Instructions

  1. Take one paper cup and cut off the end.
  2. Take one Solo cup and cut off the end.
  3. Blow up a balloon and let the air out.
  4. Cut the tip of the balloon out.
  5. Stretch the balloon over the top of the cup.
  6. Use the pencils to hit the top of your drum!

The Science
As you hit the balloon, a vibration occurs which creates a sound. By changing the base of the cup and the material, you can change the vibration and in turn, change the sound produced.
