WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER AT THE MAIN FUSE BOX BEFORE INSTALLATION.

WARNING
This fixture is intended for installation under the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended. Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from the box. If anything is missing, please contact the retailer from which the product was purchased.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  1. Carefully pull house wires down out of the junction box so house wires are easily accessed to connect fixture wires.

  2. If the screw collar loop (W) is already attached to the mounting bracket (A), proceed to Step 3. To assemble screw collar loop (W) to mounting bracket (A): Hold mounting bracket (A) so the head of the ground screw is pointing down towards the floor. Hold threaded pipe so two hex nuts already attached to threaded pipe (E) are pointing down towards the floor. From side of the mounting bracket with the ground screw head, screw short end of the threaded pipe (E) into the hole in the center of the mounting bracket (A) until the hex nut on the threaded pipe (E) touches the mounting bracket. Thread hex nut (V) onto the end of the threaded pipe (E). Tighten hex nut (V) to secure threaded pipe (E) to mounting bracket (A). Thread screw collar loop (W) onto the end of threaded pipe pointing down towards the floor. Tighten the screw collar loop up against hex nut on the threaded pipe (E).

  3. Place mounting bracket (A) up against the junction box. Screw collar loop (E) should be pointing down towards the floor. Align each slot in mounting bracket (A) with each hole in the junction box.

  4. Thread one junction box screw (B) into each slot in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
CAUTION: Make sure house wires are still easily accessible. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.elk-Home-89965-5-5-Light-

  5. Carefully push fixture wires from top of the fixture body (O) up through the bottom of the center stem (M). Pull fixture wires taut. Screw center stem (M) onto top of fixture body (O).

  6. Slip fixture wires through hole in top trim (N). Slip hole in top trim (N) over top of center stem (M).

  7. Push fixture wires up through the bottom of loop (L). Pull fixture wires taut. Screw the bottom of loop (L) onto top of the center stem (M).

  8. Connect one locking link (G) to loop (L).

  9. Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture. Cut chain (H) to length to achieve the desired height.

  10. Slip the chain link at the end of the chain (H) onto the locking link (G) on loop (L).

  11. Weave fixture wires through chain links, skipping every other chain link.

  12. Slip the threaded ring (F) down over end of the chain (H).

  13. Position canopy (D) so the outside of canopy is pointing down towards the fixture. Slip hole in canopy (D) over the end of the chain (H).elk-Home-89965-5-5-Light-Chandelier-fig-2

  14. Strip 3/4” of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.

  15. Carefully push fixture wires up through the hole in the screw collar loop (W) attached to mounting bracket (A) and out end of threaded pipe inside the junction box. Carefully pull fixture wires so they are easily accessible to connect to house wires.

  16. To aid in connecting fixture wires to house wires, temporarily connect the second locking link (G) to the link at the end of the chain (H) and to the screw collar loop (W).

  17. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to fixture ground wire. Twist end of fixture ground wire and end of house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.

    • Bare Copper Wire or,
    • Bare Silver Wire or,
    • Green Insulated Wire.elk-Home-89965-5-5-Light-Chandelier-fig-3
  18. Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.

  19. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.

  20. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

  1. Remove the second locking link (G) from last link on chain (H) and screw collar loop (W).
  2. Raise canopy (D) up to the ceiling. Pass hole in the canopy (D) over screw collar loop (W). Position canopy (D) up against the ceiling.
  3. Raise threaded ring (F) up to canopy (D). Screw threaded ring (F) onto screw collar loop (W). Tighten the threaded ring (F) to secure the fixture to the ceiling.
  4. Attach the second locking link (G) to the link at end of the chain (H). Attach locking link (G) at end of the chain (H) to loop on screw collar loop (W).
  5. Set each shade (K) down over the socket.
  6. Screw recommended bulbs (E12 candelabra bulb type, not included) into sockets. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture.
WARNING: DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage.
