WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER AT THE MAIN FUSE BOX BEFORE INSTALLATION.

WARNING:

  • This fixture is intended for installation under the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended.
  • Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from a box. If anything is missing, please contact the retailer from which the product was purchased.

USING INSTRUCTION

  1. Carefully pull house wires out of the junction box so they are easily accessible during installation.

  2. Position mounting bracket (A) so threaded ends of attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing down towards the floor.

  3. Carefully pull house wires through the centre hole in the mounting bracket (A). Align small holes in mounting bracket (A) with holes in the junction box.

  4. Thread each junction box screw (B) into the appropriate hole in the mounting bracket (A) and hole in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
    CAUTION: Make sure house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.elk HOME-89284-1-Inch-Brushed-Gold-Semi-Flush-Mount-Ceiling-Light-

  5. Strip 3/4” of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.

  6. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to fixture ground wire. Twist end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire (copper) together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut
    (C). Reference chart below for correct wire connections.

  7. Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.

  8. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.

  9. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into a junction box.

  10. Carefully raise the fixture up to the ceiling. Place canopy (D) of fixture over mounting bracket (A). Pass holes in canopy (D) over ends of fixture mounting screws (E).

  11. Screw one threaded cap (F) onto the end of each fixture mounting screw (E). Tighten threaded caps (F) to secure the fixture to the ceiling. DO NOT over-tighten.

  12. Pass hole in top of shade (K) over the socket. Thread socket ring (L) onto socket. Tighten socket ring (L) to secure shade (K) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.

  13. Screw recommended bulb (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into the socket. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture. WARNING: DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage.POWERNESS-SolarX-S890-80W-Portable-Solar-Panel-with-Patented-LCD-Digital-Window-FIG-5
