Connect the front half of the housing (11) with the rear half (17) using the housing bolts (10) and nuts (16). Place the assembled the housing in the desired position. Mark the centres of the 4 holes to be drilled and put the housing to one side. Now drill the holes in the marked positions about 50 mm deep using a Ø12 mm drill bit.

Commissioning
Water supply connection options There are two options for connecting the shower to the water supply:
-
Connection using the supplied tap connector (14)
Connect the water hose to the tap connector (14) using a hose connector. -
Direct connection with union nut Unscrew the tap connector (14) and remove the seal (13).
Screw the garden hose together with union nut and a seal.
Important
Do not use any salt or antifreeze.
Do not under any circumstances attach an additional pump, only a cold water
supply with a maximum pressure of 3.5 bar.
Filling the shower
Turn off the tap (8) and turn the mixer lever (4) all the way to the
red position (left). Now turn on the water at the water connection.
The shower will now fill with water – it can take up to 2 minutes until the
shower is completely full.
As soon as water starts to drip out of the shower head (2), move the mixer
lever (4) to the middle position and switch off.
Note
The heating-up time depends on the water temperature of the shower, the outside temperature and the intensity of the solar radiation. The wind can also have a negative effect on the heating of the water temperature. We recommend that you drain the water and replace it if necessary, if you do not use the shower for 3 days. – See ‘Non use/ winter storage’.
Caution
Under certain circumstances, the water in the shower cylinder pipe can become
very hot (up to 60 °C).
Therefore, when using the shower, please comply with the following rules:
- The water temperature can be regulated with the mixer lever (4).
- Before you turn on the mixer lever (4), make sure that the lever is in the cold water position (BLUE – right).
- Regulate the temperature slowly, by turning the mixer lever (4) to warm water (RED – left.
**** Non-use/ Winter Storage
Non-use
If you are not going to be using the shower for an extended period, switch off the water supply, turn on the mixer lever (4) and tap (8) and drain the existing water in the shower. Then leave the mixer lever (4) and tap (8) on.
Winter storage
Before the outside temperature drops to <5 °C, switch off the water supply, turn on the mixer lever (4) and tap (8) and drain the existing water in the shower. Then leave the mixer lever (4) and tap (8) on. Disconnect the water supply (see Water supply connection options) at the tap connection (14) and remove the sealing plug (15) to drain the water inside the shower.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the hand shower and tap
Only use water and if necessary, a descaling agent. Do not use any aggressive chemicals. To ensure the full flow rate, clean the shower head (2) and tap (8) periodically, or when limescale or dirt builds up. Do not use scouring agents.
Cleaning the shower housing
Only use water and a soft cloth. Clean the shower housing (3) periodically, or if dust and dirt have built up, to ensure that the shower housing (3) is best able to convert solar radiation into warm water.
**** Troubleshooting
Some problems caused by minor faults you can fix yourself. Follow the instructions below for each respective problem. However, if it is not possible to solve the problem this way, please contact Customer Service and provide the necessary information listed under ‘Ordering replacement Parts’.
Problem | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
No water comes out of the hand shower | The mixer control is off | Check if the |
mains supply is turned on
Kink in the garden hose| Turn the mixer control (7) right (red) so that
the water flows out of the hand shower (5)
Tap connector blocked| Check whether the garden hose is kinked and remove the
problem.
Hand shower blocked| Unscrew the tap connector (2) and check whether
solids have built up.
The shower is in the shade| Unscrew the hand shower (5), hold a hosepipe
over the inlet of the hand shower and see whether water flows through. If not,
the hand shower is probably blocked with limescale
No warm water| The water does not heat up| A shady installation position may
prevent the shower from heating up – position the shower in´the sun.
The mixer control is off| Wait about 2 hours, until the sun has heated the
water
The water is turned off| Turn the mixer control (7) to the right (red)
Only hot water| The mixer control is off| Check if the mains supply is turned
on
Kink in the garden hose| Turn the mixer control (7) so that the water
flows out of the hand shower (5)
Tap connector blocked| Check whether the garden hose is kinked and remove the
problem.
Kraan Aansluiting is verstopt| Unscrew the tap connector (2) and check
whether solids have built up.
Water continues to drip after the mixing control has been turned off| This is
not a fault, but a function of the system. The heating of the water causes am
overpressure, which can lead to dripping/ a light flow of water for about 15
minutes. Once the pressure has dissipated, the water will stop dripping.
