Product Information

This is a fixture that is intended for installation by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. It is recommended to have the fixture installed by a certified electrician if you are not familiar with code requirements.

Product Usage Instructions

Section 1: Pre-Assembly

  1. Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from the box.
  2. If anything is missing, please get in touch with the retailer from which the product was purchased.

Section 2: Mounting Bracket Installation

  1. Hold the mounting bracket (A) so that the two holes along the edge of the bracket are on the left and right sides, and the head of the attached ground screw is facing outward.
  2. Carefully pull the house wires through the round hole in the mounting bracket (A).
  3. Align the holes in the mounting bracket (A) with the holes in the junction box.
  4. Thread each junction box screw (B) into the holes in the mounting bracket (A) and into the holes in the junction box.
  5. Tighten the junction box screws (B) to secure the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. Make sure the house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. Avoid pinching wires between the mounting bracket and the wall.

Section 3: Wiring Connections

  1. Strip 3/4 of insulation from the ends of the fixture wires.
  2. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A), but do not completely remove it.
  3. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire.
  4. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together.
  5. Twist a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart for correct wire connections.
  6. Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together.
  7. Twist a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it.
  8. Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together.
  9. Twist a wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart for correct wire connections.
  10. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire nuts (C) and wires to secure them.
  11. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

Section 4: Backplate Installation

  1. Place the backplate (D) over the mounting bracket (A). Avoid pinching wires between the backplate and the wall.

INSTALLATION

  1. Hold mounting bracket (A) so the two holes along the edge of the mounting bracket (A) are on the left and right of the mounting bracket (A) and the head of the attached ground screw is facing outward.
  2. Carefully pull house wires through round hole in the mounting bracket (A). Align holes in mounting bracket (A) with holes in the junction box.
  3. Thread each junction box screw (B) into holes in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. CAUTION: Make sure house wires are pulled completely through hole in mounting bracket. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and wall.
  4. Strip 3/4” of insulation from ends of fixture wires.
  5. Slightly loosen ground screw on mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to fixture ground wire. Twist end of fixture ground wire and end of house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart below for correct wire connections.
    Connect Supply (House) Ground Copper Wire to:

    Bare Copper Wire or,
    Bare Silver Wire or,
    Green Insulated Wire.

  6. Twist end of the house lead wire (black) and end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist end of the house neutral wire (white) and end of fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.
  7. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.
  8. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.
    Connect Black Lead Supply (House) Wire to:| Connect White Neutral Supply (House) Wire to:

    Black Wire or,| White Wire or,
    Parallel Cord (Round and Smooth) or,| Parallel Cord (Square and Ridged) or,
    No printed words on wire insulation or,| Printed words on wire insulation or,
    Insulated Wire (other than green)

with Copper Conductor.

| Insulated Wire (other than green)

with Silver Conductor.

*When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) is used: The lead wire is round in shape or smooth. The neutral wire is square in shape or ridged.

  1. Place backplate (D) over mounting bracket (A).
    CAUTION : Do not pinch wires between the backplate and the wall.

  2. Align holes in each side of the backplate (D) with holes along edge of the mounting bracket (A).
    Thread fixture mounting screws (E) into holes in the backplate (D) and into holes in the mounting bracket (A). Tighten fixture mounting screws (E) to secure the fixture to the wall.

  3. Screw recommended bulb (E12 candelabra bulb type, not included) into the socket. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture.
    WARNING : DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage.
