutes. After a shutdown, it is
necessary to let the motor cool down to room temperature.
Following the MAX line will help to prevent over-loading. However, some dense
combinations of ingredients may still strain the motor. If the motor seems to
be straining or running slowly, either operate the blender for only 10 seconds
at a time or reduce the amount of ingredients. Adding more liquid can also
help loosen dense mixtures.

check whether the seal ring is in the correct position.
Blender stops suddenly while in use| We recommend blending in smaller batches
or cutting ingredients into smaller pieces.
