Product Information

This product is a fixture that requires installation according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code specifications. Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Disconnect power at the main fuse box before starting the installation.
  2. Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from the box. If anything is missing, please get in touch with the retailer from which the product was purchased.
  3. Carefully pull house wires out of the junction box so they are easily accessible during installation.
  4. Position the mounting bracket (A) so that the threaded ends of the attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing down towards the floor.
  5. Pull the house wires through the center hole in the mounting bracket (A) and align the small holes in the mounting bracket (A) with the holes in the junction box.
  6. Thread each junction box screw (B) into the appropriate hole in the mounting bracket (A) and into the hole in the junction box. Tighten the junction box screws (B) to secure the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. Make sure the house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket and do not pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.

Wire Connections

  1. Strip 3/4 of the insulation from the ends of the fixture wires.
  2. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture V ground wire and the end of the house ground wire (copper) together. Twist a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it.
  3. Connect the black lead supply (house) wire to the black wire or parallel cord (round and smooth) or any insulated wire (other than green) with a copper conductor. Twist a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it.
  4. Connect the white neutral supply (house) wire to the white wire or parallel cord (square and ridged) or any insulated wire (other than green) with a silver conductor. Twist a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it.
  5. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire nuts (C) and wires to ensure they are securely fastened.
  6. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

    CAUTION : Make sure house wires are pulled completely through hole in the mounting bracket. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.

  5. Strip 3/4” of insulation from ends of fixture wires.

  6. Slightly loosen ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to fixture ground wire. Twist end of fixture ground wire and end of house ground wire (copper) together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart below for correct wire connections.

  7. Twist end of house lead wire (black) and end of fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.
    Connect Supply (House) Ground Copper Wire to:

    Bare Copper Wire or,
    Bare Silver Wire or,
    Green Insulated Wire.

  8. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.

  9. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into junction box.
    Connect Black Lead Supply (House) Wire to:| Connect White Neutral Supply (House) Wire to:

with Copper Conductor.

*When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) is used: The lead wire is round in shape or smooth. The neutral wire is square or ridged.

  1. Carefully raise fixture up to ceiling. Place canopy (D) of fixture over mounting bracket (A). Pass holes in canopy (D) over ends of fixture mounting screws (E).
  2. Screw one threaded cap (F) onto end of each fixture mounting screw (E). Tighten threaded caps (F) to secure fixture to ceiling. DO NOT over tighten.
  3. Pass hole in top of shade (K) over socket. Slip spacer (G) over socket. Thread socket ring (L) onto socket. Tighten socket ring (L) to secure shade (K) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.
  4. Screw recommended bulb (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into socket. Verify correct bulb wattage marked on socket of fixture. WARNING: DO NOT exceed the maximum bulb wattage
