Safety Information
Before installing and using the GOOVER UL LED Strip Light, please read and follow the safety information provided below:
- Ensure that the power supply is compatible with the AC dimmer. Refer to the power supply instructions for compatibility.
- When using a 120-volt AC dimmer, the Dimmable LED Driver/Power Supply must be directly wired to household current.
- Observe polarity when making connections. Connect positive to positive and negative to negative. Check wire colors and polarity markings on the tape to align correctly.
- Do not connect the strip light directly to high voltage power. Read all warnings and installation instructions carefully.
- Handle the LED tape light with care:
- Do not bend the LED strip light to a diameter less than 1.5 inches.
- Do not fold, crease, or twist the LED strip light.
- Do not bend the LED strip light on a horizontal plane.
- Do not put excessive pressure on the surface of the tape light (e.g., glass/acrylic panes).
- Do not cover the strip light with any materials.
- Do not power the strip light while attached to a spool or tightly coiled.
Installation
- Cutting the Tape Light (optional):
- Use scissors to cut the tape light at the designated cutting mark.
- Clean the surface where you intend to install the GOOVER LED Strips.
- Remove the backing from the light strip to reveal the adhesive tape.
- Press down and run the strip in a straight line onto the surface.
- Use mounting clips if needed to make the power source wire and strips stable.
- If the adhesive tape is not sticking, clean the mounting surface thoroughly. For certain surfaces like wood, stone, and other rough materials, try using GOOVER Foam Tape, Mounting Clips, or an adhesive suited to the material.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with the GOOVER LED Strip Light, refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
- Lights not turning on?
- Confirm that the strip is connected to a 12V DC power source.
- If connected to a controller, ensure that it is switched on.
- Lights not lighting up?
- Check the voltage of your power source. Anything below the required 12V DC may result in no lighting up.

SAFETY INFORMATION
- DANGER: Risk of eye damage. Do not stare directly at the LED chips of this LED strip.
- CAUTION: Do not power LED tape while coiled on reel.
- IMPORTANT: Always observe polarity for 12-volt connections, positive (+) to positive and negative (–) to negative.
- IMPORTANT: Do not install Class 2 low voltage wiring in the same runs as AC main power. If AC and low voltage wires cross, keep them at 90-degree angles. Use only insulated staples, plastic ties, or wire support clips to secure cords and wires.
- Use only the output DC 12-volt LED lighting.
- Do not bend, crush or pull the cable. Protect from sharp edges, oil and heat.
- Ensure the connectors are securely fastened before operating the tape.
- Electrical waste should not be disposed of with household waste.
- Please recycle where facilities exist.
