- Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness.

This spout cup is intended for use with diluted drinks. Thick, fizzy or pulpy drinks may block the valve and cause it to break or leak. This spout cup is not designed for preparing infant formula. Do not use the spout cup to mix and shake infant formula as this can clog the holes and cause the spout cup to leak. Do not overtighten the drinking top on the spout cup. Do not put the spout cup in the freezer compartment. The spout cup is also suitable for electric and microwave sterilization. Only use a microwave sterilizer or Philips Avent microwave sterilizing bags (SCF297) to sterilize any part of the spout cup in the microwave. Make sure all parts are properly assembled before you give the spout cup to your child. It is not recommended to use a microwave to warm up baby food or drinks. Microwaves may destroy valuable nutrients in food/drinks and may produce localized high temperatures. If you decide to use the microwave, take extra care to stir heated food/ drinks to ensure even heat distribution and check the temperature before serving. To prevent scalding, let hot liquid cool down before you fill the spout cup. Only place the container in the microwave, without the valve, screw ring, spout and cap. Do not allow children to play with small parts or walk/run while using bottles or cups. Always discard any breast milk that is left over at the end of a feed. Inspect before each use and pull the feeding teat or spout in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Do not use the feeding teat or spout and handles with a glass bottle
Before first use
Disassemble all parts, clean and then sterilize the parts by placing in boiling water for 5 minutes or sterilize by using a Philips Avent sterilizer. This is to ensure hygiene.
Assembly
Always assemble and disassemble the spout cup as shown in the figure in this user manual.
Cleaning and storage
- Clean all parts before each use to ensure hygiene.
- After each use, disassemble all parts, wash in warm, soapy water, remove any food residues and rinse thoroughly. Then sterilize using a Philips Avent sterilizer or boil for 5 minutes. Make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly and that the surfaces are clean before contact with sterilized components.
- During sterilization with boiling water, prevent the parts from touching the side of the pot. This can cause irreversible product deformation, defect or damage that Philips cannot be held liable for. Food colorings may discolor parts. This product is dishwasher safe.
- Do not place the product in a heated oven.
- Do not bring the cup parts in contact with or place on surfaces with abrasive or antibacterial cleaning agents. We recommend replacing spouts every 3 months. Keep spouts in a dry, covered container. Do not leave a feeding teat or spout in direct sunlight or heat, or leave in disinfectant (sterilizing solution) for longer than recommended, as this may weaken it.
