Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Preparing for Installation
Before assembly, remove all parts and packages from the box. If any parts are missing, contact the retailer from which the product was purchased. Disconnect power at the main fuse box before starting the installation process to ensure safety.

Step 2: Mounting Bracket Installation

  1. Carefully pull the house wires down out of the junction box to make them easily accessible.
  2. Place the mounting bracket up against the junction box, ensuring that the screw collar loop is pointing down towards the floor.
  3. Align each slot in the mounting bracket with each hole in the junction box.
  4. Thread one junction box screw into each slot in the mounting bracket and into the holes in the junction box. Tighten the screws to secure the mounting bracket to the junction box. Ensure that the house wires are still easily accessible and not pinched between the bracket and ceiling.

Step 3: Fixture Assembly

  1. Carefully push the fixture wires from the top of the fixture body up through the bottom of the center stem. Pull the wires taut and screw the center stem onto the top of the fixture body.
  2. Push the fixture wires up through the bottom of the loop and pull them taut. Screw the bottom of the loop onto the top of the center stem.
  3. Connect one locking link to the loop on top of the center stem.
  4. Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture and cut the chain to achieve that height.
  5. Slip the chain link at the end of the chain onto the locking link on the loop.
  6. Weave the fixture wires through the chain links, skipping every other chain link.
  7. Slip the threaded ring down over the end of the chain.
  8. Position the canopy so that the outside is pointing down towards the fixture. Slip the hole in the canopy over the end of the chain.

Step 4: Wiring Connection

  1. Strip 3/4 of insulation from both ends of the fixture wires.
  2. Push the fixture wires up through the hole in the screw collar loop attached to the mounting bracket and out of the end of the threaded pipe inside the junction box. Ensure that the fixture wires are easily accessible to connect to the house wires.
  3. To aid in connecting fixture wires to house wires, temporarily connect a second locking link to the end of the chain and to the screw collar loop.
  4. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough wire to attach to the fixture ground wire.
  5. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Secure them with a wire nut. Completely tighten the wire nut.

  1. Carefully pull house wires down out of junction box so house wires are easily accessed to connect fixture wires.
  2. If screw collar loop (W) is already attached to mounting bracket (A), proceed to Step 3. To assemble screw collar loop (W) to mounting bracket (A): Hold mounting bracket (A) so head of ground screw is pointing down towards floor. Hold threaded pipe so two hexnuts already attached to threaded pipe (E) are pointing down towards floor. From side of mounting bracket with ground screw head, screw short end of threaded pipe (E) into hole in center of mounting bracket (A) until hexnut on threaded pipe (E) touches mounting bracket. Thread hexnut (V) onto end of threaded pipe (E). Tighten hexnut (V) to secure threaded pipe (E) to mounting bracket (A). Thread screw collar loop (W) onto end of threaded pipe pointing down towards floor. Tighten screw collar loop up against hexnut on threaded pipe (E).elk-Home-89925-1-Polished-Nickel-Pendant-Ceiling-Light-1
  3. Place mounting bracket (A) up against junction box. Screw collar loop (E) should be pointing down towards floor. Align each slot in mounting bracket (A) with each hole in junction box.
  4. Thread one junction box screw (B) into each slot in mounting bracket (A) and into holes in junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to junction box.
  5. Carefully push fixture wires from top of fixture body (O) up through bottom of center stem (M). Pull fixture wires taut. Screw center stem (M) onto top of fixture body (O).
  6. Push fixture wires up through bottom of loop (L). Pull fixture wires taut. Screw bottom of loop (L) onto top of center stem (M).
  7. Connect one locking link (G) to loop (L) on top of center stem (M).
  8. Determine desired hanging height of fixture. Cut chain (H) to length to achieve desired height.
  9. Slip chain link at end of chain (H) onto locking link (G) on loop.
  10. Weave fixture wires through chain links, skipping every other chain link.
  11. Slip threaded ring (F) down over end of chain (H).
  12. Position canopy (D) so outside of canopy is pointing down towards fixture. Slip hole in canopy (D) over end of chain (H).
  13. Strip 3/4” of insulation from ends of fixture wires.elk-Home-89925-1-Polished-Nickel-Pendant-Ceiling-Light-4
  14. Carefully push fixture wires up through hole in screw collar loop (W) attached to mounting bracket (A) and out end of threaded pipe inside junction box. Carefully pull fixture wires so they are easily accessible to connect to house wires.
  15. To aid in connecting fixture wires to house wires, temporarily connect second locking link (G) to link at end of chain (H) and to screw collar loop (W).
  16. Slightly loosen ground screw on mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to fixture ground wire. Twist end of fixture ground wire and end of house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart below for correct wire connections.
  17. Twist end of house lead wire (black) and end of fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist end of house neutral wire (white) and end of fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.
  18. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.
  19. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into junction box.
  20. Remove second locking link (G) from last link on chain (H) and screw collar loop (W).
  21. Raise canopy (D) up to ceiling. Pass hole in canopy (D) over screw collar loop (W). Position canopy (D) up against ceiling.
  22. Raise threaded ring (F) up to canopy (D). Screw threaded ring (F) onto screw collar loop (W). Tighten threaded ring (F) to secure fixture to ceiling.elk-Home-89925-1-Polished-Nickel-Pendant-Ceiling-Light-6
  23. Attach second locking link (G) to link at end of chain (H). Attach locking link (G) at end of chain (H) to loop on screw collar loop (W).
