IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The safety precautions are part of the appliance. Read all of the instructions in this manual carefully before installation or using your new appliance for the first time. Keep them in a place where you can find and for future reference.
- The appliance is intended to prepare beverages according to these instructions.
- Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
- This appliance has been designed for indoor and non-extreme temperature conditions use only.
- Protect the appliance from direct sunlight effect, prolonged water splash and humidity. ŸThis appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age, as long as they are supervised and have been given instructions about using the appliance safely and are fully aware of the dangers involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and they are supervised by an adult.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
- This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or whose experience or knowledge is not sufficient, provided they are supervised or have received instruction to use of the appliance safely and understand the dangers.
- Children shall not use the device as a toy.
- The manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the warranty will not apply for any commercial use, inappropriate handling or use of the appliance, any damage resulting from use for other purpose, faulty operation, non-professionals’ repair or failure to comply with the instructions.
Avoid risk of fatal electric shock and fire.
- In case of an emergency: immediately remove the plug from the power socket.
- Only plug the appliance into suitable, easily accessible, earthed mains connections. Make sure that the voltage of the power source is the same as that specified on the rating plate. The use of an incorrect connection voids the warranty. The appliance must only be connected after installation.
- Do not pull the cord over sharp edges, clamp it or allow it to hang down.
- Keep the cord away from heat and damp.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons, in order to avoid all risks.
- If the cord is damaged, do not operate the appliance.
- If an extension cord is required, use only an earthed cord with a conductor cross-section matching input power.
- To avoid hazardous damage, never place the appliance on or beside hot surface such as radiators, stoves, ovens, gas burners, open flame, or similar
- Always place it on a horizontal, stable and even surface. The surface must be resistant to heat and fluids, like water, coffee or similar.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use for a long period. Disconnect by pulling out the plug and not by pulling the cord itself or the cord may become damaged.
- Before cleaning and servicing, remove the plug from the mains socket and let the appliance cool down.
- Never touch the cord with wet hands.
- Never immerse the appliance or part of it in water or other liquid.
- Never put the appliance or part of it in a dishwasher.
- Electricity and water together is dangerous and can lead to fatal electrical shocks.
- Do not open the appliance. Hazardous voltage inside!
- Do not put anything into any openings. Doing so may cause fire or electrical shock! Avoid possible harm when operating the appliance.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.
- Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or not operating perfectly. Immediately remove the power plug from the power socket. Contact the authorized representative for examination, repair or adjustment.
- A damaged appliance can cause electrical shocks, burns and fire.
- Always completely close the operating lever and never open it during operation. Scalding may occur.
- Do not put fingers under coffee extraction nozzle, risk of scalding.
- Do not put fingers into capsule compartment or the capsule shaft. Danger of injury!
- Water could flow around a capsule when not perforated by the blades and damage the appliance.
- Never use a damaged or deformed capsule. If a capsule is blocked in the capsule compartment, turn the machine off and unplug it before any operation. Contact the authorized representative.
- Fill the water tank only with fresh and potable water.
- Empty water tank if the appliance will not be used for an extended time (holidays, etc.).
- Replace water in water tank when the appliance is not operated for a weekend or a similar period of time.
- Do not use the appliance without the drip tray and drip grid to avoid spilling any liquid on surrounding surfaces.
- Do not use any strong cleaning agent or solvent cleaner. Use a damp cloth and mild cleaning agent to clean the surface of the appliance.
- To clean machine, use only clean cleaning tools.
- The manufacturer reserves the right to change instructions without prior notice.

USING YOUR COFFEE MACHINE
Using your coffee machine for the first time
Confirm whether any accessories are missing and the appliance is not damaged.
Then clean the inner parts, then install and operate the machine as per
following steps with diagrams.
- Rinse the water tank then filling with potable water
- Install water tank, drip tray and capsule container in proper position on the machine
- Turn the machine ON by connecting the plug into mains, both coffee buttons blink for three times then lights go out
- Press any coffee button to start heating up with continually lights blinking for approximately 40-50 seconds
- When buttons stop blinking and shows steady light, the machine is ready for use
- Press and hold Espresso and Lungo buttons simultaneously to turn OFF the machine
Note: Before making any coffee, make sure to rinse your machine by:

Placing a container under coffee extraction nozzle.

Closing the operating lever and pressing the Lungo button to rinse the machine.

Repeat this three times. Regular coffee extraction:

After filling with potable water into the tank, repeat previous operations from step Fig.5 to
-
Place a cup on the Espresso coffee cup tray or Lungo coffee cup tray

Open the operating lever, insert a capsule and then closed
-
Press Espresso or Lungo coffee button with its light blinking, the coffee extraction operations starts

Open the operating lever after extraction stopped, the capsule will be automatically ejected and drop into the used capsule container
Note:
- The pre-defined factory volume for Espresso coffee (25-30ml) / Lungo coffee (50-60ml)
- Extraction will stop automatically or press the selected coffee button to stop ahead.
Energy saving concept:
- Automatic OFF mode: the machine will turn into OFF mode automatically after 30 minutes of non use. The boiler turned off and the external surface of the machine cools down. All button indicator lights on the control panel go out.
- When user press any extraction button again, the appliance leaves from standby mode, restart heating up process until “Ready to use” mode in approximately 40-50 seconds.
Alerts and alarms:
- NTC malfunction:
Both coffee extraction buttons blinking alternately (see Fig. 13: Luminous alert for NTC malfunction alarm). Please turn the appliance OFF, wait for 2 minutes and turn it on again to check if the problem solved. If not, contact the authorized representative for examination, repair or adjustment.

PERSONALIZED SETTING
The control panel also can be used to personalize the different extracted
coffee capacity.
Note: The pre-defined factory volume for Espresso coffee (25-30ml) /
Lungo coffee (50-60ml).

Check whether there is any potable water in the water tank, ensure the machine turn ON. Waiting until the control panel buttons indicate “Ready to use” (see Fig. 7).

Then press any coffee button and hold for 3 seconds until coffee flow out then
released the button (see Fig. 14). As soon as the extraction has reached the capacity desired, press the selected coffee button again and the operation complete. -
The machine will memorize current personalized setting and keep same capacity extraction for next time unless new programming has been defined.
Note: If the user fails to press the coffee extraction button to complete the above operation, the appliance will automatically extract coffee for 1 minute (Volume of approx. 150-180ml).
RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS
- Factory setting for Espresso coffee (25-30ml) / Lungo coffee (50-60ml).
- Ensure the machine is turn OFF without mains connected.
- Press and hold Espresso and Lungo buttons together for at least 3 seconds, and plug the machine into mains simultaneously (see Fig. 15).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Warning: Always confirm that the appliance has been turned OFF from the mains after each use or before cleaning.
- Empty the drip tray and the used capsule container after each use.
- Clean the coffee extraction nozzle and inside the machine regularly with a damp cloth.
- Never immerse the appliance or part of it in water.
- Do not use any strong or abrasive solvent, sponge or cream cleaner. Do not put in the dishwasher.
- In order to keep your coffee machine working efficiently, you must regularly clean the mineral deposits produced by the water. You are recommended to carry out descaling to the appliance every three months or after approx. 200 capsule extractions.
- Please do following steps as “using your coffee machine for the first time” when you want to operate the appliance again if it is not operated for a weekend or a similar period of time.
