Control Panel Configuration

ID50/60

  1. To enable the RS232 port on the control panel, proceed as follows:
  2. Reposition jumper J9 or MEN at the end of programming.

ID3000

  1. To enable the RS232 port of the ISO-RS232 option card, follow the steps below in the control panel menu:
  2. Configuration
  3. Central configuration
  4. Conf. Isolated RS232 port
  5. Integration Protocol 4800 bps Version: 2: 011 (only if Half Duplex is not available)
  6. Controls: enabled/disabled *1
  7. Com. monitoring: disabled
  8. Time monitoring: 0

*1 If the controls are disabled, no commands can be sent to the control panel.

AM-8200

  1. To enable the RS232 port on the control panel using the SIB-8200 board, proceed as follows:
  2. Press PRGM (default code 44444)
  3. Select ‘Program or device configuration’
  4. Select ‘SIB’
  5. In Installed, press Enter and use the ‘up/down’ cursor keys to change to ‘YES’

Control panel configuration

ID50/60
To enable the RS232 port on the control panel, proceed as follows:

  • Release the control panel programming lock, remove jumper J9 or MEN
  • Run the programme and open the programming file.
  • If you do not have the programming file, run the programme and click on
  • Tools > Receiving Data from Central
  • When finished, press Save, specifying a path and a name for the file.
  • Click on the Panel icon on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Select the ‘Device Options’ window.
  • In the part marked RS232 (right), where it says RS232 Protocol, enter
  • Integration
  • Under ‘RS232 Options’, select HALF DUPLEX.
  • In the section ‘Monitoring the Integration of Communications’, select ‘Cancellation’.
  • Save the data, click on Tools>Send to Panel
  • When prompted, enter installer code 3333, in order to perform the dump
  • Reposition jumper J9 or MEN at the end of programming.

ID3000
To enable the RS232 port of the ISO-RS232 option card, follow the steps below in the control panel menu (to unlock the keyboard and access the menu, turn the service button on the front panel, next to the keyboard, a quarter turn to the right):

  • 6. Configuration

  • 3. Integration Protocol 4800 bps
