Safety Precautions
Before installation, please read and follow these safety precautions:

  • Risk of Shock: If you are directly wiring the driver to a 120-volt circuit with an AC dimmer, always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installing.
  • Proper Wiring: Always connect the positive (+) wire to the positive terminal and the negative (-) wire to the negative terminal. Ensure that the positive wire never touches the negative wire while powered.
  • Ventilation: The driver should be installed in a well-ventilated area and should not be placed in an airtight compartment. Cooler surrounding air temperatures will help extend the life of the driver.
  • Electrical Codes: All wiring must be done by national and local electrical codes for low-voltage Class 2 circuits.
  • Mounting: Mount the driver flat to the surface to provide heat transfer for better cooling.
  • Temperature: It is normal for the driver to feel warm to the touch, especially when under a full wattage load.
  • Wire Runs Inside Walls: For wire runs inside walls, use certified CL2 or better cabling and appropriate mounting hardware.
  • Single Driver per LED Strip: Never connect two LED drivers to a single run of LED strips.
  • Wattage Limit: The total wattage of LED fixtures connected to the driver must not exceed the wattage rating of this unit. If you are unsure about the wattage rating of your lighting, please contact the manufacturer of your lighting.
